Tang San is calm, observant, and strategically minded. He evaluates Ling Chen’s abnormal abilities carefully, recognizes the value of an alliance, and arranges their Hell Slaughter Arena matches to keep Ling Chen from being exhausted by consecutive fights. 9
He is fiercely protective of those he accepts as allies. Tang San shields Ling Chen from Tang Hao’s attack, supports him during the Sea God’s Light trial, and resolves to rescue him after Martial Soul Hall captures him. 16 44 67 His compassion is especially evident in his willingness to sacrifice himself for Xiao Wu. 43

Tang San enters Slaughter City under the name Tang Yin and approaches Ling Chen after witnessing the six-year-old’s victories in the Hell Slaughter Arena. He proposes an alliance, offering to alternate their matches so Ling Chen can rest between battles. 9
He joins Ling Chen and Hu Liena in their assault on Slaughter City, then leads the group through the Hell Road using his Blue Silver Domain and perception. 10 13 15 Upon leaving, he receives the Slaughter God’s Domain and spars with Ling Chen to test the latter’s Peerless Domain. 15
Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect
Tang San vouches for Ling Chen before Tang Hao, arguing that their experience on the Hell Road proves Ling Chen is worthy of trust. 17 He later assists in bringing Ling Chen to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, where Ling Chen’s Green Steel Sword is awakened as a martial soul. 19
Xiao Wu’s Pursuit and Ling Chen’s Capture
