  • Houka and Rocks organized a quiet rescue of the Great Hammer Warband at Punk Hazard as Harald, Jarul, Dorry, and Brogy joined the mission.
  • Imu turned Kukulkan, Kong, Sengoku, and Garp into contract holders, giving Garp and Kong Mythical Zoan powers and ordering them to attack the Rocks Pirates.
  • Houka and the Giants found the Great Hammer Warband preserved in an underground freezer, and Rocks discovered Eisen D. Oars JS was still alive beneath the ice.

  • Houka and Rocks sparred, and Houka transformed into Sun God Nika before launching an island-sized attack that devastated the research island and left him drained.
  • Houka, Rocks, Harald, and Newgate found that Conqueror’s Haki Infusion could break the ice sealing the giants and began freeing the Great Hammer Warband.
  • Houka accepted the Kirin Fruit as a supposed defection payment, let rumors of his negotiations spread, and feigned loyalty to Imu while offering to find a Road Poneglyph for more Devil Fruits.
Chapters 251–275 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 251News Breakout Strikes Again

Houka and the Rocks Pirates returned from Red Earth Island as Harald rejected the World Government and Hajrudin sought help awakening Conqueror's Haki. A new wave of newspaper revelations exposed Imu's secrets, leaving the Four Elders furious and unsure how to report the news to him.

  • Rocks Pirates officers watched Houka pursue another red-haired woman while Newgate reunited with Gu Yue Shenwei and Ancient Moon Ryuma, and Silver Axe Xiong argued with Golden Lion Shiki.
  • Rocks teased Harald about his bounty, and Harald condemned the World Government for denying the Human Purge Competition and protecting the Celestial Dragons.
  • Hajrudin asked Houka how to awaken Conqueror's Haki, but Houka said he did not know and privately considered whether danger to Ida might provoke an awakening.
  • A newspaper unaffiliated with the World Government published claims about Imu's immortality, powers, and control over those who accepted his contract, along with reports about the Red Earth Island battle.
  • The reports reignited worldwide outrage and alarm, while the Four Elders wondered how to tell Imu that the Rocks Pirates had exposed his secrets.

Ch. 252Sengoku's Faith Begins to Crumble

A newspaper revealing Imu’s hidden rule over the World Government shook Marine leaders and made Sengoku question whether he could advance the Marines’ ideals while serving the Celestial Dragons. The chapter left Sengoku unsettled as Tsuru urged him and Garp not to let the Rocks Pirates divide the Marines from the World Government.

  • Marine officers and Admirals read a free newspaper claiming Imu was the immortal King of the World who controlled the Five Elders and Holy Knights through contracts.
  • Kong considered the power and status Imu might grant his contract holders, and suspected past Marine leaders had pledged themselves to the Celestial Dragons.
  • Sengoku recalled that Marine promotions required passing the Celestial Dragons’ test and realized advancement might leave him controlled by Imu.
  • Garp noticed Sengoku’s convictions faltering and urged him to stay calm, while Sengoku wondered whether contracted Admirals could still serve justice.
  • Tsuru warned Sengoku and Garp that the newspaper could be part of the Rocks Pirates’ scheme to disrupt the Marines’ expansion and split them from the World Government.

Ch. 253Imu's Screening

After the newspaper exposed information about Imu, Imu ordered the Four Elders to prepare a list of powerful figures to recruit as servants and weapons against the Rocks Pirates. Imu selected several Marines, including Sengoku and Garp, and awaited their response to the World Government's recruitment order.

  • Imu suspected Kozuki Houka and Joy Boy of being behind the leaked information, then ordered Marine Headquarters to target the Rocks Pirates and wear down their officers.
  • Imu considered recruiting powerful people from outside the Celestial Dragons to fill vacancies among the Five Elders and Holy Knights, with contracts allowing Imu to reclaim their power.
  • Imu reviewed a list of powerful figures and considered Fleet Admiral Kukulkan, Marine Admiral Kong, and Marine Vice Admiral Sengoku as potential recruits.
  • Imu noticed Garp's D Clan heritage and Conqueror's Haki, and decided to use him to fight Rocks rather than erase him immediately.
  • Imu favored Kukulkan, Kong, Sengoku, and Garp as obedient candidates and planned to mark or turn other powerful figures into demon puppets to attack the Rocks Pirates.

