Fight Luffy, Vie for Nami

"Huh? You know me? Hello! I am the man who is going to become the King of the Pirates!"

Luffy remained as single-minded as ever, answering in his usual nonsensical fashion.

Zoro, having defeated Cabaji, dragged his injured body over. Both he and Nami, who had been on high alert, let out a sigh of relief; they had just assumed a new enemy had appeared.

But upon hearing Moya's response and seeing the attitude on his face, they subconsciously assumed that Moya knew Luffy and was not an enemy.

"Have you forgotten? Last time, when the Alvida Pirates attacked the cruise ship, I was the one who couldn't speak the language."

Moya narrowed his eyes slightly and said indifferently.

He then turned to Nami, deepening his voice and speaking in a chilling, cold tone.

"My little Nami, that 'kick to the family jewels' last time really scared me! That's no way to treat your future husband!"

With this jest, Moya struck first to gain the advantage, positioning Nami as his fiancée to pave the way for his upcoming struggle with Luffy over her.

"Baka~, I don't know you at all! You perverted lecher!" Nami's expression immediately crumbled, and she shouted in a frenzy.

"Nami is my navigator!"

Luffy shouted at this moment, but Moya ignored him.

"Nami, listen to me first. I promised many people that I would protect you well."

I only represent the vast number of Nami fans and lecherous friends on Earth, Moya thought to himself.

"You should know that those two cannot handle that Fishman; we shouldn't have dragged them into this. Give me some time, and I will defeat that Fishman. Believe in me!"

Moya said firmly, his handsome face turned toward Nami.

Nami's pupils constricted in shock; she was stunned that Moya actually knew about Arlong.

At this moment, Moya used Fast Slide to move to her side, whispering softly into her ear.

"Bell-mère's soul entrusted me with taking good care of you!"

Moya was full of lies, his words like a devil's whisper.

Yet, in Nami's mind, it felt as if she had experienced a magnitude ten earthquake.

'Bell-mère'—the most important name in her entire life.

Nami grabbed Moya's shoulders, tears streaming down her face as she questioned him frantically.

"How do you know about Bell-mère!! Why do you know about Bell-mère!! Where is she now!! I want to see her! I want to see her, I miss her so much."

As Nami cried, her legs gave out, and she slumped helplessly onto the ground.

Watching the heartbroken Nami, Moya, who had been in high spirits due to the success of his despicable plan, suddenly felt a heavy weight in his heart.

He realized he had overlooked just how important Bell-mère was to Nami.

Shaking his head to discard these thoughts, perhaps driven by a sliver of guilt, he crouched down and gently pulled Nami into his arms.

"Cry, little kitten. You've had it hard all these years; let all that grievance out! I promise you, I will definitely drive Arlong out of Cocoyasi Village!!"

Moya said loudly and resolutely. Upon hearing this, Nami cried even harder.

"What are you doing! You made my navigator cry, I'm going to send you flying!"

Luffy shouted in anger, swinging his arm as he prepared to charge at Moya.

Although Zoro was directionally challenged, he wasn't an idiot; he could tell the situation between Moya and Nami, so he immediately grabbed Luffy and gave him a hard knock on the head, leaving a massive bump.

"They're dealing with their own private matters! Why are you sticking your nose in!"

Luffy struggled in Zoro's grip; with his current intellect, he simply couldn't understand why Nami was crying.

Seeing that Nami had cried enough, Moya stroked her head and said gently.

"From now on, I will protect you. Leave your dream of being a navigator and the threat of Arlong to me!"

"But... I don't need you to worry about it! Arlong is too powerful, you can't beat him! I won't let anyone else take the risk. I will have enough Beli soon, and I will redeem Cocoyasi Village with my own hands!"

Nami pushed Moya away, wiping her tears.

"Don't be so naive, Nami. Arlong won't let you leave that easily. Furthermore, as far as I know, he has already colluded with Captain Nezumi of the Marines. Can you guess the final outcome now!"

Moya ruthlessly and sternly exposed the truth.

"Nami is not a piece of cargo, not something you can just take because you want it! I respect Nami's choice!"

"Nami, join my adventure group and become my navigator!"

Moya and Luffy extended their invitations to Nami at the same time.

"Moya, is an adventure group the same as a pirate crew?" Nami asked Moya.

"Of course not. Our adventure group focuses on exploration and treasure hunting, as well as eliminating wicked pirates and bullies! We do a bit of business on the side, too."

Moya explained, not forgetting to dangle a massive temptation in front of Nami.

"Besides, I've already discovered the location of the legendary Golden City treasure! I hear it's covered in gold."

Sure enough, Nami froze for a second, her gloomy mood instantly clearing up. Her eyes turned into the shape of Beli with a ding, and she immediately hugged Moya's arm.

"Ah~ Captain, from now on, you're my boss!"

One had to admit that the mindset of people in the pirate world was hard to fathom; they changed their tune far too quickly.

Seeing Nami like this, as if the meat in his hand had been snatched away, Luffy shouted indignantly at Moya.

"Moya, I challenge you to a duel!"

"But before we duel, let's deal with the Buggy Pirates first. I don't want my spoils of war to get away."
