Apparition
Just as Kyle said, ever since he learned that Hagrid had been ambushed, he went to the Room of Requirement and put the two Biting Cabbage into the Mokeskin Pouch.
This leather bag was a Christmas gift from Newt last year. It's a modified version, the kind that, like the trunk, can hold Fantastic Beasts, and plants are no problem either.
It's just a little small.
While escaping, Kyle had secretly placed them in the bushes nearby, intending to set a trap for the witch, but it ended up being used on Oren instead.
It was an unexpected bonus.
On the other side, Oren was rolling around on the ground in a sorry state. His legs were immobile, and this was the only way he could avoid the two rabid, Biting Cabbage.
At the same time, he also had to deal with Kyle's continuous Disarming Charm and stun spells.
"Damn it!"
After Oren deflected another Disarming Charm, he took a bite from the Biting Cabbage before finally unleashing his first spell.
"Incendio!"
Although using the Fire-Making Spell would reveal his location, Oren couldn't care less about that now.
Crimson flames erupted from the wand, and the surfaces of the two Biting Cabbage began to char, quickly becoming still.
"I admit, I underestimated you."
Oren sat on a platform formed from fallen leaves, his eyes devoid of emotion. He raised his hand, and the leaves transformed into sharp blades, whistling as they flew towards Kyle.
"Confringo!" Kyle pointed his wand at the ground.
The violent explosion was followed by a sky full of smoke and dust.
"Blocking my view?" Oren sneered. "Not a bad idea, but where can you hide?"
Blades rained down into the dust and smoke; under such a dense area of attack, he didn't even need to know Kyle's location.
Oren's lips curled slightly. "The end..."
"Stupefy!"
A voice suddenly came from behind, and Oren's heart tightened. He recognized it; it was Kyle's voice.
But how could this be? Why is Kyle behind me?!
Oren roared inwardly, but it was too late for him to turn back.
"Bang!"
A dull thud followed.
A green creature appeared behind Oren like an open umbrella, shielding him from the almost certain Stunning Spell.
Kyle felt a sweetness in his chest, and, gritting his teeth, he suppressed his discomfort and said, "The Swooping Evil... it didn't chase after Kanna!"
"Heh, who told you it went after that little girl?" Oren turned his head and said playfully, "I was just letting you guess where it is."
"First, Biting Cabbage, then you used Apparition in battle... I must say, you've really given me a lot of surprises today, Kyle!"
"Compared to you, I practically wasted my first year. As a reward, I've decided to spare your life. You can leave now..."
"Spare my life..." Kyle laughed. "Do you think you can kill me?"
Oren remained silent. He hadn't said anything before, but now it was clear he wouldn't be able to kill Kyle so easily.
Although there was still a chance if he continued to fight to the bitter end, the people from the Ministry of Magic were arriving soon, and he didn't have much time left.
But Oren didn't want to leave just like that.
He failed to kill an eleven-year-old wizard and was instead forced to retreat? If this got out, his reputation would be completely ruined.
"You're really not leaving?"
"We can't leave." Kyle shrugged, teasing the Billywig that had just landed on his shoulder.
Five minutes ago, he would have turned and run without a word, but now it's different; he can't swallow this insult.
He was threatened, deceived, and mocked... He had never suffered such a loss in his life. He wouldn't be at peace unless he got revenge.
Besides, he's not the one in a hurry now; this is the Forbidden Forest...
"You're asking for it!" Oren's lips twitched wildly; that Billywig was the same one he had thrown away before!
Oren raised his wand, and a green light began to gather at the tip. "Avada Kedavra..."
"Call out!"
An arrow whistled through the air, and Oren had to withdraw his wand to avoid having his arm pierced.
"Da da da..."
The sound of rapid hoofbeats came from afar, and a group of centaurs rushed out of the bushes, longbows in hand, aiming sharp arrows at Kyle and Oren.
It was mainly Oren, because the centaurs recognized Kyle.
Firenze stepped forward warily. "You're a student from that castle. Why are you here? And who is he?"
"A dark wizard!"
Kyle said quickly, "He's the one who stole the Unicorn cub, and he even used the Unforgivable Curses!"
The next second, all the centaurs' arrows were aimed at Oren.
At the same time, a series of explosions began to ring out one after another in the surrounding area.
The Ministry of Magic personnel have arrived.
"You're lucky!" Oren suddenly laughed. "Alright, I concede."
He tossed a cloth bag to Kyle, inside which was the Unicorn cub.
The little golden Unicorn was curled up there quietly, seemingly asleep.
"It's you!" A Hit Wizard stepped forward, gritting his teeth as he said, "Oren Morris!"
He was the Hit Wizard captain who was tasked with arresting Hagrid.
"We meet again, my brave and kind Hit Wizard."
Oren smiled and said, "You clearly had a chance to catch me last time, but you didn't. I'm grateful that you let me go... Oh, sorry, I forgot that you idiots only know about the Swooping Evil and haven't figured out who I am at all."
Well then, thank you for canceling, brave Hit Wizard, sir.
"You're not getting away this time!"
Had pointed his wand at Oren and said in a deep voice, "I will personally send you to Azkaban. I wonder if you will still be able to laugh when you face the Dementor."
"Sorry, I don't like Dementor. Can I not go?"
Oren sighed and said, "If possible, I'd rather stay at Hogwarts. Being the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts is quite interesting."
"That's not up to you!"
Had waved his hand, and all the Hit Wizard simultaneously raised their wands.
"Stupefy!"
"Expelliarmus!"
"Incarcerous!"
More than a dozen spells flew toward Oren from all directions.
"What a pity, I haven't graded the exam yet..."
Oren sighed again, and the platform made of fallen leaves beneath him collapsed instantly.
Without support, Oren's body began to fall, which allowed him to escape all the curses.
The next second...
"Smack!"
The familiar explosion echoed through the Forbidden Forest, but Oren's figure had vanished.
