Background / History

Tang San was a Shrek Academy student and a member of the Shrek Seven Devils. He was known for his calm analysis, Purple Demon Eye, Mysterious Heaven Skill, Blue Silver Grass, Clear Sky Hammer, and Tang Sect hidden-weapon techniques. He regarded attacks on his companions—particularly Oscar and Dai Mubai—as blood debts that had to be repaid. 29 30 31

At the Great Soul Arena, Tang San challenged the disguised Qian Renxue after she defeated Dai Mubai. His Blue Silver Grass initially restrained her, but Gu Qing intervened and turned the conflict into a two-on-two match. Gu Qing's Life-Type and Dark-Type Blue Silver Grass completely suppressed Tang San's martial soul; Tang San and Xiao Wu were defeated in a single exchange. 31 32

Tang San later fought alongside Shrek in the tournament against Martial Soul Hall. He used Blue Silver Grass, the Clear Sky Hammer, Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, and hidden weapons against the Golden Generation, but Gu Qing's Martial Soul Fusion Skill devastated the Shrek team. Tang San's attempt to use Yama's Invitation was stopped when Gu Qing crushed his wrist. 49 50

Driven by hatred toward Gu Qing and the humiliation of his defeats, Tang San entered Slaughter City. He survived its repeated life-or-death battles, won one hundred Hell Slaughter Arena matches, passed through the Hell Road, and gained the Slaughter God's Domain. 59

He recruited the Four Great Clans and founded the Tang Sect, presenting hidden weapons as a means for ordinary people and low-level soul masters to threaten Martial Soul Hall. Bai He defected at the founding assembly, however, and Gu Qing destroyed Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer, defeated him, and brought down the Tang Sect. 60 61 62 63

Rescued by the Clear Sky Sect and aided by Yu Xiaogang, Tang San traveled to Sea God Island. He completed the Sea God Nine Trials and returned three years later as the Sea God, seeking revenge against Gu Qing. Gu Qing killed him after easily overwhelming his divine power. 63 64
