The Greatest Alchemist
If there's one thing Umbridge can't stand the most, it's probably being ignored.
She climbed to her current position step by step because she enjoyed the feeling of being the center of attention and the awe-inspiring gazes of others.
Now, if she takes just one more step forward, she can sit in the position of deputy minister and become the number two person in the Ministry of Magic.
Those people actually called her "a passerby from the Ministry of Magic"—don't they know their place?
Umbridge could not accept this insult; her whole body trembled with rage.
"I am Dolores Umbridge!" Umbridge said in a shrill voice, "Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and a member of the Wizengamot!"
"So you're a director." Kyle looked somewhat uneasy, shifting his feet slightly in place. "So, you can take responsibility for what you just said, right?"
Umbridge raised her head, "When..."
"Ahem, I don't think Dolores meant that."
Fudge interrupted Umbridge with a dry cough, interjecting, "She's just too worried about the child. After all, a young wizard shouldn't try to defeat Werewolf; running away is the wisest choice."
"Of course, I completely agree with you, Cornelius."
Dumbledore. "And what she just said about expulsion..."
"Of course I'm joking. The Ministry of Magic wouldn't fire a little hero who just saved so many people."
Fudge chuckled and said, "Dolores just wanted to remind the kid this way so he wouldn't be so reckless next time, right...?"
Fudge glanced subtly to the side.
Umbridge immediately understood. She gave a fake smile and continued in her sweet voice, "Yes, Minister, I am honored that you understand what I mean."
These young wizards are too arrogant. They just got lucky and got good grades, and now they think they can defeat Werewolf?
He needs to learn a lesson, to know what he should and shouldn't do, so that he can live longer.
"I'll remember that, ma'am." Kyle also wore a fake smile. "By the way, you look really young for your age in those clothes."
Umbridge glanced down at her pink cardigan, not thinking much of it, assuming Kyle was just flattering her, and walked away with her head held high.
Dean Sacia, standing nearby, curled the corners of his lips slightly and glanced at Kyle with interest.
She could tell that the child was mocking the Ministry of Magic official for pretending to be young.
But that's also true.
Soon, the Auror returned.
"Rufus, how are you?" Fudge asked.
"He's Werewolf," Scrimgeour whispered. "And he only moved into St Mungo's's yesterday."
"It really is Werewolf ..." Fudge frowned, nervously fiddling with his hat.
He simply couldn't imagine the panic that would be caused if word got out that Werewolf could transform during the day.
He'll definitely face criticism as Minister for Magic.
No, this absolutely cannot get out.
Fudge's gaze slowly hardened, as if he had made up his mind.
"Minister, let me take this child to rest first."
At this moment, Dean Sacia walked over and pointed to a young healer beside her, saying, "Auror, if you have any questions, you can ask Hippocrates. He will do his best to cooperate with you."
Fudge glanced at her, then at Dumbledore, and nodded. "Oh, it's alright, you two go ahead."
"Then please excuse me."
The sixth floor of St Mungo's's houses a tea room and shops.
Dean Sacia led Kyle and Dumbledore to a private room and ordered them each a cup of black tea.
Dumbledore took a sip and said with some surprise, "It's my favorite flavor. I thought you'd forgotten."
"Five sugar cubes, I'll always remember that."
Dean Sacia said calmly, "If nothing unexpected happens, our minister will probably take that Werewolf away."
Dumbledore put down his cup. "Cornelius is sometimes like that; he gets too nervous when things happen."
"Alright, let me tell you what I know first."
Dean Sacia continued, "That person arrived at St Mungo's's yesterday afternoon, claiming to have been scratched by Werewolf. However, out of caution, the healers arranged for him to be placed in a special ward and cared for by a dedicated person."
Last night happened to be a full moon night, and he didn't turn into Werewolf, which is why he was transferred to a regular ward.
St Mungo's has a well-established procedure. In special cases like Werewolf, they definitely won't live with other people unless it can be confirmed that they are not infected.
That's why the Werewolf ran out from next door.
Kyle nodded in understanding.
Nothing happened on the night of the full moon, but Werewolf transformed during the day... This is indeed a bit unbelievable. I guess even the healers didn't expect this to happen.
"Is this considered a mutation?" Kyle asked.
"Probably not."
Dean Sacia's expression was somewhat serious. "When I arrived just now, I smelled a very peculiar Potions scent in that Werewolf's blood."
"Potions?"
"Yes, and it does resemble Wolfsbane Potion." Dean Sacia frowned, thought for a moment, and then said, "But unlike normal Wolfsbane Potion, it contains howling grass... and some other things."
Howling Grass...
Kyle knows about this.
Just like there's a branch of Dark Magic in spells, there's also one in herbalism... Howling Grass is one of them.
Aside from cursed poisons, it's completely unnecessary for normal Potions.
To put it simply, if Auror were to detect howling grass in a Potions, the wizard who possessed the Potions would have to spend at least a year in Azkaban.
Kyle looked at Dean Sacia across from him and exclaimed in amazement, "You can tell what Potions he drank just by smelling it?"
"Wolfsbane Potion and Howling Grass are special," Sacia explained. "They can permeate the soul, so they stay there longer."
"Kyle, you probably don't know this, but Pegasus is one of the greatest apothecaries of the last two hundred years."
At this moment, Dumbledore leaned close to Kyle and whispered, "I've always wanted her to teach Potions at Hogwarts, but she feels that St Mungo's's needs her more."
Although Dumbledore tried to lower his voice, it was no use in the cramped room.
"Albus... why are you saying all this?"
Dean Sacia said with a hint of helplessness, "Horace Slughorn is also one of the greatest apothecaries... and that young man named Snape, his talent is not much less than mine."
"It's different, Pegasus," Dumbledore a sip of his tea. "You can never have too many good professors."
