Background

Bai Xiaotang is the daughter of Bai Yuesheng, the leader of the Unity Alliance, a coalition of several powerful clans. Her family background and aptitude are considered comparable to those of Jin Wuming, making her one of the three principal contenders for the Martial Academy’s Newcomer King title alongside Jin Wuming and Murong Jue. 78

When Cui Yunhao attempts to force Lu Yuan into service, Bai Xiaotang arrives with Jiang Ying and invokes the backing of the Unity Alliance. Her intervention forces Cui Yunhao to withdraw, and she offers the Alliance’s banner as protection for the caravans tied to Lu Yuan’s allies. 96

Alliance Flag Contest

Bai Xiaotang asks Lu Yuan to repay his favor by helping the Bai Family retain leadership of the Unity Alliance. She loses the first match to Feng Yingying despite matching her opponent’s Gold Armor foundation and thirty-percent Intent, leaving Jiang Ying and Lu Yuan to win the remaining two matches. 100 101