Ch. 254Target: Great Hammer Warband?

Redfield established the Red Kingdom on Red Earth Island, while Houka welcomed rescued slaves into the Sacred Ancient Moon Empire and planned to form a Mink Tribe combat division. The Rocks Pirates and Elbaf’s giants prepared to rescue the Great Hammer Warband from a research island Houka identified as future Punk Hazard, but the nearby Marines and World Government made a stealthy, fast operation essential.

  • Redfield founded the Red Kingdom on Red Earth Island, and the rescued rare-race slaves chose to join Houka’s Sacred Ancient Moon Empire or return to their homelands.
  • Houka preserved the Lunarians’ bloodline genes, won the Mink Tribe’s reverence by creating a full moon for their Sulong forms, and planned to build a Mink Tribe combat division.
  • Rocks tried to persuade Harald to eat Elbaf’s inherited Devil Fruit and asked Houka to locate the Dark-Dark Fruit, then began searching for the Great Hammer Warband.
  • Houka identified the Great Hammer Warband’s likely location as a World Government research island near Dressrosa and G-1 Base, later known as Punk Hazard.
  • Elder Jarul, Loki, and the Rocks Pirates prepared to join the rescue, while Malone and Houka warned that Marine and World Government reinforcements could make the mission dangerous.
  • Houka urged the Rocks Pirates to infiltrate Punk Hazard quietly, rescue the giants quickly, and avoid a direct fight with the World Government and Marines.

Ch. 255The Heir's Devil Fruit Ability

The Rocks Pirates planned to rescue the frozen Great Hammer Warband and regroup after their victory, while Houka gave Stussy the Yamata no Orochi Fruit for their son, Gu Yue Shenwei. The chapter ended with Ancient Moon Ryuma learning to walk as well, while Shimotsuki Furiko chose to leave him without a Devil Fruit unless a suitable one appeared.

  • Rocks insisted the Great Hammer Warband might still be revived, and Houka planned to confirm the location of Punk Hazard before attempting a rescue.
  • Houka ordered Jarul and Harald to summon Dorry and Brogy back to Elbaf, while Kashii and Oimo received orders to bring the two giants home from Little Garden.
  • The Rocks Pirates returned to their territories to consolidate their gains and train, while Rocks ordered his crew to search for Devil Fruits, especially the Dark-Dark Fruit.
  • Houka arranged homes for rare-race slaves in the Sacred Ancient Moon Empire, hoping they would draw their hidden kin there.
  • Stussy asked Houka to give the Yamata no Orochi Fruit to their son, Gu Yue Shenwei, and Houka agreed.
  • Ancient Moon Ryuma learned to walk a few days later, and Shimotsuki Furiko decided she would rather raise him as a pure swordsman than give him an unsuitable Devil Fruit.

Ch. 256Three Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits

Houka received three Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits from his allied kingdoms and assigned two of them to Shimotsuki Furiko and Ancient Moon Ryuma. Meanwhile, the search for sorcery fruits spread through Wano, where Kozuki Oden and others found fruits as they pursued rewards and the chance to go to sea.

  • Fugetsu Kizaburo, Shimotsuki Kozaburo, and the Ugetsu family delivered the Nue, Okuchi no Makami, and Gyuki Fruits to Houka.
  • Houka rewarded the three kingdoms, gave the Okuchi no Makami Fruit to Shimotsuki Furiko, and chose the Nue Fruit for Ancient Moon Ryuma.
  • Houka considered offering the Gyuki Fruit to Charlotte Linlin or saving it for their future child, Kaido, while Loki grew interested in Elbaf's inherited Devil Fruit.
  • Shimotsuki Arashi's reward offer sparked a sorcery-fruit search across Wano, and Kozuki Oden found a scroll-like fruit while hoping to earn permission to leave the country.
  • A ninja found the Ripe-Ripe Fruit, and a blond-haired thug in Kuri found another sorcery fruit as he sought a chance to become a daimyo.

