Admission and Training

• Disciples who reach the Blood-Tempering Realm can enter the Inner Courtyard. Master Li may make exceptions for exceptional aptitude: he admitted Qin Huan directly after identifying his upper eighth-grade bone structure 2 4 5.
• Outer Courtyard disciples learn the Baji Fist Introductory Foundation. Inner Courtyard disciples can learn the Six Harmonies Eight Desolations Baji Fist; Master Li forbids unqualified Outer Courtyard disciples from secretly practicing it 2 33.
• Shi Wen registered as an Inner Courtyard disciple after tempering his blood and qi. With Master Li away, Li Qianqian began teaching him the core art and its Internal Breath Method 32 33 34.

Facilities and Benefits

• The Inner Courtyard is separated from the Outer Courtyard by a wall and covers roughly 100 square meters. It has more extensive training equipment, including a rack of sharpened weapons, and provides individual rooms for disciples 2 32.
• Registered disciples receive robes and an identity token, have their tuition waived, and receive ten catties of exotic beast meat and a monthly supply of Bone-Strengthening Tiger Medicine 33.
• Disciples may earn retainers by affiliating with businesses or gangs and helping when needed. The academy takes a ten percent commission on outside affiliation fees; disciples must also assist the academy when called upon and may not betray it 5 33.

Ten Great Disciples

The Inner Courtyard's Ten Great Disciples are ranked by strength rather than age or seniority. Places can be lost to challengers, along with their associated resources and benefits 10.

Ranked disciples receive benefits including high-grade medicinal pills, shares of tributes from gangs and merchant guilds, access to expensive herbs, and opportunities for resource-rich affiliations 10.
