What would happen if a wizard faced a fully grown Wampus Cat without using a wand or any magic...? No one knows better than Kyle to answer that question.

He's been in Dorset for a week now, and all he's done these days, except for eating and sleeping, is get beaten up.

The Wampus Cat's blue eyes could see right through Kyle's every thought.

So no matter how he tried to dodge, those paws with pink pads would always appear precisely in front of Kyle, and then slap him lightly or heavily.

The degree of force depends primarily on Kyle's application of the Occlumency.

The method for determining this is also very simple.

If the Wampus Cat's vision is blurry, it will only lightly pat the object and move on; otherwise, it will mercilessly kick Kyle into the lake.

A couple of days ago, Kyle was doing a long dive almost every few minutes, and his clothes were always soaking wet.

However, as the days went by, Kyle dived less and less.

A week later, when the Wampus Cat's paws struck again, they were much lighter. Kyle only staggered slightly, then straightened up as if nothing had happened.

"Very good, Kyle. Remember, you must clear your mind of all those chaotic thoughts and emotions."

Beside her, Tina, who was providing support from the sidelines, held a tiny Niffler and said loudly, "Don't worry about what you're going to go through next. Stay calm and focus on the present!"

Unlike Chris and Newt, who never came, Tina would come here every day for a while, and when she noticed Kyle getting anxious or overly emotional, she would offer a few words of advice.

Upon hearing her words, Kyle quickly turned his head and gave a thumbs-up.

The Wampus Cat opposite tilted its head, a hint of surprise on its face.

Clearly, it didn't "see" Kyle's action just now, otherwise it would have slapped him already.

Tina slightly raised her eyebrows, as if she had noticed something.

After leaving the box, she returned to the room and found Newt fiddling with a cauldron.

"I think you can write to Chris now."

"So fast?"

Newt looked up in surprise and asked, "It's only been a week, and he's already able to withstand Naddali's Legilimency?"

"Almost done." Tina put the Niffler aside and said with a smile, "Naddali isn't as leisurely as she was at the beginning, and she's moving much faster now."

I can tell that she's attacking purely on instinct, not through Legilimency.

It's just that neither Kyle nor she realized that.

Wampus Cat are ultimately Fantastic Beasts. Even if it's just a physical instinct, they will subconsciously believe that they "saw" something, only it's rather blurry.

"It seems Dumbledore was right, Kyle is indeed a very talented boy. I thought he would need to stay here for half a month."

Newt stood up, brushed the herb crumbs off his clothes, and said with a grin, "Then I'll write to Chris now and ask him to come and take Kyle back."

"Um... wait a minute." Tina suddenly asked, "Did they say they had anything to do recently?"

"Probably not," Newt thought for a moment and said, "I remember when Chris left, he said he would pick Kyle up before school started to go shopping in Diagon Alley."

Tina for a moment and said, "In that case, there's no need to rush. Let Kyle stay here for a few more days; it's been a long time since I've seen him."

"Um... didn't you just ask me to write a letter?" Newt scratched his head and said.

Tina didn't say anything, but just glared at him with a stern face.

"Okay, whatever you say." Newt squatted back down in front of the crucible and added some white powder into it.

The liquid in the crucible quickly turned a beautiful light yellow and emitted a wisp of pink smoke.

Beside it, the little Niffler, who was stuffing a spoon into its inner bag, suddenly stopped what it was holding. It sniffed, stared intently at the crucible, and drool dripped from the corner of its mouth.

It seemed that the contents of the crucible held a great attraction for it.

Niffler's black eyes darted around, and it huffed and puffed as it climbed onto a nearby shelf. Then, finding the right angle, it pushed off with its short legs and was about to jump into the crucible.

While it was still in mid-air, a large hand caught it.

"No, it's not the right time yet. Be patient."

Newt shook his head at it and said, "Also, don't hide the spoon. Take it out now."

Little Niffler slapped his pocket shut and started to run away on his remaining three short legs.

"That won't do."

Newt pinched the Niffler's hind leg and gently scratched its belly with his fingers.

Amidst a series of clinking and jingling sounds, several small trinkets fell out of Niffler's pocket.

In addition to the spoon from before, there were three Knut, a button, and a whistle that appeared out of nowhere.

Even Newt didn't notice when it put these things in.

At dinner time, Kyle emerged wearily from the box.

Tina handed him a towel and asked, "How are you feeling?"

"Not so good." Kyle wiped his face. "I don't feel any progress compared to yesterday."

"This is normal," Tina said with a smile. "Besides, you can't rush learning Occlumency. You've been practicing non-stop for a week now, so taking a break is a good idea."

"That makes sense." Kyle nodded.

After being beaten up for so long, he felt he really needed to do something else to distract himself.

"How about you bake cookies with me tomorrow?" Tina said with a smile. "We can practice in the afternoon."

"Okay." Kyle agreed without hesitation.

Although he would rather see the other Fantastic Beasts in the box, baking cookies would be fine too, as long as he didn't have to face that Wampus Cat named Naddali.

Just then, Newt suddenly walked over and said, "Can the cookies be grapefruit flavored?"

"Of course," Tina said with a smile.

She was a little surprised; she had made grapefruit-flavored cookies the day they settled in Dorset, and she hadn't expected Newt to remember.

"Thank you." Newt washed his hands, sat down at the table, picked up a piece of bread, and said, "I remember Arnar loved grapefruit."

"..."

Tina's smile vanished instantly.

"Sorry..." she said expressionlessly, "I suddenly remembered that we don't have any grapefruits at home, so I've decided to make butter cookies tomorrow."

"Huh?" Newt scratched his head and said, "But you just said..."

"Crunch~"

Tina clenched the spoon in her hand, her face darkening. "I'll say it again, there are no grapefruits left in the house!"
