Just as Spirit Hall thought they could capture Xiao Wu, she flew toward Tang San. A blood-red halo instantly enveloped the entire Stone Forest, and time seemed to stand still.

When Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python sensed something was wrong, they broke free of the Two-Pole Stasis Domain with all their strength. Titan Giant Ape was the first to charge toward the red halo.

Xiao Wu's body slowly rose into the air. Her clothes turned to ash, her skin gleamed like rubies, and the essence of the Hundred-Thousand-Year Soft Bone Rabbit burned away completely.

A powerful magnetic field kept Spirit Hall's people at a distance, leaving them able only to watch from afar.

Ling Chen emerged from behind the stone mountain. Wisps of smoke still rose from his left sleeve, which had been burned black, but his eyes were blood-red.

Ling Chen's murderous aura surged skyward, breaking through Chen Xin's sword-qi suppression. Even the color of the sky changed.

After briefly leaving the range of Ling Chen's domain, the three members of the Golden Generation finally came to their senses. They stared in disbelief at the blood mist still creeping up around their feet.

After their domain was broken, Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo hurried over.

"Old Ghost! The Golden Generation must not be harmed!"

Hu Liena was a candidate for the position of Spirit Hall's Pope. If she were injured, Bibi Dong would hold them accountable—not to mention if she died here.

All of Xiao Wu's power became a pillar of blood-red light and poured into Tang San's body.

Her figure slowly turned transparent within the glow. As she faded away, she kissed Tang San on the lips, then became flecks of blood-red fireflies that completely merged into his body, leaving behind only a remnant soul, protected along with her original body by Lovesick Heartbreak Red.

Ling Chen, too, held on only until he had killed all the Soul Saints present. Then he lost consciousness and collapsed.

The blood mist gradually faded as the Peerless Domain merged with his murderous aura. Titan Giant Ape tried to lift Ling Chen in its hands, but a ghostly figure appeared beside him, intending to take him away.

"Moo!"

Sky Azure Bull Python's tail moved faster than Ghost Douluo. Its massive serpent's tail whipped toward him.

Ghost Douluo gave a cold laugh and held Ling Chen's weakened body in front of himself. Sky Azure Bull Python didn't slow down. It wasn't trying to knock Ghost Douluo away; it wanted to coil around him and pin him in place.

"Old Ghost!"

Ghost Douluo wasn't in a hurry. Instead, he placed a hand on Ling Chen's head.

"Sky Azure Bull Python, I know you want to protect this child. But all it would take is a little effort from me, and he'd be reduced to nothing!"

Sky Azure Bull Python glanced back at Tang San, lying among the Manjushage, then looked at Ling Chen. It was torn.

For a time, it and Titan Giant Ape could do nothing to the two Titled Douluo. If they kept fighting, Ling Chen would die here. But if they let them take Ling Chen, they feared he would later misunderstand and think the Soul Beasts had abandoned their loyalty.

Ling Chen had clearly helped them, yet this was how things turned out. It was enough to chill anyone's heart.

Sky Azure Bull Python snorted a long breath at Ghost Douluo, then flung the two of them away. Chrysanthemum Douluo followed with the three members of the Golden Generation, and they withdrew from the Stone Forest.

The Soul Power of Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor surged. A Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring revolved around him, and his shattered body healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

He got to his feet and looked around. All he saw was a field of Manjushage and the Soft Bone Rabbit sleeping beside his feet. Lovesick Heartbreak Red wrapped around the rabbit's body, giving off a faint red glow.

"Xiao Wu, how could you be so foolish!"

Tang San picked up the Soft Bone Rabbit. Lovesick Heartbreak Red's petals gradually merged into its body, slowly waking it.

Seeing that things were improving, Tang San felt a glimmer of hope. Suddenly, someone came up behind him and patted him on the shoulder.
