Background / History

Dai Mubai is a prince of the Star Luo Empire and Zhu Zhuqing's fiancé. Their families’ assessment system places both of them under the threat of death if they fail, making their planned Martial Soul Fusion Skill central to Zhu Zhuqing's initial attempt to seek his cooperation. 26

Before confronting Gu Qing directly, Dai Mubai stands with Tang San and Oscar after Gu Qing cripples Ma Hongjun and severely injures Oscar. Although furious, he does not dare attack Gu Qing after witnessing the corrosive black mist surrounding Oscar's wounds. 18 19

Personality

Dai Mubai is proud, competitive, and intensely concerned with honor. His defeat by Gu Qing and Zhu Zhuqing's rejection leave him consumed by humiliation, jealousy, and a desire to retaliate. 27 29 30

Story Role / Major Arcs

Conflict with Gu Qing and Zhu Zhuqing

At a Heaven Dou City bar, Dai Mubai corners Zhu Zhuqing and threatens to abandon her if she refuses him, knowing that failure in the Star Luo family assessment would likely lead to her death. Gu Qing interrupts, condemns Dai Mubai as a depraved Star Luo prince, and exposes his identity. 26 27

Dai Mubai attacks Gu Qing with his White Tiger Avatar, but Gu Qing's Dark Blue Silver Grass forms a shield that returns the force of Dai Mubai's strike. Dai Mubai is hurled through tables and into a wall, suffering severe injuries. Zhu Zhuqing subsequently resolves to determine her fate for herself and leaves him behind. 27

Great Soul Arena Defeat

Still bandaged from Gu Qing's attack, Dai Mubai arrives at the Heaven Dou City Great Soul Arena and becomes interested in the fighter known as “Xue,” who has defeated multiple Soul Ancestors while displaying only level-30 soul power. He sees defeating her as a way to restore his damaged honor. 29

After learning that “Xue” is accompanying Gu Qing, Dai Mubai challenges her, insults her disguised appearance, and declares that he will teach her “true strength.” 30

Dai Mubai opens with White Tiger Protection Barrier and White Tiger Intense Light Wave, then employs White Tiger Vajra Transformation after Qian Renxue repels him with a redirected palm strike. Qian Renxue avoids his attacks, targets weaknesses in his joints, and ends the battle by throwing him into the arena floor, leaving him with multiple broken bones and his White Tiger martial soul shattered. 30 31

Shrek's Vow for Revenge

Following Zhao Wuji's death, Dai Mubai joins the Shrek Seven Devils in swearing to confront Gu Qing at the continental finals. He declares that they will humiliate Gu Qing and Martial Soul Hall on the tournament stage. 40 43

During the tournament battle against the Martial Soul Hall Team, Dai Mubai uses White Tiger Vajra Transformation and White Tiger Intense Light Wave to meet Yan's attack, but is pushed back by the disparity in their soul power. He later follows Tang San's command to lure the enemy on the left. 48
