Inside the Dragon Cave.
It must be said that the productivity of this world is low, and even the tomb of the founding emperor, Dragon I, was built in a very 'simple' manner.
Looking at the rough walls around him, Sulu felt that this was less like Mausoleum and more like an underground labyrinth.
The light was dim, but because of his [Shadow Warrior] affinity for shadows, he possessed a kind of 'darksight' ability, so he didn't find it troublesome.
"Darkness, shadows... this is the environment that spirits love most."
Sulu murmured.
The outer corps was merely guards at the entrance to the Mausoleum.
Its internal guardians are curses, monsters, and all sorts of mechanisms and traps!
Furthermore, everyone knows that Dragon I had no other valuable items buried with him besides the Great Dragon.
The inheritance and the Curio were naturally passed on to future generations.
And tragically, the Wizard of this world are unable to utilize the most precious Dragon Crystal found on the Great Dragon.
So much time has passed that the spiritual essence of dragon blood and dragon skin has probably evaporated. It would be unwise to force one's way into the Mausoleum just for a few dragon bones, which is why the spirit of Dragon I was able to rest in peace.
"However... because of my sudden rise to power, perhaps Philetrin III and some others have already set their sights on the Dragon Crystal here... But King Philetrin III is under a lot of pressure to desecrate his own ancestors' graves. In addition, with the arrival of Gran, the son of the Duke of Wolf Castle, there are a lot of things to do in the Royal Capital. Therefore, he has not taken action for the time being?"
Sulu's Inspiration flows freely.
He had already sensed the presence of some spirits.
Those were not ordinary spirits lingering in the Spirit World, but Evil Spirit living in the Material World and wandering within the Dragon Cave!
They are equivalent to second-tier strength, and are very effective against knight-type professionals. There are also quite a few of them, so even high-level Wizard would feel a lot of pressure if they came.
"Intruders... Kill!"
Before long, Sulu saw a faint light in the darkness.
It was a translucent, ghostly shadow that seemed to have lost all color.
The other party still maintained a human form, wearing ancient armor, but scales had grown on part of its skin.
"Half-Dragon Transformation Evil Spirit?"
Sulu came up with a very suitable title.
"A legendary Great Dragon is enough to affect the creatures in the vicinity... Now it seems that not only living beings, but even Evil Spirit are affected?"
These Evil Spirit were probably originally guardians who, after death, lingered in the Material World with only one obsession: guarding the Mausoleum.
Over a long period of time, after being imbued with the aura of dragons, they also underwent a certain degree of mutation.
They're more loyal to the dragon, so they must be a bit stronger too!
"Great! Great!"
Sulu's eyes lit up, and he nodded repeatedly, "That's great!"
He felt embarrassed to go on a killing spree in the Royal Capital or at Wizard gatherings, but he had fewer such concerns when dealing with Evil Spirit.
"Spirit Chain!"
His eyes turned dark, and a pale chain wrapped around his right hand rippled in circles.
"Kill!"
At this moment, the Dragon-man Evil Spirit roared and pounced forward, baring its fangs and claws.
But halfway there, it was bound by pale chains and frozen in mid-air.
"Spirits that linger in the Material World have violated the laws of nature; vanish!"
Sulu sighed softly and recited in Words of Arrogance.
Pale flames appeared on the chains and burned fiercely on the Evil Spirit.
This flame is eerily cold, devoid of any warmth. Under its scorching heat, the originally angry and hateful Evil Spirit gradually become calm, then bewildered, and finally dissipate.
"I used to be completely unable to deal with a second-tier Evil Spirit like this, but now it's much easier..."
Furthermore, by simply reciting incantations, these Evil Spirit can be sent directly back to the Spirit World, making the process even more effortless and convenient.
But for the sake of experience points, Sulu obviously wouldn't do that.
"Intruders!"
"Guard the Dragon Tomb!"
Whispers of various ghosts echoed from within the passageway.
Sulu's right hand hung down, and the Spirit Chain coiled around him like a python.
As long as there are Evil Spirit nearby, even without him lifting a finger, the Spirit Chain will take the initiative to strike, and even some invisible spirits cannot escape the 'snake's kiss'.

On the Attribute Panel, a row of experience points records filled the screen, but then stopped appearing quickly.
"What's going on? This is the Mausoleum of the founding emperor, Dragon I! And it's only guarded by a few dozen Evil Spirit?"
Watching all the spirits disappear, with the occasional one escaping only fleeing for its life or cowering in a corner, Sulu was speechless.
"So... this is Twilight of the Gods? But this is only the outer perimeter of the Mausoleum..."
Possessing Inspiration and an extremely high level of Occult Lore, he swept away these Evil Spirit and swiftly disarmed the traps and mechanisms in the Mausoleum, advancing to the core area.
"After all, it's something from a thousand years ago. If it's purely a material trap, time alone would be enough to destroy most of it..."
Sulu walked to the end of the passage.
What comes into view is an extremely large underground cave.
The entire cliff seems to have been hollowed out here, and the view below is clearly visible from a height of tens of meters.
Dragon!
Great Dragon!
Great Dragon, several meters long, lay horizontally on the ground, its body resembling a hill.
Some of them had decayed into skeletons, while others still retained their flesh, resembling mummies.
A faint Dragon Might's might lingered within the cave.
The only thing they have in common is that their heads are all facing a Maya Pyramid -like structure in the center, as if they are worshipping it.
This structure is the only trace of human activity in the cave. It appears to be constructed from black bricks and stones. On the platform at the top, there is a golden coffin, engraved with intricate spiritual patterns and mysterious symbols, which is still faintly shimmering.
The Great Dragon's head bowed towards the coffin, as if surrounded by stars, or like vassals submitting to their lord!
"Is this the tomb of Dragon I?"
Sulu glanced at it and couldn't help but complain, "Why don't you just gather a few more Great Dragon and form a ' Nine Dragons Carrying the Coffin '? That would guarantee your descendants will prosper..."
But his expression turned serious, and he sensed danger.
"This isn't a tomb... it looks more like a ceremony!"
After all, Dragon I was a confirmed Tier 5 professional, so there's a high probability he'd cause some trouble after his death.
Therefore, even though there was a high probability that there were Dragon Crystal below, he did not immediately lose his mind and rush down.
"No doubt about it, this must be some kind of ritual..."
Sulu's pupils suddenly contracted.
Because he thought of the Main World!
Some of the old monsters from the previous Twilight of the Gods era did not die, but chose to seal themselves or Banishment themselves, waiting for the Dawn to come again!
This Dragon I is very likely the same case!
