Dialogue with Jinbe, The Final Outcome

Nami handed the Arlong Pirates over to Moya to deal with, having no intention of interfering further.

Genzo had originally wanted to turn all the fishmen over to the nearby Navy.

However, Moya already had his own plans. Furthermore, he rejected Genzo's suggestion on the grounds that some in the Navy were in league with Arlong, stating that he would handle the matter himself.

During the banquet in Cocoyasi Village, Moya had already finished processing Arlong's memories a second time to see what he could harvest.

Moya had originally intended to personally escort Arlong—who had lost most of his memories and been beaten into an idiot—along with all the other fishmen to Loguetown to collect the bounties and convey his goodwill to the Navy.

However, discovering Jinbe's Den Den Mushi number within Arlong's memories changed his mind.

He had also found over a dozen Den Den Mushi in Arlong Park; they were truly a pirate crew that had returned from the Grand Line.

It was the first time Moya had seen such cute little creatures, and he took a liking to them immediately.

He realized he had forgotten to ask Buggy and the other pirates about Den Den Mushi earlier.

Without hesitation, he picked the best-looking one to be his own and distributed the rest to Nami, her companions, and his officers.

"Purupuru~"

"Puru~"

Moya's Den Den Mushi began to morph, taking on the appearance of the whale shark fishman with eyebrows like auspicious clouds and arabesque patterns—it was extremely distinctive.

"Moshi moshi~ Who is this?"

Jinbe looked at the unfamiliar, handsome young man his Den Den Mushi had transformed into, feeling a bit puzzled.

As a Shichibukai, his Den Den Mushi number was not something just anyone could know; aside from acquaintances, only the Navy and the World Government possessed it.

"I am Moya, captain of the Moya Adventure Group. I have just crushed the Arlong Pirates and liberated the dozens of villages he enslaved. I heard from them that you are his umbrella? Was all of this directed by you?"

Moya started off by throwing a heavy accusation at Jinbe. He knew that Jinbe was one of the few fishmen who truly upheld Otohime's ideals, a man of great justice known as the 'Knight of the Sea'.

"What do you mean? I haven't been in contact with Arlong and his crew for a long time. I know nothing of their affairs. If they have harmed humans, please allow me to apologize to you on their behalf."

Jinbe's apology came through the Den Den Mushi.

"They have murdered many innocent civilians, enslaved countless villages for over a decade, committed monstrous crimes, and even colluded with the local Navy to exploit the villagers. Their crimes are unforgivable."

"I only want to ask you this: as a Shichibukai, have you provided him with protection or condoned their violence? The Arlong and the many fishmen I defeated are about to be retaliated against by the villagers and beaten to death. If that happens, I can only take their heads to the Navy to collect the bounties."

Moya's expression, a mix of anger and indignation, was vividly mimicked by the Den Den Mushi.

"Please, you must stop the villagers immediately! The other fishmen are innocent; they were merely misled by Arlong's words and actions. I apologize to you once again."

The Den Den Mushi's expression fully conveyed Jinbe's anxiety.

"Spare me the useless talk. I know you are the Shichibukai 'Knight of the Sea' Jinbe, a man of great justice."

"To save these dozens of villages, I fought Arlong and sacrificed over a hundred of my crew members."

"This has made me realize my own weakness. Therefore, I hope to obtain methods to make us stronger: Fishman Karate, Fishman Jujutsu, Haki, and other high-level training techniques."

"You seem to be asking for quite a lot, Your Excellency. These are the secret, non-disseminated arts of our Fish-Man Island."

Beneath Jinbe's calm tone, a suppressed anger seemed to simmer.

"Enough, Mr. Jinbe. I don't want to haggle with you. I am giving you a choice, and I want your answer now."

"One: I ignore the lives of Arlong and these fishmen, let the angry villagers beat them to death, and then I take their heads to collect the bounty."

