Professor McGonagall would probably accept adding just one course, but changing courses... to be honest, Kyle felt it was unlikely.

However, seeing the hopeful looks on Fred and George's faces, he simply shrugged and said nothing.

Let them give it a try; if Professor McGonagall is in a good mood today, she might agree.

The first lesson of the year was still Charms. After leaving the Great Hall, Kyle said goodbye to the Weasley brothers and Cedric and went to the fourth floor of the castle alone.

As Kyle reached the second floor, he suddenly saw two freshmen pacing around on the stairs.

Harry and Ron.

They paced around the two fake staircases, pacing anxiously on the second floor.

Kyle watched for a while, then couldn't help but ask, "What are you doing... exercising?"

Ron suddenly turned around, as if he had seen a savior, and grabbed Harry as they ran over.

"We need to get to the Transfiguration Class classroom, but we're lost," he asked breathlessly. "Can you tell us how to get there?"

"Come with me," Kyle said. "I'm going to the fourth floor too."

"Thank God!" Ron said with a relieved expression.

"Th-thank you." Harry glanced at Kyle somewhat awkwardly.

"It's nothing, I just happened to be going that way."

Kyle led the two to the correct stairs and asked with some confusion, "Didn't you two buy a map of Hogwarts?"

Upon hearing this, Ron's face flushed red, and he lowered his head without saying a word.

Harry said somewhat embarrassedly, "Twenty Galleon is too expensive, we... we can't afford it."

Although he had piles of gold in his vault, he didn't bring much with him to school this time. After deducting the money for buying wands and books, he had exactly twenty-odd Galleon left.

School has only just started, and there's still a long way to go, so Harry naturally doesn't want to spend all his money on maps.

"That's not what I meant." Kyle led them around a corner and said, "There are two kinds of maps, one that costs twenty Galleon, and another cheaper one that costs ten Sickle ... What, didn't Fred and George tell you?"

Harry and Ron were both stunned.

Kyle's comment reminded Harry of a flyer about a map that was indeed posted on the door of the common room.

However, both he and Ron subconsciously assumed it was the kind they had seen on the train, and neither of them looked closely.

Thinking of this, Harry's face immediately scrunched up, filled with remorse.

If only he had looked more closely then, he could have afforded ten Sickle.

"We're here. The Transfiguration Class classroom is over there."

Upon reaching the fourth floor, Kyle pointed in a direction and then took something from his pocket and handed it to Harry.

"Consider this a small gift."

Harry looked down and realized he had two maps in his hand, and a bag of... dried fish?

"What is this?" Ron asked.

"It looks like cat food," Harry said. "Does Kyle have a cat?"

Ron thought for a moment and said, "He does have one."

Harry looked up quickly and shouted, "Kyle, you gave us an extra bag of cat food!"

"I'll give them to you too!"

Kyle, seemingly eager to get to class, said without turning his head, "I have plenty of that stuff. You can take it back and feed it to the owl."

As he spoke, he turned a corner and disappeared at the end of the corridor.

this...

Harry stood there, holding the bag of dried fish, stunned.

"Hurry up, Harry, class is about to start."

Ron suddenly tugged at him and said urgently, "That's Professor McGonagall's class, we'd better not be late."

"Okay, okay."

Coming to his senses, Harry put the dried fish in his pocket and followed Ron as they ran in the other direction.

By this time, Kyle had already entered the Charms class.

On the first day of the new school year, Professor Flitwick did not immediately teach new material. Instead, he led them through a review of the spells they had learned the previous year.

He spent half a class period checking everyone's Levitation Charm and Softening Charm, and only returned to the platform made of stacked books after confirming that most people could cast these two spells skillfully.

"Today we'll learn the universal antidote, which can neutralize the effects of ordinary spells... Watch my movements carefully. When you swing your wand, make sure it's firm and your voice is clear... Finite Incantatem!"

After Charms class, Kyle took History of Magic.

In the afternoon, there were two consecutive Potions Class by Snape.

Just like last year, Snape still didn't give Kyle a friendly look.

"Who gave you permission to whisper among yourselves while brewing Potions?"

Snape stood next to Kyle, his face grim, and said, "If you're not going to study yourself, don't influence others. Hufflepuff, one point deducted."

Then he looked at Kanna.

"The lionfish bones were handled well, Hufflepuff gets a point."

Kyle looked at Snape with a calm expression.

He was already used to the professor's double standards, and compared to previous years when he started with a score of five, this year was actually not bad.

The first day of the new school year has come to an end. Although some classes were not very pleasant, it was still quite fulfilling overall.

night.

The library on the second floor of the castle was very quiet, without a sound. The tall bookshelves blocked the moonlight streaming through the windows, making it seem much darker than the rest of the place.

"Creak..."

Suddenly, the door opened a crack, just wide enough for a person to walk in.

"Tap tap..."

After the doors closed again, a clear footstep could be heard inside the library.

"Tsk, Filch is way too dedicated."

Kyle dispelled the Disillusionment Charm and patted his chest, still feeling a bit shaken.

Just now, when we were on the stairs, Filch suddenly appeared from some corner and almost brushed past him.

Kyle also noticed that Mrs. Norris stopped inexplicably as she passed by him and glanced at him with a puzzled look.

Kyle guessed that it must have discovered something unusual, but it wasn't quite sure yet.

Fortunately, Filch seemed to be chasing someone at the time, and at his urging, Mrs. Norris left quickly.

"It seems that relying solely on the Disillusionment Charm isn't entirely reliable for nighttime outings. I'll need to find some time to look for a spell that can mask my scent."

Kyle composed himself and walked straight towards the Restricted Section.

He remembered the book that detailed Horcrux; it was probably called "The Magick Moste Evile."

Kyle suddenly felt a headache coming on.

Although the Restricted Section only occupies a small part of the library, it still contains several thousand books.

Finding the book "Magick Moste Evile" precisely within this collection without using magic is no easy task.

Hopefully, we can find it tonight.

Kyle sighed, then lit his wand and walked into the rows of bookshelves.