Ch. 257Fleet Admiral's Deep Sea Mark

After the news about Imu and the Red Earth Island incident spread, Fleet Admiral Kukulkan went to Mary Geoise and discovered that Imu was real. Imu branded him with a Deep Sea Mark, transformed his will, and ordered him to pacify the Marines and summon Kong, Sengoku, and Garp.

  • As Navy officers and powerful figures reacted to the exposé, Kukulkan received an order to report to Mary Geoise and warned Kong that Imu might take control of him.
  • In the Room of Authority, Kukulkan noticed that only four Elders were present and learned that Saint Saturn was supposedly in the Void Throne Hall.
  • Kukulkan entered the Void Throne Hall, saw Imu on the Void Throne, and transformed into his Feathered Serpent form to flee.
  • Imu pierced Kukulkan with black arrows, branded him with a Shallow Sea Mark, and upgraded it to a Deep Sea Mark that changed his will.
  • Kukulkan pledged to lead the Marines against the Rocks Pirates, and Imu ordered him to pacify the Marines and send Kong, Sengoku, and Garp to meet him.
  • Imu ordered the Four Elders to retrieve two Mythical Zoan Fruits from his treasure vault to strengthen Kong and Garp.

Ch. 258The Fallen Kong

Kong wrestled with whether to resist Kukulkan’s order or accept the World Government’s promised power, then chose to take Sengoku and Garp to Mary Geoise. As they sailed, Sengoku sensed danger, unaware that he and Garp were also targets.

  • Kukulkan ordered Kong to bring Sengoku and Garp to the Holy Land, promising Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits and immortal bodies.
  • Kong considered fleeing with Sengoku and Garp but decided to gamble on keeping his identity while rising within the World Government.
  • The next morning, Kong left Segan and Hand to guard G-1 and took Sengoku and Garp to Mary Geoise, while Tsuru watched with concern.
  • Sengoku warned Kong that the voyage felt dangerous, but Kong dismissed the warning and concealed that Sengoku and Garp were also targets.
  • Garp complained about going to Mary Geoise and seeing the Celestial Dragons, unaware that danger was approaching.

Ch. 259Tsuru's Worry

Vice Admiral Tsuru worried that Kong and his companions might be controlled by Imu, while Houka saw Kong’s departure as a chance to raid Punk Hazard. Houka prepared to seize the frozen Great Hammer Warband and considered recruiting Vegapunk and Kaido next.

  • Vice Admiral Tsuru feared Kong might seek a contract with Imu and vowed to save him, Sengoku, Garp, and the others if they were controlled.
  • Admiral Hand tried to reassure Tsuru, though he also worried Imu could use the Marines as cannon fodder against the Rocks Pirates.
  • Golden Lion Shiki teased Whitebeard Newgate for giving away his fortune, while Newgate celebrated the prosperity of the Sphinx Kingdom.
  • Redfield’s Haki and strength surged after Red Earth Island was settled, and Roger also advanced rapidly in Haki training.
  • After learning Kong had left G-1 Base for Mary Geoise, Houka planned a surprise raid on Punk Hazard to retrieve the frozen Great Hammer Warband.
  • Houka considered going to Baldimore for fifteen-year-old Vegapunk and recruiting the young soldier Kaido if circumstances allowed.

Ch. 260Giant Warrior Pirates Rebuilt

Dorry and Brogy rebuilt the Giant Warrior Pirates while Harald organized an expedition to recover the Great Hammer Warband. As Harald and the giants sailed to meet the Rocks Pirates, Dorry and Brogy challenged each other to raise their bounties.

