God King's Wager Reappears Once Again

A continuous barrage of explosions rang out, their force swallowing Tang San whole. He could not even scream, and no one knew whether he had survived such a bombardment.

When the explosions finally subsided, Tang San was still standing, though that did not mean he had emerged unaffected.

He leaned on the Blood Sea Trident to support himself, breathing heavily. Beneath his mask, his face was deathly pale. The trident radiated a dazzling blood-red glow, and it was the barrier formed by that crimson light that had protected Tang San during that critical moment.

However, maintaining that defensive barrier required a tremendous amount of Soul Power. Not to mention the consecutive Ice Blasts just now, which had made Tang San's Soul Power drain at an even more terrifying rate.

Fortunately, the blood-red barrier's defense was formidable. Tang San had merely overexerted himself and had not suffered any fatal injuries.

Once he noticed that the explosions had stopped, Tang San sighed in relief and prepared to withdraw the blood-red barrier. Keeping it active consumed far too much of his Soul Power.

Yet just as he was about to dispel it, he saw the three massive crisscrossing ice spikes surrounding him. His pupils constricted, and he immediately poured in even more Soul Power.

Judging from that series of explosions, Shui Bing'er's Ice Blast was not to be underestimated. The explosions of those ice crystals and snowflakes alone had caused such a tremendous commotion. If these three ice spikes exploded, even if he did not die, he would be crippled!
