After a series of improvements, Sulu sat calmly, experiencing the various changes in his body.

"With a Spirit 4.0 bonus, plus the 0.8 enhancement from the Spirit Spike, even some Tier 1 transcendents might be fatal..."

"Right now, among second-tier extraordinary elites, my strength should be considered pretty good, right?"

"Next, we need to find the Evil Spirit Possession person and then deal with them."

Sulu had two plans in mind to find that enemy.

The first step was to search the cemetery in Posi Port to find the Beak-Masked Man it was controlling, and then trace it back through the Spirit World.

The second option is to confront Gerald head-on.

Since the other party hired that Evil Spirit Possession, they must know how to contact them.

"This could potentially lead to a clash with Federation forces, so we need to be careful."

After thinking it through, Sulu changed into clean clothes, went out, hailed a horse-drawn carriage, and began his tour of Posi Port.

After all, on the surface he's a college student on a graduation trip, so he has to put on an act.

Besides, he did indeed want to visit the famous Goddess of Light Memorial Tower.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye.

Inside the coffee shop.

Sulu sipped his coffee while reading the newspaper.

In the local newspapers, the Kira Giles apartment incident was described as a gang fight, prompting the city government to launch a cleanup operation that severely cracked down on several gangs, resulting in unprecedentedly good security in Posi Port.

... All of the above are empty words and platitudes.

Only a handful of people, including Sulu, understood the truth of what happened that night.

"It's almost time..."

He got up, muttering to himself, went back to the hotel, settled the bill, and went to the outskirts of town alone.

"These past few nights, I've been having Soul Projection, monitoring the cemetery and Gerald's place... but they've all been behaving themselves. Was I receiving a warning from some force?"

Sulu couldn't possibly be playing hide-and-seek with them in Posi Port forever.

Therefore, he decided to test the waters one more time tonight. If there was no response, he would leave the next day; he had already bought his train ticket.

He went to the outskirts and skillfully found a hiding place. He had discovered it after two days of reconnaissance. The location was very remote, and he only needed to set up a perimeter of warning signs.

Next, Sulu placed protective talismans and candles to protect against spirits.

After being promoted to [Occultist], the little things he made became even more effective and could now be considered true mystical items.

"Actually... this arrangement is just a reminder!"

Sulu thought with a touch of helplessness as his soul leaped out of his body and into the real world.

He glanced around; the candlelight in the cave had become hazy, as if everything was veiled in a light gauze. He took a deep breath and realized he had returned to the first level of the Spirit World.

"The first layer of the Spirit World is actually a projection of the real world... so the terrain and even the buildings are exactly the same... but there is no life! Hmm... no living life!"

Because it was a cave, the place where Sulu was located in the first layer of the Spirit World was also a cave.

But it appeared even more hazy than what we had just seen.

He looked at himself and found that, according to his will, his spirit had changed into a black trench coat.

A silver Bird-Beak Mask not only covered his face, but seemed to have merged with it.

"Because ' Crow Mask ' is a supernatural object, it can be brought into the Spirit World? Most real-world items won't work, and some ordinary Curio will work while others won't... Of course, perhaps it's because my [Medium] abilities are insufficient."

Sulu vaguely sensed that if his abilities continued to improve, it wouldn't be impossible for him to bring any item into the Spirit World in the future, or even his physical body.

He stepped out of the barrier he had set up and entered the jungle.

In the jungle of the Spirit World, the trees are not only translucent, but also have a faint, shimmering glow.

Some of this is their own spiritual radiance, while some comes from wandering spirits.

They resemble either bioluminescent jellyfish or will-o'-the-wisps wandering in graveyards, and most of them are unconscious.

Occasionally, a few will maintain a human form, and those require special attention.

Sulu's body swayed, and he traveled swiftly through the Spirit World.

"Because the first layer of the Spirit World is closely connected to reality, there is also the concept of 'distance'!"

Sulu's figure swiftly swept past one magnificent scene after another without pausing for a moment.

In reality, he can travel through the real world in spirit form, and the speed is about the same in both, but for a spirit, it is naturally more comfortable to travel in the Spirit World.

Because of his advancement to a second-tier transcendent being, Sulu felt that his spiritual energy could last outside his body for a long time!

"Of course... the Spirit World is dangerous, even the first level! But the real world is just as dangerous... you might encounter surveillance from some mysterious force, like the Church! Or other supernatural professions!"

The real world and the first layer of the Spirit World are very similar, but not exactly the same.

Simply put, the real world is mostly populated by animals and humans, while in the Spirit World, Sulu sees mostly all sorts of spirits.

It seems like two sides of the same coin, one being the human world and the other the Underworld!

Sulu traveled carefully, cautiously avoiding some seemingly dangerous environments.

The 'presence' of Spirit World beings is entirely determined by their strength.

Once Medium's instincts sense intense danger, there's no doubt that a powerful spirit is ahead, and the best course of action is to detour.

Sulu even saw some cracks in the Spirit World.

That's the point where the Spirit World and reality overlap, a place where paranormal events are prone to occur, such as spirits escaping.

"Just as there are beings among humans who can roam the Spirit World, although most naive spirits don't have this ability, some powerful spirits can certainly travel freely between the two realms..."

Sulu sighed, "It's a pity... the 'rules' of reality in the first layer of the Spirit World are still very powerful! This can only be considered as traveling within the Spirit World, not a true time-travel skill!"

He suspected that higher-level spirits could use the special circumstances of the second or even third Spirit World to transfer between higher Spirit World regardless of distance.

In this way, it might only take a few seconds to traverse the distance of several hours in the first layer of the Spirit World.

In the real world, this manifests as an effect similar to spatial teleportation!
