Feng Zi gazed at Li Wei in a daze, as if she were seeing him for the first time.
Li Wei, meanwhile, stared with keen interest at the comb that seemed to be under his control.
He could clearly sense that this wasn't complete control. It was more like he was borrowing another power to indirectly exert force on the comb.
The sensation was incredible, like an extra organ had granted Li Wei access to a new ability that he could use at will simply by focusing his thoughts.
Li Wei didn't answer Feng Zi's question. He felt that using this power to manipulate objects was merely its most basic application.
His gaze shifted to the pile of miscellaneous items on the table: combs, razors, hair clippers, and all sorts of other things.
He once again activated his interference with the natural law of gravity!
But this time, he clearly felt the strain. The objects in the area where he was trying to negate the law only showed the faintest sign of breaking free from gravity and floating up for an instant.
The phenomenon was so brief that it seemed more like a trick of the senses.
Li Wei didn't get discouraged. Instead, he stared at his hand, covered in hair dye, and pondered.
He remembered the attribute points he'd received after leveling up two days ago. Back then, he'd tried putting one point each into [Con] and [Int]. The boost to his physical fitness from [Con] had been obvious, but he hadn't been able to make heads or tails of what [Int] improved.
Now that he'd learned the physics skill, Li Wei felt he'd found what [Int] really affected!

Its range was too small, and it could only affect things too weakly.

This time, when he once again pushed his control of gravity to its limits, nearly every inanimate object in the barbershop entered a state of weightlessness!
Tables, chairs, teapots, hair dryers, wooden cabinets.

Once [Int] had doubled from its base value, he finally felt the true might of science!
The area in which he could control gravity grew larger. By his rough estimate, it now covered a circle with a radius of around ten meters, centered on him!
This time, the weightlessness enveloped everything in the room!
Not only that, but Feng Zi and Li Wei himself also rose off the ground and floated in midair!
The shock on Feng Zi's face had gone numb.
She still wore the barber's cape, and her head was covered in black hair dye. As she drifted through the air, her expression remained frozen in a look of utter disbelief.
Li Wei, however, broke into a smile!
Now that was more like it!
This level was finally satisfying, and worthy of the attribute points he'd invested.
And controlling gravity wasn't limited to simply making its force disappear from objects.
What if he thought in the opposite direction and made gravity stronger?
At a thought from Li Wei, all the objects that had been floating in midair settled back into place. His control was so precise that none of them shattered against the floor from the sudden change in force.
Even Feng Zi, whose body had begun to tilt as she floated, landed safely back in the swivel chair.
But in the next second, Feng Zi, still stunned, suddenly seemed to be yanked downward by an enormous force. With a thump, she fell forward onto her hands and knees!
That finally snapped her out of her daze. In a voice tinged with an inexplicable grievance, she shouted,
"626! Stop messing around!"
Everything around them was affected by the force. A sponge that had fallen to the floor was squashed flat, while the loose strands of hair scattered across the ground seemed to have been glued firmly to the surface. They couldn't be moved at all.
Li Wei applied the same force to himself. He could clearly feel his movements growing sluggish and difficult. Even with his current physical fitness, taking a step forward was extraordinarily hard.
After experiencing the power firsthand, Li Wei stopped controlling gravity. He also took Feng Zi by the arm and helped her up from the floor and back into the swivel chair.
"Science really is so interesting!"
After seeing how much improving [Int] affected his scientific abilities, Li Wei didn't blindly put all his remaining attribute points into it.
His player information only offered two attributes to increase: [Con] and [Int]. He wasn't going to go to extremes and focus on just one.
A top player always went for the all-round build: "I want it all."
Besides, although the science skill was genuinely incredible—so astonishing it seemed more like magic than science—given Li Wei's current situation, his physical fitness was still his main means of attack and self-defense.
For now, Gravity Manipulation was more useful as a combat support skill.
Now that he finally understood what [Int] affected, Li Wei didn't save the rest of his attribute points. He put them all into [Con], bringing the two attributes closer together.
