As soon as Moya and his group boarded the ship, they saw the Marine Lieutenant "Iron Fist" Fullbody being brutally beaten by the blond chef, Sanji.
Gin was sprawled on the ground, starving, and Luffy was there too, actually working as a waiter—the inertia of this plot was truly powerful.
Zoro and Usopp were a bit surprised to see Moya and his group; encountering someone on the open sea was a matter of luck! They walked over to greet Moya.
"Moya, what a coincidence! To run into you here of all places!"
"Zoro, since you say it's fate, have you considered joining my ship?" Moya didn't forget to try and recruit him.
Zoro's face darkened, and he refused to answer Moya's question.
Just then, Luffy came over and shouted.
"It's you again, you jerk Moya! You stole my navigator Nami, and now you want to steal my swordsman! I'm going to duel you. I've developed some even more powerful moves recently—let me show you how strong I am!"
"Heh heh~ Nami isn't your navigator! I have always respected Nami's choices!"
Moya retorted with a serious expression.
Luffy pulled his hat down, his eyes hidden in shadow. Suddenly, he looked up, grinned wide, and laughed.
"Doesn't matter! I've found my own navigator. Let me introduce you: these are Yosaku and Johnny, currently our navigator and combatant."
"We haven't officially joined you yet!" Yosaku and Johnny immediately shouted back.
"But we saved you! I said it, you're my crew now," Luffy said, scratching his head with his usual single-mindedness.
Yosaku and Johnny slumped. They had been starving at sea for days, nearly dying from a lack of nutrition, and it was thanks to Luffy and Usopp's care that they survived.
That was why they had agreed to repay Luffy and his friends.
They never expected the stubborn Luffy to label them as his navigators. No matter how they tried to explain it to this blockhead, it was useless, and they couldn't beat him in a fight, so they had no choice but to stay. Besides, they did want to be on the same ship as their big brother Zoro.
"Who gave you permission to chat? Get back to work!"
At that moment, a wooden leg slammed hard onto Luffy's head. An old man wearing a very tall chef's hat, using a wooden peg leg, roared at him!
"Zeff?" Moya whispered.
"Kid, you know me?" Zeff asked.
"Senior 'Red-Leg' Zeff, I have long heard of your great name. I wonder if you could pass on your leg techniques to me?"
Moya asked directly, his eyes filled with anticipation.
"'Red-Leg' is no more, and I don't know any leg techniques, so I have nothing to teach you! Now, what would you like to order?" Zeff replied.
Moya wasn't disappointed; his main purpose for coming to the Baratie was Hawkeye.
If he could learn the leg techniques, it would be his fortune; if not, it was simply not meant to be.
"Then bring us some of your signature dishes. We have over a hundred people!" Moya said.
"That many?" Zeff looked at Moya with a knowing expression.
Moya pulled out a stack of Beli and said, "Here is one million Beli as a deposit. Is that enough?"
The money was immediately snatched up by the thug-like chef Carne, who looked delighted.
"Honored guest, it is a pleasure to serve you!"
The Baratie's Fish Sub was quite large, and it could accommodate a dozen tables, so everyone sat down.
"Hey, blond chef, bring a few drinks to the ladies at my table."
Moya called out to the curly-browed Sanji.
When Sanji saw beauties like Nami and Kaya, he immediately abandoned his beating of the Marine Lieutenant Fullbody and stared at them with a lecherous look.
"It would be my pleasure to serve such beautiful ladies!"
This made Moya very unhappy. He decided he absolutely could not have this pervert as his chef, even if his sister was a great beauty like Reiju!
Nami and the others also looked at the perverted chef with disgust.
Moya accidentally glanced toward Fullbody's side and spotted a beautiful woman—it seemed to be the girl Fullbody was pursuing, apparently named Maddie.
His "2D Beauty Collection" and "Game Card-Collecting Syndrome" traits suddenly flared up.
He pretended to walk toward the fallen Fullbody, took a look, and then turned to extend an invitation to Maddie.
"Beautiful lady, would you like to have a drink with us? It's not safe over here, and we have a few other ladies at our table."
Maddie was just about to answer when her eyes met Moya's. The passive ability of the Slippery Fruit activated, adding +1 to his charm.
A perfect man appeared before Maddie's eyes: strong, handsome, gentle, and full of charisma.
Maddie's face flushed red: "Then I shall thank you for the invitation, Captain!"