"Two: I protect these fishmen and escort them alive to the Navy to collect the bounty—which saves their lives—but this requires you to provide a certain reward."

"Three: I only capture Arlong and his officers for the bounty and release all the other fishmen. Of course, this also requires you to pay a greater price."

"Four: I only capture Arlong, but I release all the other officers to you. However, have you prepared what I need?"

"I will have my own territory in the future, and I welcome you to visit. I will treat every resident in my territory with absolute fairness and justice. Humans who are as friendly to all races as I am are a rare sight."

On the other end of the line, Jinbe fell silent.

Someone who possessed Conqueror's Haki was no simple character; befriending him might not be a bad thing.

"These training methods can be given to you, but can you release Arlong as well?"

"Impossible! Arlong killed the mother of my woman with his own hands. Throwing him into prison is my absolute bottom line. Not killing him myself is already me showing great mercy."

"Very well. I hope you keep your promise."

Moya would not let Arlong go, even though the latter had lost his memories; the Navy would only receive an Arlong who had been beaten into a state of dementia.

Moya and Jinbe eventually reached an agreement: once the other Fishmen boarded the ship, they would report the situation to Jinbe via Den Den Mushi.

Once they were safe, Jinbe dictated cultivation methods for Moya to record, and finally, the Fishmen were allowed to leave unharmed.

The heavy accusation of colluding with the Revolutionary Army and Moya's aptitude for Conqueror's Haki made Jinbe afraid to attempt any petty tricks for the time being.

Jinbe had originally intended to come in person to collect the Fishmen and hand over the cultivation manuals, but Moya did not want to meet with him just yet; perhaps the disparity in combat power made Moya feel apprehensive.

"Hatchan, I know you have a kind heart. I won't make things difficult for you this time, but I must deal with Arlong. This is the deal I made with your boss, Jinbe."

"I know you are acquainted with Rayleigh. Let's be friends. When I reach Sabaody Archipelago, I hope you can put in a good word for me. I intend to pay him a visit. Sorry for the trouble."

Having been severely reprimanded by Jinbe, Hatchan, Kuroobi, and the others remained obedient, not daring to offer any resistance.

Seeming relieved, Hatchan eventually gave a kind response and agreed to help relay the message.

Hatchan left the Cocoyasi Village archipelago with the Fishmen, carrying Moya's message back to Fishman Island to report the atrocities committed over these years to Jinbe.

Just when Moya thought there were no loose ends, that idiot sea beast Momoo burst out of the water and let out a loud roar, startling the women.

Under the weight of Moya's Iron Fist, powered by his intermittent Haki, Momoo cried as it dove back into the sea to escape; Moya could not enter the water, so he was unable to pursue it.

Eventually, with the calling and assistance of Hatchan and the Fishmen, Moya, seeing a prize he coveted, subdued the sea beast, turning it into the creature that would pull his ship.

Seeing this, Moya wanted to keep a few Fishmen behind; having Fishmen would greatly increase safety at sea, especially since there were already several Devil Fruit users on his ship.

Moya also had his eye on Kuroobi's Fishman Karate, Fishman Jujutsu, and Tile Fist, thinking he could serve as an instructor—not only for Moya himself but for his subordinates as well.

However, neither Kuroobi nor any of the other Fishmen had any intention of staying, and their eyes even held a hint of hatred.

Moya did not want to make Nami uncomfortable, so he abandoned the idea.

As for the kind-hearted Hatchan, simply because he had a connection to the Dark King Rayleigh, Moya did not make things difficult for him. Moya was eager to establish a connection with Rayleigh and craved the advanced training methods for the three types of Haki!

Moya also entrusted Hatchan with the task of expressing his desire to visit the Merfolk Royal Family, Neptune and Shirahoshi.

As for revealing the connection between Otohime's death and Hody Jones, Moya decided he did not want to interfere too much with the plot for now, and this event would be the perfect opportunity for him to gain the trust of Fishman Island.

It had to be revealed by his own hand.
