"I'm telling you, if you want to fish, go to Black Lake, don't just Niffler around here."

In the common room, Kanna watched Kyle teasing the Niffler with a twig and a red stone, and said irritably, "Can't you just give it that broken stone?"

"This isn't some broken stone, it's Philosopher's Stone!" Kyle corrected her.

"Yeah, a stone conjured by magic..." Kanna pouted. "I saw you smash it last night. It was just an ordinary pebble. Is this how you always fool the Niffler?"

"Don't put it so harshly," Kyle retorted. "It's just a form of entertainment; look how much fun they're having!"

Kanna raised an eyebrow. She glanced at the Niffler, which was jumping around on its short legs, and couldn't understand where Kyle got the idea that it was happy.

It's so anxious it's almost speaking human language!

Kanna sighed, took out a Galleon and waved it in front of the little guy, trying to get its attention.

The Galleon, who usually can't resist the Niffler of Galleons, didn't even glance at her this time, its eyes still fixed on the red stone in Kyle's hand.

Unwilling to give up, Kanna took out a second one, but it still didn't work.

"Save your breath, my stone is much shinier Galleon's."

Kyle grabbed the Niffler by the scruff of its neck and tossed it back into the box, saying, "Besides, you've given it fifteen Galleon these past few days... I have to remind you, Niffler is definitely not a good wallet."

"Mind your own business!" Kanna blushed, embarrassed and angry. "Besides, those Galleon were given to the Niffler by me, you can't just take them!"

"Ahem... I'm not that kind of person." Kyle's face stiffened, then he said, "But then again, shouldn't you be going to Professor Snape for tutoring right now? Why are you still in the common room?"

"I passed Professor Snape's test yesterday and successfully brewed the Draught of Living Death... so tutoring is over."

"So you're alright now?" Kyle pulled out a chessboard and placed it on the table, saying, "Want to play a game of Wizard's Chess?"

"Okay..." Kanna nodded.

She didn't have many friends at Hogwarts, and both Cho and her roommates had gone home.

Since I'm just killing time anyway, playing chess is a good way to pass the time.

"But let's get this straight, I'm not very good at chess, so you can't complain about me... Wait, is this Wizard's Chess?"

Kanna, who was about to place the chess pieces, looked down and suddenly froze.

Because what she saw were not the chess pieces from her memory, but different Fantastic Beasts.

At the very front was a row of Niffler, followed by Troll, Hippogriff, Swooping Evil, Three-headed Dog, and Dragon.

"Well, I had some free time after finishing my homework, so I did some minor modifications to them," Kyle explained. "It was just a slight change in appearance; it wasn't difficult."

Kanna raised her head and looked at Kyle with a wistful gaze.

And then, after finishing your homework, you have nothing to do... Listen to that, is that even human language?

She had to catch up on classes for a full ten days, and she even had homework to do!

Doesn't Kyle feel any remorse saying that to her face?

"Why are you looking at me... You're black, you should move first," Kyle urged.

Kanna glared at him angrily before looking back at the chessboard.

By this time, the "Fantastic Beasts" had already taken their places, Kanna quickly guessed what they represented.

The two played three rounds in the common room, after which Kyle tried to run away.

What Kanna said before was so unbelievable; her chess skills are far from average... they're just mediocre.

If it were just about cooking, that would be fine; after all, it's fun to occasionally beat some weaker opponents.

The problem is that she has to think for a long time before each move... What should have been a five-minute game has dragged on for more than half an hour.

In the end, Kyle lost all interest in playing chess; just sitting there felt like torture.

He wanted to run away; he was willing to do anything as long as he didn't play chess with Kanna, even rewriting his homework.

But Kanna disagreed and insisted on dragging him down until noon.

To avoid her, after lunch, Kyle decisively left the castle and went to Hagrid's Hut to spend the afternoon.

There he also met Harry and Ron.

Ron told them that Harry had been having nightmares lately, and they came to see if Hagrid could help with that.

"So why don't you go to the Hospital Wing to see Madam Pomfrey?" Kyle asked, puzzled.

Kyle really couldn't understand Harry and Ron's thought process. In his opinion, the only way Hagrid could get rid of nightmares was to punch Harry unconscious.

Or are all freshmen these days taking such unconventional approaches?

"I...I don't want to go to the Hospital Wing ..." Harry said softly.

He knew, of course, that Madam Pomfrey at the Hospital Wing was more professional Hagrid, but he worried that if he went to the Hospital Wing, they would ask him about the content of his nightmares.

For some reason, Harry didn't want too many people to know this.

"I'm sorry Harry, I can't help you." Hagrid poured them some tea and Rock Cake, and said, "Kyle is right, you should go straight to the Hospital Wing. I went there when I couldn't sleep before, Madam Pomfrey took care of it in just one minute."

"Those medicines really don't taste good, so you'd better be prepared."

"...Okay." Harry felt a little disappointed.

Even though Hagrid said so, he still didn't plan to go to the Hospital Wing.

Maybe I'll stop having nightmares once I get busy with school.

With that thought in mind, Harry picked up a piece of Rock Cake and began to eat it in small bites.

"If you really don't want to go to the Hospital Wing, I have an idea. Would you like to try it?"

Kyle took out a bottle of Potions and placed it on the table.

"What is this?" Ron asked.

"The Draught of Living Death, the one Hagrid drank," Kyle said. "Just a small sip can put someone into a deep sleep, so deep that even a Dragon dancing next to them wouldn't wake them."

Harry picked up the bottle, puzzled. "Will this stop me from having nightmares?"

"It should be possible." Kyle nodded.

"Or you can try it first. If you only drink a small sip, you can probably sleep for about an hour. It's not a long time and won't affect your rest at night."

However, there's one thing: its effects are very strong, so you'd better wait until you get back to your dorm before... um.

Before Kyle could finish speaking, he saw Harry open the bottle and drink some of the potion.

What did you just say?

"It's nothing, it doesn't matter." Kyle looked at Ron and said, "You should get ready, Harry Potter probably won't be able to walk back to the dorm by himself."

As if to confirm Kyle's words, the next second, Harry slowly lowered his head and lay back motionless in the chair.
