Newt's Shock

Newt walked into the box with practiced ease and landed in the room.

He looked around and was somewhat surprised to find that Kyle had arranged the place quite well.

The furniture was all arranged neatly, much cleaner than his messy room.

Moreover, the two large bookshelves in the corner of the room were filled with parchment-bound booklets.

As Newt approached, he immediately sensed the traces of the Undetectable Extension Charm on the pages. This indicated that there were far more books inside than he had initially thought.

"What is this...?" he asked curiously.

Kyle's heart skipped a beat... How could he have forgotten about that?

Newt might cover up the illegal Fantastic Beasts for him, but the stuff he copied from the Restricted Section might be a different story.

"It's nothing," Kyle said, trying to sound calm. "Those are just some notes I took in class. I put them here so I can easily refer to them anytime."

"Lecture notes? So many!"

"Oh, and quite a few of them were taken down while reading in the library."

Newt touched the booklets and said softly, "No wonder you received the Order of Merlin... I'm not surprised at all now."

Although Newt was a dropout, even before he was expelled, he was only interested in knowledge related to Fantastic Beasts.

If you remove these "extracurricular knowledge" notes, all his notes combined probably wouldn't be as thick as this one booklet.

"It's nothing, it's all thanks to the Quick-Quotes Quill... Let me show you inside."

Kyle opened a small door and stepped out.

Newt nodded and followed him out of the room. He was then somewhat surprised to find that the space inside was much larger than it had appeared when he handed it over to Kyle.

Newt suddenly noticed a dark, three-headed "rock" sitting right next to the mountain pear tree.

"Three- Three-headed Dog?" Newt's eyelids twitched.

Newt looked up, his expression even more blank.

Dragon?... Or rather, the rare Norwegian Ridgeback!

Newt suddenly felt a sense of absurdity.

It's only been one school year, and it's at Hogwarts. Where did Kyle get all these dangerous creatures?

He suppressed his shock and looked around again.

Oh, and there's a Mountain Troll next to it... but compared to Three-headed Dog and Norwegian Ridgeback, it seems so insignificant.

"These are the... small animals you were talking about?"

Newt asked with a strange expression; he wouldn't be surprised at all if Kyle were expelled from school.

He was expelled from Hogwarts for illegally keeping a ferret with his friends, and the ferret was only a 3X.

And look at Kyle's pets... Dragon and Three-headed Dog, both of which are the most dangerous 5X Fantastic Beasts. If you find just one of them, it would be enough to get him fired ten times over.

Starting with the most dangerous Level 5X creatures, are kids these days really this fierce?

Kyle's eyes darted around as he said, "Um... the Three-headed Dog is about two years old, and the Dragon is not even a year old. Judging from their ages, they are indeed still quite young."

"Like I said before, they were all smuggled in..."

Faced with Newt's "you're definitely going to get fired" look, Kyle quickly explained their origin.

Kyle shrugged and said, "I did send Fluffy back before, but it almost ran out of the Forbidden Forest several times. If Hagrid hadn't found it in time, it might have rushed straight into the castle to find me."

There was no other way; in order not to scare the others, I had to put it inside as well.

Newt clicked his tongue, and even with his vast experience, he was momentarily at a loss for words.

A dozen minutes later, Newt left the box, taking Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback and the Troll with him.

As for Fluffy... it's only staying here temporarily; it will eventually return to the Forbidden Forest.

Although Kyle was very unhappy with the decision and threw a tantrum, begging to be taken away, Kyle still did not agree.

It's not that he doesn't want to, but that he can't. Fluffy is Hagrid's precious treasure; if he were to take him away, Hagrid would go mad.

After finally calming down the aggrieved Fluffy, Kyle and Newt left the box together.

On the way back, Newt suddenly said, "Kyle, I can take care of them for a while, but you can't keep them like this forever."

"Yes, I understand," Kyle said softly. "Next year, I plan to send the Troll back to the Forbidden Forest. After I graduate, I'll also go to Norway and send Norbert back there."

"Are you going by yourself?" Newt asked.

"Yes." Kyle nodded. "I want to give it a try. After all, I was the one who brought it into the box, so it's my job to return it."

Newt remained silent for a moment, then said nothing more.

Kyle is currently a second-year student, and there are still five years until graduation, which isn't a particularly long time. Moreover, the box perfectly conceals the Dragon, and there's no need to worry about it being discovered by others.

After that, the two changed to a lighter topic.

"That's a female dragon, right? Why is she called ' Norbert '?" Newt asked curiously.

"That was Hagrid's name," Kyle said. "I found that it seemed to really like the name, so it didn't change it."

"I see, no wonder..."

After leaving the castle, the two followed a path to the vicinity of the school gate, and a short distance ahead was Hogsmeade Station.

They stopped here.

Of course, Newt wouldn't leave by train; that would be too slow. He could only use Apparition after leaving the school grounds.

The boundary is those two winged warthog statues.

As Newt stepped through the gate, he turned back and gave a final instruction. "It's very important that you don't let them escape from the box while we're at school."
