Veritaserum Mixed into the Potion
"What did you say... there's an empty room under the Trapdoor?"
The next morning, when Fred and George learned about it from Kyle, their expressions were exactly the same as Cedric's.
Shock, disbelief, disbelief.
Because of the Trapdoor incident, they didn't sleep well all night. Every time they closed their eyes, the ferocious and terrifying image of the Three-headed Dog would appear in their minds.
They were so curious about what could possibly be worthy of being guarded by Three-headed Dog.
Final exam paper?
Or perhaps it's the Sword of Gryffindor!
The two of them guessed all night, and only managed to get a short nap as dawn broke.
Now, Kyle is telling them that there are just a few empty rooms under the Trapdoor?
Fred and George found it hard to accept.
What happened to the adventure? What happened to the challenges? So Dumbledore just found a place in the castle to keep dogs?
This is such a perfunctory job; they can't just fool people like this.
"Those rooms can't stay empty forever," Kyle patted Fred on the shoulder, comforting him. "I think it's just that the professors are too busy since it's the beginning of the semester and haven't had time to decorate."
We can go again sometime later, like during Halloween or the Christmas holidays."
"You're right," Fred sighed. "It looks like we won't need to go there anytime soon, which is a good opportunity to look for the last word of the password."
"I think we should forget about it," Cedric said, putting down his Pumpkin Juice. "Hogwarts is so big, you might not even be able to find everything by the time you graduate."
"No, it won't."
George shook his head and said, "The creators of the Marauder's Map wouldn't hide password clues in meaningless places."
"The first password clue we found was on Filch's office door... that's a place only people in solitary confinement would go."
"And on the walls and pillars of the Trophy Room..."
"The common rooms of the four colleges..."
"The tallest tower in the castle..."
"In short, they are all representative or unique aspects," George said thoughtfully, stroking his chin. "And we can vaguely sense that we are very close to the final answer, only separated by a thin layer of parchment."
"Is that so..." Cedric shrugged, neither confirming nor denying.
He thought that the clue to this last password might not exist at all, or that it was just a prank.
However, Fred and George did not believe this claim at all.
Soon, the messenger arrived.
A large flock of owls flew into the Great Hall, among which six robust long-eared owls attracted everyone's attention.
They carried a long, thin package across the dining table and came to a Slytherin student.
Without hesitation, the man opened the package on the spot, revealing a brand-new Nimbus 2000.
"That's right, the new Nimbus 2000, the same model used by professional Quidditch teams!"
Amidst the envious gazes of a large group of young wizards, he proclaimed with obvious pride, "My father brought this especially to celebrate my joining the Slytherin Quidditch Team this year."
However, in my opinion, this is completely unnecessary. Even without this best broom in the Wizarding World, I can still defeat everyone with ease."
His voice was so loud that it could be heard in almost half the Great Hall.
Kyle turned and glanced at him.
I don't know him.
"Hey, look at Marcus Flint."
Fred's reminder made Kyle notice that Marcus's face was very grim, or rather, everyone on the Slytherin Quidditch Team looked grim.
Perhaps the name Nimbus 2000 reminded them of some unpleasant experiences, because everyone stopped what they were doing, staring at the boy who had received the package with unfriendly expressions, and even stopped eating.
There's been Gryffindor as well.
Neville received a Remembrall, which is a valuable alchemical item and quite rare.
The main problem is that this thing is notoriously useless in the Wizarding World; it only reminds you that you've forgotten something, but doesn't show the specifics... which is really frustrating.
In addition, Remembrall are not cheap, costing over a hundred Galleon, which is enough to deter most curious wizards.
Kyle also received a package.
It was a small box, about the size of a palm, with a layer of kraft paper on the outside.
After delivering the package, the owl also left a letter.
"As agreed before, I have delivered what you needed. I hope it's not too late."
I wish you great success in Potions making.
(Your Order of Merlin has been reviewed, but you will have to wait a little longer.)
--Pegasus Sacia.
Did Headmaster Sacia of St Mungo's's send over the Potions?
Kyle's eyes lit up.
"What's that?" Fred asked curiously, seeing Kyle's excited expression. "What did you buy?"
"No, it was Potions given to me by someone else."
"Potions?"
"Hmm." Kyle hesitated for a moment before saying, "I ran into some trouble at St Mungo's's ... These Potions are compensation from the headmaster of St Mungo's's."
Because of the Ministry of Magic's forceful intervention, the Daily Prophet did not mention Werewolf, only saying that someone had caused a disturbance at St Mungo's's.
So neither Cedric, the Weasley brothers, nor Kanna knew that he had encountered a Werewolf during the summer vacation.
To avoid worrying them, Kyle didn't tell them himself.
"I see..." Fred wasn't interested in Potions, so he casually picked up a copy of the Daily Prophet and started reading.
Cedric and Kanna, however, came over with great interest.
By this time, Kyle had already torn open the parchment, revealing the wooden box inside.
To facilitate transportation, the box was coated with Undetectable Extension Charm, making it appear only the size of a palm from the outside, but revealing a surprisingly large interior space when opened.
Bottles of various sizes were neatly arranged inside, numbering about fifty or sixty. On the side of the box, there was a separate area where some materials needed to brew Potions were placed.
"This is Ashwinder Egg... and petals of a deer antler flower..." Kanna exclaimed in surprise.
She had seen these things in Professor Snape's office; they were all tightly sealed and placed on the top shelf, and they were all extremely precious Potions ingredients.
You could just pick any one of these and put it in Diagon Alley, and it would sell for hundreds of Galleon.
Kyle glanced at the materials and then turned his attention back to the Potions.
He noticed that the quantity of these Potions was a bit off.
There are too many.
In addition to what was previously agreed upon, Dean Sacia gave him some extra gifts.
For some reason, Kyle even found Veritaserum in the corner of the box.
