Background / History

Xie Xie arrives in Eastsea City and meets Tang Wulin and Ji Fengyu at the station. He initially acts arrogantly toward Tang Wulin, but becomes friendly toward Ji Fengyu after learning of his Rainbow Dragon Martial Soul; the three register for Eastsea Academy together 1.

At the academy, Xie Xie is eager to befriend the highly ranked Ji Fengyu, partly because of Ji Fengyu’s reputation and potential value to him. He and Tang Wulin become tentative allies after both are overshadowed by Ji Fengyu’s popularity 2.

After losing to Tang Wulin, Xie Xie is transferred from Class One to Class Five. He is resentful of the demotion and vents his frustration to Ji Fengyu, while Tang Wulin overhears without intervening 4 5.
