The Great Savior Cedric
On the first day of the new school year, Fred and George immediately became the center of attention.
Even back in the common room, the young wizards' conversation still revolved around the two of them.
Do you think the Weasley brothers can actually sell those candies?
Cedric sat on the sofa and asked with some skepticism, "Professor McGonagall probably won't agree, will she?"
"Making a big fuss is definitely not an option," Kyle thought for a moment and said, "But as long as we don't get caught, it'll be fine. The school even forbids bringing Dungbomb and Filibuster's Fireworks into the castle, but haven't you seen enough of those things?"
Professors are usually very busy; they don't have time to deal with such trivial matters.
"This isn't the same," Cedric said, frowning.
He remembered the Weasley brothers telling him before school started that the candy was for helping young wizards skip class... How could the professor ignore that?
Kyle shrugged, indicating he didn't know either.
However, based on his understanding of Fred and George, the two of them had probably already come up with a solution.
Moreover, unless they are caught red-handed, the professors probably won't suspect Fred and George.
They would simply assume that this candy was a product of Zonko's or some other joke shop, and ultimately classify Ton-Tongue Toffee as a prohibited item.
Hmm... that's probably how it will be.
As a regular feature of Hufflepuff, catching up on homework after the start of the school year is definitely an essential part of the experience.
As the common room filled up, Kyle and Cedric returned to their respective dorm rooms, giving up their spots to the students who wanted to create miracles.
Their dormitory was the same as last year's, except there was a sign on the door that read "Second Year".
The room's furnishings were exactly the same and very clean, probably because the House-elf had cleaned it beforehand.
Kyle lay in bed, looking at everything familiar before him, and his consciousness quickly faded.
Because he went to bed early, Kyle got up early the next day and went to the Seventh Floor of the castle alone.
Because the Room of Requirement can perfectly simulate the natural environment, and the Mooncalf fertilizes it regularly every day, the flowerbed is still in good condition even though Kyle hasn't tended to it for two months.
However, there will definitely be changes.
The most obvious one is the Devil's Snare, because it is closest to the Mooncalf's lair. It is much larger than it was two months ago, and its tendrils have become almost as thick as a wrist, and their color is also darker.
Also, the Biting Cabbage planted before the holiday have already sprouted, with fist-sized mouths opening and closing. Kyle estimates that they will start growing teeth in another week or two.
The Dittany and Rue are also growing well, forming a lush, green patch.
The Mooncalf is sleeping.
Billywig was frolicking in the sky when it saw Kyle, and immediately flew over, swinging the propeller on its head.
Kyle instinctively took a step back, gave it a brief greeting, and then left the Room of Requirement.
The little guy seems a bit too excited today, flying around Kyle wildly, completely forgetting that he still has a poison needle on him.
Kyle didn't want to get stung.
After leaving the Room of Requirement, Kyle came down the stairs and returned to the Great Hall.
The Great Hall was already quite full, with people gathered in small groups, whispering among themselves as they looked toward the Gryffindor dining table.
"It's over there, look!"
Which way?
"The one next to that tall, red-haired boy, the one wearing glasses."
"Harry Potter!"
"Did you see his face... that scar!"
Harry seemed uncomfortable with the stares; he kept his head down and quickly ate his breakfast.
Kyle walked to the Hufflepuff table.
Fred and George were there too; they were talking to Cedric.
"Homework, Cedric, you have to save us."
Fred said pitifully, "I didn't expect to have Potions Class on the first day of the new school year. If I don't hand in my homework on time..."
George shuddered and said, "Snape will definitely kill us."
"I can lend you my homework," Cedric said, "But class is about to start, are you sure you can catch up now?"
"There should be enough time."
Fred nodded repeatedly, saying, "Our Potions Class isn't until the second period, so we can finish writing it during Divination Class."
"Alright then," Cedric thought for a moment and said, "I'll get it for you after breakfast."
"Thank you so much!"
Fred and George looked at Cedric with gratitude.
"You saved our lives!"
Cedric simply smiled slightly; he had already saved many people since last night.
Kyle sat down next to the Weasley brothers and asked curiously, "Did you choose the Divination Class?"
"Divination and Care of Magical Creatures."
Fred said, "We definitely have to take the Divination Class. Charlie said it's easy to get a high score in it, and the classes are very relaxed."
"As long as we make ourselves sound miserable when Professor Trelawney asks us questions, we can do whatever we like."
George said, "I suggest you take Divination Class next year; it's a godsend for students."
"That's definitely something we can consider."
Kyle looked at the two of them, hesitated for a moment, and then suddenly said, "If possible, I suggest you choose another Ancient Runes."
Why do you say that?
Fred asked doubtfully, "I heard this course is very difficult."
"It's extremely difficult," George frowned. "Percy spent most of his vacation time watching this."
That's true.
Kyle nodded and said, "But haven't you always wanted to open a joke shop? Ancient Runes are a great help to alchemy."
alchemy?
Fred and George exchanged a glance; they somewhat understood what Kyle meant.
Those joke products are also alchemical items; if that's the case, then the Ancient Runes would indeed be very useful to them.
"Kyle, why are you only telling me now? It's so important." George scratched his head and said.
Course selection is now closed, and if they want to take Ancient Runes, they'll have to ask Professor McGonagall to add an extra course.
Just three elective courses... that would undoubtedly take up a lot of time, and if they really went to Professor McGonagall to apply, they wouldn't be able to do what they like during the week.
But opening their own joke shop has always been their dream, and if the Ancient Runes are really helpful to alchemy, then they definitely can't give it up.
The two were immediately caught in a dilemma.
"How about we go and discuss it with Professor McGonagall?"
After a moment's thought, George tentatively asked, "Do you think she'll agree to us switching the Care of Magical Creatures to Ancient Runes?"
Sorry, I just got back from outside last night and forgot to schedule the post.
Bang bang bang... Please forgive me!