  • Dorry and Brogy announced the Giant Warrior Pirates' revival, and Hajrudin formed the New Giant Warrior Pirates with Gerd, Road, Stansen, and Goldberg.
  • Jarul ordered Dorry and Brogy to follow Houka's command and bring back the Great Hammer Warband, while Harald learned that John Giant and other righteous Giants would remain in the Navy.
  • Jarul accepted the Navy Giants' choice, and he agreed to join Harald's expedition to find the Great Hammer Warband.
  • Harald sailed from Elbaf with the Giant Warrior Pirates and twenty of his guards, leaving Ida, Hajrudin, and the rest of his family behind.
  • Brogy and Dorry compared their 100 million Beli bounties with Harald's and the Rocks Pirates' higher bounties, then challenged each other to see whose bounty would rise more.

Ch. 261A Bitter Sengoku

Harald compared his strength with Dorry and Brogy's, while Houka's forces prepared for the Punk Hazard operation and trained on Elysium Island. Kong brought Sengoku and Garp to Mary Geoise, where Sengoku sensed that Kukulkan had changed and that the Marines had been set up.

  • Harald told Dorry and Brogy that they had made little progress in fifty years, and they protested that he had the ancient giant bloodline.
  • Houka trained his allies on Elysium Island while leaving the Roger Pirates to adventure freely in the New World.
  • Shiki saw Furiko transform into a gigantic ice wolf and learned that Houka's children Kamui and Ryuma had also become Mythical Zoan users.
  • Silver Axe Xiong struggled to damage Loki, while Babel and Xiong asked Houka to upgrade their weapons.
  • Elbaf's warship arrived at Elysium Island as the Rocks Pirates prepared to rescue the Great Hammer Warband.
  • Kong brought Sengoku and Garp to Mary Geoise, where Sengoku sensed Kukulkan's transformation and feared they had been targeted.

Ch. 262You want to be a dog, don't drag us with you!

Kong brought Garp and Sengoku to the Void Throne Hall to receive Devil Fruits, intending to trade their lives and loyalty for power and immortality. Garp rejected Kong’s betrayal of the Navy, and the chapter ended as Imu appeared and the Four Elder Stars and Kukulkan knelt.

  • Sengoku warned Kong that Kukulkan seemed controlled, but Kong admitted he wanted the authority and immortal body promised by the World Government.
  • Kukulkan led Kong, Garp, and Sengoku into the Void Throne Hall, where the Four Elder Stars and two Devil Fruits awaited them.
  • Garp and Sengoku grew wary of Kong’s submission, and Garp resolved to fight or flee if they were threatened.
  • Kong pledged everything to the World Government, while Garp refused to serve the Celestial Dragons and demanded the Devil Fruits.
  • Imu appeared on the Void Throne, and the Four Elder Stars and Kukulkan knelt before him.

Ch. 263Sengoku, Bound by Contract

Garp defied Imu and tried to escape the Void Throne Hall with Sengoku, but the Elders and Kukulkan overwhelmed them. Imu forced Sengoku and Kong into deeper contracts and provoked Garp to grow stronger, intending to turn him into a battle slave.

  • Kong, the Five Elders, and Fleet Admiral Kukulkan knelt before Imu, while Garp refused and insulted the King of the World.
  • Garp mastered Conqueror's Haki Infusion and grabbed Sengoku, then struck Kukulkan as they tried to flee the Void Throne Hall.
  • Kukulkan regenerated, and the Five Elders and Kukulkan surrounded Garp and Sengoku; Kong joined the fight and knocked Sengoku away.
  • Imu attacked Garp with dark tentacles and Yin Release shadow arrows, and Sengoku took the blow while protecting him, causing his Shallow Sea Contract to become a Deep Sea Contract.
  • Imu redirected the attacks into Kong, binding him with a contract, then urged Garp to fight his companions and grow stronger.

Ch. 264The Vanishing Rocks Pirates

The Rocks Pirates sailed toward Punk Hazard after Houka agreed to reveal information about Pluton once they dealt with the Great Hammer Warband. At Mary Geoise, Garp fought Imu’s immortal knights until Sengoku briefly broke free of control, then was seized again.

