The Professors' Club
Despite his frantic rush, Kyle managed to dash into the classroom at the last second before class started. Professor McGonagall merely glanced at him and said nothing...
In the third-grade Transfiguration Class, they started learning about animal Transfiguration. Professor McGonagall asked them to transform a button into a beetle, which was the opposite of what they did in the second grade.
Although they both involve beetles and buttons, the difficulty levels are on completely different levels.
After the lesson, only Kyle had completed the requirements. Professor McGonagall, looking at the beetle scurrying around on the table, immediately added fifteen points to Hufflepuff.
As for the others... Kanna conjured a beetle, but the beetle moved very stiffly and couldn't fly, so it could only be considered a half-finished product at best.
Many others simply transformed the buttons into the shape of beetles.
After class, the students began to leave the classroom, but Kyle was stopped by Professor McGonagall.
"Stay here for a bit, I have something to tell you."
"Yes, Professor." Kyle nodded and stopped in his tracks.
After everyone had left the classroom, Professor McGonagall asked with a smile, "Interested in joining my Transfiguration Club?"
"Transfiguration Club?"
"This is a club I run personally," Professor McGonagall explained. "Twice a week, I teach some more advanced material than what we cover in class. Of course, this stuff isn't related to exams; it's just another form of advanced class."
So, are you interested?
"Of course." Kyle nodded without hesitation. "I'd be happy to join."
Professor McGonagall is one of the most powerful Transfiguration masters in the Wizarding World. If she were outside of Hogwarts, even if a spot in her Transfiguration Club were sold for an astronomical price, countless people would be waving bunches of Galleon to compete for it.
Kyle had no reason to refuse.
"Alright, the time is every Wednesday and Friday evening at seven o'clock," Professor McGonagall said.
Wednesday... isn't that today?
Kyle asked, "Where am I supposed to go? Right here in the Transfiguration Class classroom?"
"No," Professor McGonagall chuckled, "It's on the Seventh Floor of the castle, near the right-hand corridor, behind a painting with two goats."
"I will definitely be there on time."
After saying goodbye to Professor McGonagall, Kyle walked out of the Transfiguration Class classroom.
Kanna was waiting for him at the door.
"What does Professor McGonagall want to see you about?"
"It's nothing," Kyle said casually. "Professor McGonagall just invited me to her Transfiguration Club."
After saying that, Kyle glanced sideways, ready to enjoy the little girl's surprised expression.
"Oh... so it's a club."
Without turning her head, Kanna casually said, "I joined Professor Snape's Potions Club when school started. Why are you only joining now?"
"Huh?" Kyle asked instinctively, "Snape... Professor, you also have a club?"
"Of course, each professor can start their own club and invite students in their third year or above to join."
Kanna said, "When these students reach sixth grade, they can directly enter the professor's advanced class."
What, you didn't know?
Kyle shook his head; he really didn't know.
"Professor Snape told me this," Kanna turned her head. "I thought you were invited by the professor at the beginning of the semester, just like me. I didn't expect you to be so many days late."
"Hehe... maybe the professor is too busy." Kyle chuckled twice and immediately changed the subject.
"By the way, what's the next class?"
"A curse."
Whether the professors had planned it beforehand or not, after the Charms class, Professor Flitwick also extended an invitation to Kyle, offering him the same opportunity to join his club.
"Of course I'd like to..." Kyle hesitated for a moment, then asked, "I also agreed to Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club, is that alright?"
"Of course not," Professor Flitwick said with a smile. "In fact, many excellent students are like that, like Bill Weasley ... I think you should know him."
"I know him." Kyle nodded. "The eldest Weasley family, he's Curse-Breaker at Gringotts."
"That's right, it's him. Back in his school days, he joined three clubs: Charms, Transfiguration, and Potions..."
Professor Flitwick blinked. "I think you can too."
"That's not necessarily true..." Kyle thought to himself.
There's a 99% chance Snape will invite him... If he does, he'll have to consider whether there's some kind of conspiracy involved.
Upon learning that he could join two clubs simultaneously, Kyle gladly accepted Professor Flitwick's invitation.
The location is an empty classroom in the West Tower, and the times are Monday and Saturday.
Having joined two clubs in a row, you can imagine how busy he'll be from now on, but it's worth it... after all, not everyone gets this kind of opportunity.
A day passed by in the blink of an eye, and it was already 6:50.
Kyle stood in the Seventh Floor corridor, looking at the portraits with a somewhat bewildered expression.
He had already searched the whole place, but he couldn't find any painting with two goats in it.
There is one...
Kyle reached the end of the corridor and carefully observed the goat grazing inside, and the old wizard tending the goats beside it.
He had barely moved closer when the old wizard in the painting barked angrily, "Hey kid, don't get so close! You're so clumsy, what if you dirty the frame!"
"Feel sorry..."
Kyle took a step back and asked, "Do you have a second goat here?"
"Unless you can draw me another one..." The old wizard glanced at him.
"But do you want a miniature horse?"
He pointed to a painting hanging opposite, in which a knight was leading a pony, cursing and uttering provocative words.
Kyle didn't seem to mind, but the old wizard frowned in disapproval and said, "Too noisy... Can you make him shut up?"
Kyle had a sudden thought, and transformed a Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans into a thick velvet curtain, which he then hung on the knight's portrait.
The sound immediately became much quieter.
"A fine Transfiguration Spell," the old wizard said, "But I do only have a goat here."
"No..." Kyle chuckled, "That goat kept looking around, clearly searching for something... If I'm not mistaken, your Animagus should be a goat."
Mr. Dika Anglus.
"You know me?" The old wizard raised an eyebrow.
"I guessed..."
"You were mentioned in the ' Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration,' the most famous Transfiguration master of the 18th century, who once transformed a Dragon into a goat and maintained it for a full hour."
"That's all in the past... it's not worth mentioning."
The old wizard waved his hand, stood up, and left the picture frame. "I've already changed three times today... Minerva really knows how to cause trouble."
When he returned, he had transformed into a goat.
At the same time, the top and bottom of the frame began to extend and become larger and larger, and several protruding golden lines on the side intertwined with each other, gradually forming something that looked like a doorknob.
