Without hesitation, he activated his Devil Fruit ability.
Slip-Slip Fruit: Memory Slide.
Moya pulled Kuro's memories into his mind, searching through them for the method of mastering Silent Step.
This was the man that a certain Oda had described as having the intelligence second only to Beckman, the vice-captain of the Red Hair Pirates, among the characters in the early story.
How could his emotional intelligence be so low, and his ambitions so small? All he wanted was to live comfortably as a rich man. What a waste of a good mind.
After Moya found the method for mastering Silent Step, most of Kuro's memories were permanently lost and destroyed. Unlike Buggy, he wasn't lucky enough to get away with it. He suffered a complete mental breakdown, his memories became jumbled beyond repair, and he was reduced to a walking corpse.
Moya couldn't help exclaiming that it was such a waste. He'd just lost a fighter.
Never mind. He'd originally planned to have Kuro lose his memories and become the child he'd been in his earliest memories, then train him all over again. But there was no chance now, and at least it saved Moya the time and effort of retraining him.
Knowing that everyone feared and hated Kuro, Moya ordered his men to cut off Kuro's head and claim the bounty, then put him out of his misery, making him truly dead.
Without wasting any words, Moya subdued the Cat Brothers with a direct show of force and made them his squad leaders.
As for Jango, Moya was a little interested in his hypnotism. Somehow, the man had gained the ability after eating the mushroom that had grown on his own chin.
The world of pirates was full of strange things. For a while, Moya even wondered whether the mushroom was a failed Devil Fruit that hadn't transformed properly!
Looking at Jango's appearance, which was remarkably similar to Michael Jackson's, Moya realized that Jango was also a talented dancer.
It seemed Oda had drawn him to look like Michael Jackson. In a cover story, he'd even won a dance contest.
Moya used threats and inducements to make Jango the dancer of the Moya Adventure Group. There was no clichéd scene where Jango would rather die than submit.
Having taken care of all that, Moya felt that Devil Fruit abilities really were useful. He'd picked up the scraps after Luffy and easily obtained the method for mastering Silent Step, along with several subordinates.
But Moya also realized that if he kept following behind Luffy like this, how could he and his crew grow stronger through battle? It seemed he needed to chart his own course!
Or perhaps he could follow Luffy's route and leave him nowhere to go, forcing him to change course.
After sending the newly recruited Black Cat Pirates back to the ship, the Moya Adventure Group began celebrating with Kaya and Luffy's group.
When Buggy saw Luffy's straw hat, he seemed to be reminded of someone. He ground his teeth and spent the entire feast competing with Luffy for meat.
At the banquet, Luffy said he needed a ship. Grateful to Luffy for saving her life, Kaya gave him the Going Merry.
Usopp also decided to go to sea as a member of Luffy's crew because Luffy knew Yasopp. He was determined to become a brave warrior of the sea.
The banquet ended amid laughter and cheer.
That night, a shadow quietly slipped into Kaya's room.
That's right, it was Moya, the "good man" of the twenty-first century. When it came to beautiful women studying medicine, he was determined to "kill the wrong one rather than let one get away" if she had talent. With that noble resolve, Moya reached out his "pig's hoof"—also known as his wandering hand—toward Kaya.
Moya gave Kaya a little "well-intentioned" brainwashing about studying medicine, not forgetting to steal a few kisses and touches, and persuaded her to become a great doctor who could treat him and many more patients.
The Slip-Slip Fruit's beautifying effect came with a hint of charm, adding one point to her affection for him.
Moya even claimed he knew the Pirate King's ship doctor, Crocus, the genius surgeon Hogback, and the 140-year-old doctor Kureha, among others.
He sweet-talked Kaya until she was putty in his hands. For the sake of talent, for the sake of persuading a beautiful doctor, it wasn't much for Moya to tell a few little lies and sacrifice a bit of his good looks.
Right?
Moya himself thought it was absolutely fine!
Rayleigh had been tricked into going to sea by Roger, after all.
I can vouch for that. I was right there watching at the time.
Kaya seemed to have become very interested in Moya and grown quite fond of him, though it was hard to say whether the Devil Fruit was responsible.
In the end, the gentle yet strong-willed young woman was persuaded. Moya nodded in satisfaction, then quietly slipped back out.
After returning to his room, Moya regretted it a little. He should have stolen a few more kisses and touches. Just thinking about it made him feel hot and bothered, barely able to control himself.
He snuck into Nami's room and climbed into her bed. Nami was startled and was about to scream when Moya covered her mouth.
"Don't scream. It's me!"
Nami blushed and stammered, "Moya, you... what are you trying to do?"
"Nami, actually, I'm a little afraid of the dark! I want to hold you while we sleep," Moya said, breathing a little heavily.
"Idiot! Who would believe that? If you want to hold me while we sleep, it'll cost you a hundred million Beli. Otherwise, get out."
Nami seemed utterly clueless about the relationship between men and women. She foolishly thought that holding him while they slept would earn her a hundred million Beli, and she also thought there was no way Moya had that much money.
When Moya heard that, he mistakenly thought he had a chance tonight.