  • Tsuru sensed danger at the Red Line while Marine intelligence reported that the Rocks Pirates and the Giant Warrior Pirates had vanished, prompting the G-1 Marines to prepare for war.
  • Aboard the Sword of Xebec, Shiki questioned Houka about Pluton, and Houka said they would discuss it after dealing with the Great Hammer Warband.
  • Rocks and the others grew eager to find Pluton, while Houka doubted that the frozen giants of the Great Hammer Warband could be revived.
  • Imu watched Kong, Sengoku, and Kukulkan attack Garp, who exhausted himself fighting the immortal knights and demanded that Imu release Sengoku.
  • Sengoku briefly broke Imu’s control, punched Kong away, and urged Garp to flee, but Imu retook control and Sengoku attacked Garp as the Four Elders blocked his retreat.

Ch. 265Hellhound and Griffin, Eleven Conqueror's Haki

Imu turned Garp into an Abyss Contract holder and gave him a Hellhound fruit, while Kong received a Griffin fruit. As they prepared to confront the Rocks Pirates, Rocks’s forces invaded a World Government research island and unleashed eleven bursts of Conqueror’s Haki.

  • Imu made the exhausted Garp an Abyss Contract holder, suppressing his resistance and healing his injuries.
  • Imu gave Garp the Hellhound Cerberus Fruit and Kong the Griffin Fruit, and both transformed into their mythical Zoan forms.
  • Imu sent the Marine quartet to crush the Rocks Pirates, while the Holy Knights resented the Marines receiving contracts and power.
  • Rocks led his kingly officers in raiding a World Government research island, where their Conqueror’s Haki knocked out everyone and prevented information from escaping.
  • Harald joined the others as eleven bursts of Conqueror’s Haki erupted across the island.

Ch. 266The Frozen Great Hammer Warband

Houka and the Rocks Pirates discovered that the World Government had frozen the Great Hammer Warband for gigantification experiments on Punk Hazard. They found the Giants preserved in an underground freezer, but Houka could not confirm whether they could be revived.

  • Houka and the Giants arrived on Punk Hazard, where Houka suspected the World Government had captured the Great Hammer Warband for gigantification experiments.
  • Jarul, Harald, Dorry, Brogy, and the other Giants vowed to find their predecessors, and Rocks ordered everyone to search the island.
  • Golden Lion Shiki lifted one laboratory into the air, but the search party found no frozen Giants there.
  • The Rocks Pirates and Giants discovered many Great Hammer Warband members preserved in an underground freezer, and Jarul recognized them.
  • Rocks and Houka examined the powerful ice and wondered whether it came from an awakened Ice-Ice Fruit ability.
  • Rocks asked whether the Giants could be revived, but Houka admitted he did not know and believed they might be thawed in the future.

Ch. 267Another Giant of the D Clan

Rocks discovered that several frozen members of the D Clan were still alive and communicated with Eisen D. Oars JS, who had been frozen for over two hundred years. Houka stored the giants in his Lost World to investigate how to thaw them, while the World Government began sending a fleet to the research island.

  • Rocks used his Davy Clan Observation Haki to hear the voices of frozen giants and found Eisen D. Oars JS alive beneath the ice.
  • Rocks told Eisen D. Oars JS that more than two hundred years had passed and promised that Houka would find a way to revive the frozen giants.
  • Houka had Shiki move the giants into his Lost World and considered ways to thaw them without killing them.
  • Harald and Jarul asked Houka to save the giants, while Loki found fewer than a hundred and Dorry and Brogy attacked the unconscious World Government researchers.
  • The World Government sent five warships from G5 Fortress to investigate the research island after it stopped responding.
  • Houka created a God's Blade blood servant and wondered whether its Shallow Sea Mark could communicate with Imu across the distance to the Red Line.

Ch. 268The Terrified G5 Fleet

Golden Lion Shiki sold the three laboratories to Stussy, while the Rocks Pirates waited for an enemy to fight. When a five-ship G5 Fortress fleet arrived, the Marines were overwhelmed by the pirates and Charlotte Linlin began harvesting the souls of those who feared.

