After about half an hour, Ryan had figured out some of the rules. Freedom Street was divided into commercial shops and market stalls. The former were regulated and controlled by Umbral Expanse, and most of the goods sold there could be guaranteed authentic. The latter lay deeper within Freedom Street, among the Wizard stalls in the plaza camp, where rare treasures could be bought at extremely low prices. Of course, you had to be sure you could find the original stall again a few minutes later.

"My Magic Stones! That damn swindler cheated me out of all my Magic Stones!" A young man wailed, rolling on the ground and clearing out a large patch of space around himself. His agonized expression bore immense grievance. The surrounding people watched coldly, while quite a few stall owners let out mocking laughs. Most people entering the plaza camp hid their faces; after changing their appearance, where could anyone possibly find them?

Ryan watched the farce unfolding before him, his brows beneath the black human-face mask knitting slightly.

This was far too common in the plaza camp. Everyone thought they could strike it rich on a bargain, thought they were special, only to end up cheated out of everything. With the slightest inquiry, one could hear countless examples and stories, yet people still kept falling for scams.

Ryan passed by the man and walked farther inward. Behind him came the rebuke of an Enforcement Wizard and the youth's shattered cries. If he kept making a scene, he would naturally only be thrown out of Wizard City.

An hour later, Ryan had roughly familiarized himself with the market and judged the value of some of the items he possessed.

The two kinds of Wizard Potion were worth around fifteen Magic Stones per bottle.