"Then can I write you an IOU? You can manage all the treasure on the ship from now on, and there'll be plenty of huge treasures in the future, too!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Moya put an arm around Nami's slender waist and began to caress her slowly.
Nami's voice trembled with anger. "I already manage the treasure on the ship! If all you want is to hold me while we sleep, why are you touching me? Stop touching me, or I'll get angry."
If Moya's strength and senses hadn't improved so much lately, he probably wouldn't have noticed how nervous Nami sounded.
It seemed Nami wasn't as clueless as she looked.
Moya was about to turn into a wolf. With Nami only half-heartedly resisting, he prepared to taste the delicate flower she was.
"I'll just hold you. Nothing will happen."
"I'll just touch you. I definitely won't take your clothes off."
"I really won't do anything, I swear. Trust me."
Nami let out a faint whimper and gradually gave in.
With desire clouding his mind and his eyes red, Moya had lost control.
And so, a young woman underwent a transformation in her life.
The next day, the sun rose brightly. Nami slowly woke up and saw that Moya wasn't beside her. She felt a little disappointed, but when she remembered the night before, she couldn't help blushing.
Just then, Moya came in carrying a bowl of steaming meat porridge. Nami saw it, her eyes reddened, and tears welled up. It had been so long since anyone had cared for her like this.
"Kitten, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Last night was my fault."
Moya set down the porridge and embraced Nami, speaking apologetically as he comforted her.
"Kitten, I'll take responsibility for you. Your enemies will be my enemies from now on. I'll help you get rid of Arlong!"
"You liar, you big liar!" Nami felt Moya's resolve and pounded his chest, both angry and moved.
"I believe you, Moya. I can only believe in you. I'll do my best to learn to love you!"
"You must be hungry. Get up, wash up, and have some porridge! I made it especially for you," Moya said, stroking Nami's head.
"Mm." Nami nodded softly.
She tried to get up, but her body hurt, and she sat back down.
Seeing that, Moya couldn't possibly fail to understand what was going on! But he didn't know any healing techniques!
Wait, healing?
The first thing Moya thought of was the Paw-Paw Fruit's ability to heal internal injuries and remove harmful conditions, including fatigue and pain.
Why could the Paw-Paw Fruit develop an ability like that? Did Kuma simply have an especially wild imagination?
Or had he developed it in response to a need?
If Kuma had joined the Revolutionary Army and gone through countless battles where his comrades were injured, that would explain how he'd developed his power in the direction of healing. It proved the development principle of Paramecia Devil Fruits: the wilder the imagination, the more incredible the ability!
Ordinary Zoan types generally had only three forms: human, half-beast, and beast, followed by Awakening.
Chopper was an exception. He could transform into seven forms with a Rumble Ball, while Mythical Zoans had an additional innate ability, such as the Flames of Resurrection of the Phoenix.
Logia development was comparatively straightforward. The user could only make the fruit's attacks more powerful and expand their range, eventually reaching Awakening. There weren't many strange abilities.
For example, developing ice meant lowering its temperature, while developing flames meant raising theirs.
Paramecia abilities, on the other hand, came in all kinds. The main categories included superhuman bodies, like Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Mi and Bellamy's Bane Bane no Mi.
Superpowers, like Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit and Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit.
Creation, like Doflamingo's Ito Ito no Mi and Katakuri's Mochi Mochi no Mi.
Moya's Slip-Slip Fruit was a Paramecia with a superpower ability. If the final Awakening of a superhuman-body Devil Fruit meant becoming stronger oneself, which belonged to the physical realm;
And the final Awakening of a creation-type Devil Fruit meant influencing and assimilating the environment, which also belonged to the physical realm;
Then superpowers could be developed in strange, varied directions, affecting souls, space, time, perception, rules, and laws. Their potential for growth was limitless, and they could deal both physical and magical damage!
As a modern person with a wildly imaginative mind, Moya knew the Slip-Slip Fruit had tremendous potential for growth.
Since it could already alter memories on the level of the soul,
Then as its development continued, it should be able to affect souls, space, time, perception, rules, and laws in ways that might prove useful to him!
Just like the Paw-Paw Fruit, a perfect example of a superpower Devil Fruit. Who would have guessed from its name that it could be developed to allow its user to teleport, heal, or compress air into a cannon blast?
So Moya would have to learn from Kuma and develop healing, spatial teleportation, and other abilities of his own for the Slip-Slip Fruit.
Looking at Nami as she endured the pain, Moya became even more determined to develop the healing side of his Devil Fruit ability. It wasn't just for battle; it was also so he could treat the people who mattered to him.
He decided to give it a try. With a "patient" right in front of him, Moya said gently to Nami, "I'll try to lessen your pain. Tell me if you feel anything."
"Mm." Nami nodded softly.
Moya moved his hand close to Nami's wound. Her face turned bright red again. He activated his Devil Fruit ability, and a strange energy entered her body.
Nami let out a soft, breathy moan.
"What's wrong? What do you feel?" Moya asked.
"It's a little itchy," Nami whispered, blushing in embarrassment. But her flushed, bashful expression made her impossible to resist.
Seeing Nami's expression, Moya knew this healing ability wouldn't be something he could develop in a short time.
After feeding Nami the porridge and letting her rest, Moya went out to arrange their departure.