  • Golden Lion Shiki agreed to sell the laboratories to Stussy, who paid the Rocks Pirates and gave its officers a dividend.
  • Silver Axe Xiong and the other Rocks officers prepared to attack when Malone identified the approaching ships as a G5 Fortress fleet.
  • Houka flew beyond the island while carrying a God's Blade blood thrall to test the Shallow Sea Contract's signal.
  • Vice Admiral Westero recognized the Rocks Pirates at the harbor and ordered his Marines to stay aboard and notify G-1 Base.
  • Silver Axe Xiong, Gier Buster, and Flame Titan Babel charged toward the fleet as Charlotte Linlin used Soul Pocus to harvest the terrified Marines' lifespans.

Ch. 269Houka's Nonsense

As the Rocks Pirates attacked GP Research Island, Houka used a God's Blade to contact Imu and taunted the ruler about the Shallow Sea Contract and Queen Lily. He then invented stories about Joy Boy's and others' plans to unsettle Imu, who ended by offering Houka a place at his side.

  • G5 agents reported the Rocks Pirates' arrival at GP Research Island, and the Four Elders ordered Kukulkan, Kong, Sengoku, and Garp deployed.
  • Houka contacted Imu through a God's Blade and revealed that his Blood Servant Contract could overpower Imu's Shallow Sea Contract.
  • Houka provoked Imu by asking whether Imu had taken over Queen Lily's body and reminding him of Lily's ties to Joy Boy and the Will of D.
  • Imu's rage shook the Four Elders and stirred Garp's resistance, but Imu suppressed Garp's will and demanded to know whether Houka followed Joy Boy or Davy Jones.
  • Houka claimed that Joy Boy, Davy Jones, and the Mermaid Princess had prepared ways to defeat Imu, and hinted that he could take Uranus with the [Mother Flame].
  • Imu, unnerved by Houka's claims, offered him power over the Five Elders, the Holy Knights, and the Navy in exchange for a little loyalty.

Ch. 270Luring Imu In

Houka manipulated Imu by pretending to consider joining him, extracting information about Imu’s Devil Fruit collection and persuading him to send two Mythical Zoan Fruits. Imu planned to capture Houka in person, while Houka prepared to leave the island with Rocks’s crew.

  • Imu shifted from wanting Houka dead to offering him authority, power, and eternal life in exchange for his loyalty and intelligence.
  • Houka offered to reveal Rocks’s plans, Pluton’s location, and the Mother Flame, and Imu agreed to meet him while planning to move Uranus elsewhere.
  • Houka asked about several powerful Devil Fruits, and Imu revealed that he had a Kirin Fruit and a Crow Tengu Fruit but not the Azure Dragon Fruit.
  • Houka demanded that Imu send him the Kirin and Crow Tengu Fruits through Cipher Pol, and Imu agreed to arrange the exchange.
  • Houka learned that Charlotte Linlin, Silver Axe Xiong, and the others had defeated the Marines as Rocks considered attacking G-1 Base.
  • Imu resolved to use the Devil Fruits as bait to test Houka, while Houka celebrated having conned him into sending the fruits.

Ch. 271Each with Their Own Hidden Agenda

Kozuki Houka negotiated with Imu for the Kirin Fruit, while Imu planned to use the gift and rumors to sow discord between Houka and Rocks. Houka returned to Rocks and revealed the bargain, leaving Rocks eager to learn whether Imu’s offer could lead them to Uranus.

  • Houka praised Imu and ended their negotiation after asking for the Mythical Zoan Kirin Fruit.
  • Imu ordered Saint Nusjuro to deliver the fruit and spread claims that it was payment for Houka’s cooperation and that the World Government would make him one of the Five Elders.
  • The Four Elders agreed with Imu’s plan and reported the Rocks Pirates’ raid on GP Research Island.
  • Houka returned to the research island and told Rocks he had tricked Imu into giving him the Kirin Fruit and explained Imu’s mental link with the World Government’s agents.
  • Rocks asked Houka whether he was tempted by Imu’s offer and whether they could seize Uranus, while Houka denied he would trust Imu for a position.

Ch. 272The Sun God Nika Appears?

