In the South Sea, Lu Zhiyu piloted his yacht, searching for traces of Sakun. Through the Universe Scroll, Lu Zhiyu had already pinpointed its location. He did not intend to capture it via the Dimensional Gate; instead, he wanted to catch it off guard and drag it into the Dream World!
Lu Zhiyu's yacht flickered and instantly vanished into thin air. Traversing a distance of several hundred miles, it arrived above a stretch of sea where Lu Zhiyu immediately spotted Sakun. At this moment, it was frolicking on the seabed, boiling the surrounding hundreds of meters of water. A vast number of dead fish floated to the surface, and Sakun was swallowing them one by one.
Water vapor permeated the sea, making the entire world appear shrouded in mist. The seawater bubbled and churned. Lu Zhiyu steered the yacht, gradually approaching Sakun, yet Sakun remained completely unaware!
The moment Lu Zhiyu locked his gaze on Sakun, he noticed its body was five or six times larger than before, now reaching the size of half a human torso. In just two years, it had expanded this much; it seemed to have extracted a massive amount of Source Substance from the Zero-Dimensional Otherworld.
This was one of the reasons Lu Zhiyu had come to capture it. He had originally opened the permissions of the Zero-Dimension World to it, and now he intended to revoke them. Even if he wanted to provide Source Substance for use in the future, he did not plan to adopt such an unrestricted method!
Sakun seemed to sense something—it felt Lu Zhiyu's presence. Turning back to look, it saw a white yacht breaking the surface and closing in on it. It tried to unleash its abilities in a rage, but it was already too late.
"Dream World, activate!"
Lu Zhiyu locked onto Sakun instantly. Sakun felt the entire world shift; a tremendous suction force and a flood of information began to assimilate its consciousness, dragging it into Lu Zhiyu's Dream World.
Sakun struggled violently, but it was to no avail. The moment Lu Zhiyu locked onto its consciousness, it had already lost. Had it defended itself in advance, it might have been possible to shake off Lu Zhiyu's dream invasion, but at this point, it could only submit and enter Lu Zhiyu's world!
Sakun entered the Dream World, becoming a giant squid, and began to attack everything in the dreamscape frantically. As the entire town was destroyed by it, the Dream World shattered, and it followed, entering a cycle of death.
The Dream World entered its second cycle, and the entire world was restored. Sakun's consciousness seemed to have been partially assimilated, and its soul form began to change. This time, Sakun attacked the Dream World again.
Time and time again, through these cycles, Sakun gradually erased all its will. In the end, Sakun's form was gradually interfered with by Lu Zhiyu's information, becoming a middle-aged, sturdy man. Devoid of chaotic will or angry emotions, he walked through the town under the Blood Moon, bewildered and lost.
Suddenly, Sakun saw a blacksmith shop. As if guided by a magical force, he walked inside. Sakun picked up a hammer, lit the furnace, pulled the bellows, and began to forge iron tools, strike after strike!
He had become a puppet, a part of the Dream World, working as a blacksmith in the dream town, lost and confused, his consciousness transformed into a fragment of the Dream World's information!
Lu Zhiyu, lying in the cockpit, sat up abruptly, drenched in sweat. It had indeed been dangerous just now; the clash between Lu Zhiyu and Sakun in the Dream World had nearly failed, and had Sakun broken free, Lu Zhiyu's Dream World would likely have shattered, and his own consciousness would have suffered a massive blow.
But in the end, it was Sakun who could not hold on. Its consciousness was assimilated by Lu Zhiyu's Dream World. Furthermore, Lu Zhiyu discovered that after assimilating Sakun's consciousness into his Dream World, his own soul was gradually growing stronger.
However, for the Dream World to fully assimilate Sakun's consciousness would still take several years. It required the Dream World to slowly erase and wear down Sakun's will. Although it seemed time-consuming and the process was highly dangerous, once the assimilation was complete, Lu Zhiyu's mental power would increase by at least seven or eight hundred units in an instant—equivalent to saving over two years of meditation!
At the same time, throughout the entire ocean, all the 'Children of the Sea God' seemed to hear a mournful cry in an instant. The Blood of Sakun within their bodies caused them to let out shrill roars, as if something vital had been lost.
Yet, simultaneously, the Blood of Sakun within them had lost its master, and they had gained complete freedom, becoming true Children of the Sea God. Having lost their Sea God, they had also completely lost their shackles. Perhaps one day, one among them would be able to gather the Blood of Sakun once more and become the new generation of the Sea God.
Lu Zhiyu was overjoyed. Defeating and thoroughly killing Sakun showed him just how powerful his dream control ability truly was. Although Sakun, this mythological creature, was somewhat weak—a simplified version of a mythological creature created by Lu Zhiyu, with a smaller body and fewer Deified Cells, its mental capacity was even on par with Lu Zhiyu's own.
However, in terms of the essence of life, it was already a mythological creature. Even for other mythological creatures of the same level, killing it completely would be an impossible feat, yet Lu Zhiyu had achieved it before he had even become a mythological creature himself!
"Flaws in consciousness and soul are indeed the only weakness of mythological creatures. Fortunately, I discovered this in advance and mastered this flaw myself, otherwise, if someone used this trick against me in the future, I fear I wouldn't be able to withstand it!"
Lu Zhiyu walked onto the deck and waved his hand. Beneath the water, a black squid over a meter long floated up, its skin even shimmering with a metallic luster!
"This is a treasure!"
This was Sakun's body. Although it had lost its consciousness, Sakun's body had not died; its cells remained active, and it was still 'alive'. This was an entire mythological creature's worth of Deified Cells. If Lu Zhiyu were to decompose it into the sea, he could contaminate the entire ocean and thousands upon thousands of creatures!
At this moment, the thick fog dissipated, and the sea surface that had been boiled by Sakun rapidly cooled down. The entire ocean calmed. Only then did Lu Zhiyu look through the mist to see a shadow in the distance; its continuous frame revealed it to be a continent.
"I actually arrived here; I really didn't expect that!"
Lu Zhiyu piloted the yacht toward the continent. This was his first time setting foot here. It was a truly miraculous continent formed within Maria World: the Water Vortex Continent. It looked like an island, but it was so vast that it could certainly be called a continent.
However, it could not compare to the Yala Continent or the Alan Continent, being only one-tenth the size of the Alan Continent. Its overall shape resembled a ring, with a massive lake in the center directly connected to the sea. The terrain was so miraculous that it had a touch of divine craftsmanship, though this had nothing to do with Lu Zhiyu; it was entirely a naturally formed landscape!
"This continent doesn't have any life yet, does it? Only plants grow on it, and there are many insects, but animals are quite scarce!" Lu Zhiyu took the opportunity to tour the place during his first visit. When he saw the massive saltwater lake in the interior, he felt it was no different from the sea; he couldn't see the end of it at all!