As Moya and Maddie's gazes locked, it was as if starlight swirled in their eyes, though no one else noticed.
Nami watched Moya with jealousy, angry that he was flirting with another woman again.
Moya led Maddie to the table and introduced her: "This is Nami, Kaya, and our lovely Rika."
"Hello, big sister!" Rika responded politely.
Kaya also greeted Maddie kindly, while Nami haughtily held her head high.
"This is Maddie. I saw that it wasn't safe over there, so I invited her over here to have a drink," Moya explained.
Maddie greeted everyone and sat down with Moya.
"I'm most afraid of people having ulterior motives! This sister here should really watch out for perverts!" Nami said fiercely.
"I believe Captain Moya is not that kind of person, Miss Nami, please rest assured!" Maddie replied with an air of nobility.
Seeing this elegant noblewoman, Nami suddenly felt a pang of bitterness in her heart. She thought to herself that she was just a thief from a hometown enslaved by others; how could she ever compare to her?
Looking at Moya and Maddie, Nami's mood immediately turned gloomy, and she fell silent.
Seeing that something was wrong, how could Moya not know what was happening?
He quickly unleashed his protagonist skill: the 'head-pat kill.'
"Little silly cat, what are you overthinking again? You are the first person I have ever loved in this world, and I will always cherish you. Even the Four Emperors or the Three Admirals couldn't stop me from loving you! I mean it."
Moya gently hugged Nami and whispered softly.
Hearing such a direct and overbearing confession in front of everyone, Nami felt both embarrassed and moved, but she couldn't help but hug Moya back tightly, enjoying his affection.
Moya himself got goosebumps from his own cheesy pickup line; it was truly cringeworthy.
Watching this scene, Kaya and Maddie were both filled with envy, wishing they too could have the chance to be in Captain Moya's arms and enjoy his warmth.
Just then, a little girl's voice rang out as Rika acted spoiled: "Big Brother Moya, I want a hug too."
"Alright, alright, let's hug the cute Rika!"
Warm times pass quickly, and the peaceful scene was soon shattered.
A group of sickly pirates boarded the Baratie. The leader said, "Please give us water and food. We have been hunted by a demon on the sea for several days!"
Having eaten his fill, Gin shouted, "Captain, you've finally escaped back!"
He then turned to Sanji and pleaded, "Please, save my captain."
The ruffian chef Carne immediately retorted, "These are pirates! If we save them, our ship might be hijacked by them!!"
Sanji smoked his cigarette, "Giving food to those in need—that is what a true chef does."
"Well said! I've decided, from now on you will be the chef of my Straw Hat Pirates," Luffy said, desperately trying to make his presence felt, but no one paid him any mind.
Sanji went back to cook, leaving behind a cursing Carne. Moya watched this scene with a meaningful look. Should he intervene early and subdue the Krieg Pirates?
But upon reflection, he decided against it. If he were accidentally misunderstood by Hawkeye, it would be a huge problem, even if the Krieg Pirates were just a way for Hawkeye to pass the time.
As expected, events unfolded just as they did in the original story. Once fed, Krieg immediately launched an attack on the Baratie.
"Hahaha! I'm going to seize your ship and regroup! The Grand Line is too terrifying. That demon destroyed several pirate ships with a single slash—he's a true monster!"
Krieg screamed wildly, seemingly having lost his mind.
"My grand fleet of five thousand men and fifty ships is gone, hahaha~"
Zoro pricked up his ears. A single slash destroyed several ships? That was at least a master swordsman, perhaps even a Great Swordsman!
Could it really be, as Moya said, that the world's greatest swordsman, Hawkeye, had arrived? Challenging this man was the very reason he had set out to sea!
Zoro immediately stood up and ran outside the ship to investigate.
The combat chefs of the Baratie were no match for Krieg and his men, and Sanji had also been knocked down by Gin. At this moment, Luffy spoke to Zeff.
"If I help you defeat them, will you exempt me from being a waiter? How about it?"
"If you can defeat them, I agree!"
Zeff pondered for a moment. He didn't intervene, but instead watched Krieg and his men and gave Luffy his word.
Just then, Krieg's underlings screamed in terror: "Captain, that demon is here! Let's run!"
Krieg was also filled with panic. "Seize the ship! Escape quickly!"
Both sides scrambled for control of the Baratie, and the scene descended into total chaos.
