After Kyle's persuasion and a handful of fresh herbs to soothe him, Fawkes gradually calmed down.

While it was turning its grief into appetite and focusing on eating the herbs, Kyle couldn't resist reaching out and stroking the feathers on its neck.

This was Kyle's first time properly petting a phoenix... Well, the feathers were a bit stiff, not as fluffy and soft as an owl's, but they felt great to the touch.

It's smooth and delicate, with a slight warmth, and feels like Galleon just taken out of a vault.

After finishing the herbs, Fawkes spread his wings and flew towards the window.

Kyle assumed it was heading back.

But to everyone's surprise, Fawkes only flew to the windowsill and stopped, then landed next to Ladon, folded its wings and began to doze off, looking like it was sleepy after a big meal.

Ladon, who was sleeping soundly, was suddenly awakened. It tilted its head and looked at the uninvited guest, and the feathers on its neck immediately stood up.

It raised its paw and moved aside without saying a word, giving Fawkes more space.

Kyle glanced at Ladon expressionlessly, then curled his lip in disdain.

That silly bird, when it's in a bad mood, it'll chase after any other owl and beat them up if they even glance at it.

Why are you so cowardly now!

Seemingly understanding Kyle's gaze... Ladon silently turned his head away, choosing to ignore him.

It wanted to be tough, but the other guy was covered in red fur and looked like a dangerous opponent... Better to avoid trouble, so it held back.

Two birds stood on the windowsill, one on each side, and surprisingly, they looked harmonious.

Kyle sat down at the table, his gaze subtly sweeping over the box not far away.

Judging from Fawkes's expression, he probably isn't planning to go back anytime soon... With him around, I definitely can't get any more tutoring from Riddle.

Although the Phoenix might not be able to recognize the Horcrux, what if it does?

And if it knows this, it's equivalent to Dumbledore knowing it too.

Although Kyle said he would give the diary to Dumbledore, he would wait until it was no longer needed; it wasn't possible now.

If I don't get tutoring, it seems like there's nothing else I can do.

Phoenix doesn't like crowded places, so it definitely won't go outside to play Quidditch with him, but Kyle isn't comfortable leaving it alone at home.

You can't just spend all day looking at Ancient Runes formulas in your room.

His research on Ancient Runes has now passed the initial, rudimentary stage. Without Riddle's help, relying solely on self-study is far too inefficient and somewhat wasteful of time.

As Kyle was thinking this, he inadvertently glanced at the box next to him.

After thinking for a moment, he walked to the windowsill.

"Fawkes, how about I take you out for a walk to clear your head?"

Fawkes opened his eyes.

"Newt Scamander ...I think you should know where he lives," Kyle asked.

Fawkes nodded.

Basically, it knows everything Dumbledore knows; otherwise, it wouldn't have been sent to deliver a message to Nicolas Flamel.

Newt's place was no exception.

"That's good," Kyle said. "How about you take me there?"

Fawkes looked Kyle up and down, somewhat hesitant.

Kyle thought it didn't want to go, so he quickly held up two fingers.

"Two Cloak Grass, plus a Puffapod."

Fawkes didn't hesitate at all this time. Without saying a word, it flew onto Kyle's shoulder and let out a cry filled with anticipation.

"Wait a mininute."

Kyle quickly grabbed the suitcase and stuffed all his pre-prepared luggage, along with the box, inside. "Okay, now everything's fine..."

Before he could finish speaking, Kyle vanished from the room in an instant, accompanied by a flash of flame-like light.

Ladon, who had just fallen asleep on the windowsill, was woken up again, and this time it was even worse; a strange gust of air blew him right out of the window.

And the force was quite strong, like being kicked by someone.

Ladon tumbled around in the air several times before finally taking off again before crashing to the ground.

No... this is never going to end!

Frustrated, Ladon flapped its wings and returned to the windowsill, ready to confront its owner, only to suddenly realize... the room was empty.

In addition, not only Kyle, but even the "red-haired" guy who came earlier is gone.

All that remained were tables, chairs, and bookshelves blown askew by the wind, and parchment scattered all over the floor.

Ladon flew around the room once, and after making sure no one was around, it returned to the windowsill, swept its wing over the spot where "Red Hair" had been, tucked its neck in, and went back to sleep.

On the other side, the moment Kyle was taken away by Fawkes, Kyle was subjected to intense pressure from all directions, making it impossible for him to breathe.

He was like a ball that had been forcibly rolled into... and Bludger at that, and then pounded on by those rough Beater all day long.

He didn't know how much time had passed before his consciousness returned to his body.

Kyle opened his bloodshot eyes. He felt like vomiting, but his stomach felt like it was being squeezed, and he couldn't vomit at all. He could only gasp for air in the forest that smelled of earth.

"Relax."

Just then, a gentle voice came from the side.

It was Newt who gave Kyle a fruit whose name he didn't know and gestured for him to eat it.

Kyle instinctively took it and put it in his mouth.

The fruit was sour and astringent, like biting into an unripe tomato.

But for some reason, Kyle felt much more comfortable.

"What's this..."

"The fruit of the Sour Green Pod," Newt said with a smile, "Is also the favorite food of the Diricawl. How does it taste?"

"Much better."

Kyle rubbed his ears and said, "I feel like I 'Apparition a hundred times in a row."

"That's how Phoenix travels—simple and brutal. You're already doing pretty well to still be standing."

Newt gave Kyle another fruit, but Kyle didn't eat it; he just smelled it under his nose.

He finally understood that Fawkes's hesitation before wasn't because he didn't want to come here, but because he was worried about whether he could adapt to such an exciting way of traveling.

Unfortunately, he realized it too late, and foolishly lost two Cloak Grass and a Puffapod...

"This kind of travel is probably only something Professor Dumbledore could handle," Kyle muttered to himself.

"In fact..." Newt chuckled and glanced at Kyle, "Although Dumbledore often has to travel to different places to attend various meetings, he usually chooses Apparition or Portkey."

"Only in extremely urgent situations will the power of the phoenix be invoked."

Kyle rubbed his ears again, momentarily at a loss for words. Even Dumbledore couldn't get used to it...

"But you really surprise me."

Newt smiled and led Kyle into the house. "Apart from Dumbledore, Fawkes almost never takes anyone else on trips."
