Gods should not have been surprised by anything. Yet the tremors rising from the seabed seemed like a world-changing upheaval, so violent that even Ares, the God of War, showed a shocked expression.
Luo Xia, however, remained utterly calm. He said to Ares, "What? You Olympian Gods created humanity and opened up the heavens and earth, yet a scene like this can still surprise you?"
Ares's expression turned quite ugly, but he still forced himself to remain composed. "An ant lifting a stone is enough to surprise anyone too, isn't it?"
"Then keep being surprised." Luo Xia said.
The tremors on the sea showed no sign of stopping. Instead, they grew increasingly violent. The sea level began to rise, as though some colossal creature were ascending from the ocean floor.
Ares felt a measure of unease. He had no intention of waiting any longer and decided to capture Luo Xia first. With a tap of his toes against the sea, Ares shot toward Luo Xia like a bolt of lightning, both fists striking at him.
With a sweep of his hand, Luo Xia conjured a whirlwind from thin air. It turned into a waterspout that enveloped Ares, its immense force lifting thousands of tons of seawater and hurling Ares high into the sky.
"It seems even gods are subject to some basic laws of physics." Luo Xia said as he looked at the drenched Ares.
"Mortal, you have utterly enraged me!" Ares roared.
But when he prepared to attack Luo Xia again, he found that the man had vanished before his eyes. Even after Ares switched to energy vision, he could not locate Luo Xia. Instead, his attention was drawn to the colossal object continuously rising from the seabed.
In a short time, the gigantic thing revealed its general outline.