Houka and Rocks fought after reaffirming their trust, and Houka revealed a series of godlike forms that shocked the Rocks Pirates and the giants. The chapter left Houka towering over the island as he brought a colossal Bajrang Gun down on Rocks.

  • Rocks laughed off Houka's doubts and promised to let him rule the world, while Houka declared his ambitions reached beyond it.
  • Houka and Rocks challenged each other to spar, and their Conqueror's Haki clash shook the island as the crew watched and defended against the shockwaves.
  • Houka transformed into a silver moon god and struck Rocks with Moon God's Wrath, then changed into a golden thunder god and attacked with Thunder God's Wrath.
  • Houka's flame cloud and appearance turned white, leading Elder Jarul, Harald, Dorry, Brogy, and Loki to recognize him as Sun God Nika.
  • Houka grew hundreds of meters tall and launched an island-sized Sun God Nika: Bajrang Gun at Rocks.

Ch. 273Had Houka Already Reached Rocks's Level?

Houka used his many abilities and Haki to clash with Rocks on equal footing, but eventually faltered and was carried back by Charlotte Linlin. The Rocks Pirates and Giants left the ruined research island, eager to learn how Houka had gained his powers.

  • Rocks attacked Houka with his strongest sword strike, and Houka met it with an enormous Nika-shaped fist reinforced by Poneglyphs, multiple abilities, and Haki.
  • Houka and Rocks clashed for dozens of seconds, devastating the research island, before Houka's giant fist shrank and the backlash sent him flying.
  • Charlotte Linlin rode Zeus into the sky to retrieve Houka as the Rocks Pirates and Giants reacted to his Nika form and speculated about his powers.
  • Houka returned drained and asked everyone to wait until they were aboard before questioning him.
  • Golden Lion Shiki used his Float-Float Fruit to lift the Rocks Pirates' and Giants' warships away from the ruined island.

Ch. 274How Did You Know I Could Become a Dragon God?

Houka demonstrated that his Age-Age Fruit could let him imitate Sun God Nika, prompting Rocks and the others to speculate about his plans to become a god to powerful races. Houka confirmed he intended to obtain the Azure Dragon ability and become a real dragon god, then resisted everyone’s requests to impersonate other gods.

  • Golden Lion Shiki complained that Houka had taken the Age-Age Fruit without revealing its value, but backed down when Houka challenged him and the women glared at him.
  • Rocks recorded the Age-Age Fruit’s abilities in the Davy Clan’s Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, while Houka transformed into a Nika-like form for Loki and the Giants.
  • Rocks suggested Houka might become a dragon god worshipped by the Merfolk and Fish-Man Race, and Houka teased that Rocks had correctly predicted his future plan.
  • Houka explained that he had reserved his ninth Soul Fire for the Azure Dragon ability and intended to acquire it, while Rocks considered bringing Fish-Man Island into the New World Alliance.
  • Erza, Charlotte Linlin, Stussy, Loki, Shiki, and Rocks asked Houka to imitate various gods, but Houka only considered trying Erza’s carving of the Whirlpool God.

Ch. 275The Kirin Fruit and Another Round of Deception

Houka received the World Government’s Kirin Fruit while pretending to consider joining the Five Elders, even as he continued helping free the Great Hammer Warband. He left the Five Elders believing he might supply Road Poneglyphs and other valuable information, setting up another round of deception.

  • Houka, Rocks, Harald, and Newgate discovered that Conqueror’s Haki Infusion could break the awakened ice sealing the Great Hammer Warband, and they worked to free the giants.
  • The World Government sent a warship to the Sacred Ancient Moon Empire with a Mythical Zoan Kirin Fruit as a down payment for Houka’s supposed defection.
  • Houka accepted the fruit and told the Cipher Pol agent he would travel to the Grand Line with a surprise for the Five Elders, then gave the agent the sword Brave Star.
  • Houka let rumors of his negotiations with the World Government spread while the Rocks Pirates continued freeing the giants.
  • When the Five Elders called, Houka feigned loyalty to Imu and offered to find a Road Poneglyph and provide other secrets in exchange for more Devil Fruits.
