Background / History

Xiao Qing encountered Xiao Feng as a dying Wind Shadow Wolf in the Star Dou Forest. Using the Prism Ball, Xiao Qing absorbed the wolf as his first contracted soul beast and gained his first spirit ring before reaching level ten. 4

After Xiao Qing killed a Golden Winged Bird and began building a life in the forest, he named the wolf “Xiao Feng.” The pair became hunting partners: Xiao Feng scouted and located prey, while Xiao Qing selected targets and directed their tactics. 5

Xiao Feng’s cultivation rose through the Prism Ball’s experience-point system. It gained experience from defeated opponents, including enemies that were merely knocked unconscious, though killing stronger prey produced more efficient returns. Its growth also fed a portion of soul power back to Xiao Qing. 6 10

During their early survival period, Xiao Feng found a rare Red Vermilion Fruit, protected Xiao Qing while he was unconscious from poison, and guarded their surroundings through the night. Dugu Bo later cured both Xiao Qing and Xiao Feng of the Green Phosphorus and Datura Snake poisons. 7 9

Xiao Feng later became the offensive half of Xiao Qing’s team with A'Man. While A'Man absorbed attacks and opened gaps, Xiao Feng exploited weak points with speed, phantom techniques, and precise strikes. 11 14

At the 999-year bottleneck, Xiao Qing gathered materials and formed an ancient evolution array. Xiao Feng completed a bloodline evolution from Wind Shadow Wolf into a thousand-year Storm Wolf King, becoming vastly larger and awakening Wind Messenger. 14 23 24

Appearance

Xiao Feng began as a cyan-gray Wind Shadow Wolf. Following its bloodline evolution, it developed dense deep-cyan fur with a metallic sheen and naturally swirling wind energy around its body. 23

Xiao Feng is obedient, affectionate, and strongly protective of Xiao Qing. It accepts simple verbal commands through the Prism Ball’s communication link, nuzzles Xiao Qing’s hand, wags its tail when praised, and shares meals with him. 5 10

In combat, Xiao Feng is alert and fearless. It has repeatedly placed itself in danger to protect Xiao Qing, including suffering a Datura Snake bite and serious wounds from a Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear. 7 10
