Cedric and Fred
Amidst the cacophony of noise, Professor Lupin had to raise his voice and shout towards the door, "Come back quickly, you haven't written down your homework yet!"
Whether it was a misperception or not, after he said that, the group ran even faster, rushing down the stairs and disappearing within seconds.
Moreover, at this moment, even the other people in the classroom began to get restless, moving their feet slightly and glancing towards the door every now and then.
But the next second, the door suddenly closed by itself.
"Homework: Please read the chapter about the Augurey and then briefly write down how to deal with it."
Professor Lupin put away his wand and said lightly, "One foot in length. As for those who left the classroom early, it's one foot and six inches... Please remind them, members of the same house, to remember to hand it in at the next class."
Upon hearing that their work was six inches longer than theirs, some immediately patted their chests and declared that they would definitely pass on the message.
"Don't worry, Professor Lupin, this is what we should do."
"Trying to skip homework... How awful! They deserve to be six inches longer!"
Professor Lupin nodded. "That's all for now, class dismissed!"
The students chatted excitedly as they left the classroom.
"Kyle, wait a moment, I have something to tell you."
Kyle had just reached the door, stopped and turned back to ask, "Is there something you need, Professor?"
"It's just a small matter," Professor Lupin said as he walked over.
It was just after class, and the classroom was near the stairs. Professor Lupin looked at the students coming and going in the corridor and said softly, "Come with me. It won't take up too much of your time."
"OK."
Kyle nodded, then turned to Kanna and said, "You go to the Great Hall first, I'll be there soon."
"It's alright," Kanna said. "Professor Lupin said it wouldn't take long, so I'll wait a bit."
"Hmm... that works too."
After parting ways with Kanna, Kyle followed Professor Lupin through two corridors and stopped outside the Staff Room.
"Come in," Professor Lupin said, opening the door and taking a step back.
Kyle had been here once before, but back then Lockhart was the owner. After Professor Lupin took over, all the fancy decorations were removed, leaving only a few old chairs.
When Kyle came in, there was already someone there.
Snape was sitting in an armchair, and when Kyle came in, he turned to face him, his eyes Winky.
"Severus," Professor Lupin greeted, "What brings you here?"
"Dumbledore told me about it."
Snape said, "I came to tell you that the medicine will be ready in a week, and you can come and pick it up anytime, or I can deliver it to you... whenever you need it."
"Thank you, Severus," Professor Lupin said. "You've really helped me a lot."
"For the students' safety, there's no other way."
As he spoke, Snape glanced at Kyle, seemingly casually.
But Kyle just turned his head away, seemingly more interested in the pattern on an old wardrobe next to him.
"Well then, have a pleasant chat."
Snape rose and headed towards the door, but as he passed Kyle, he paused and casually asked, "By the way, you received the Order of Order of Merlin, Second Class, for killing a Werewolf at St Mungo's's, right?"
"No," Kyle smiled slightly. "It was just an injury, Professor, and it was only with the help of Professor Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn."
Professor Lupin raised his eyebrows, his expression becoming somewhat unnatural.
"Is that so... it seems I remembered it wrong."
Snape gave a mocking sneer, strode away, and slammed the door shut.
"Alright." Professor Lupin walked over, opened the box in the corner, and took out a few sheets of parchment, placing them on the table.
He then took out two more Galleon and handed them to Kyle along with the parchment.
"Professor, what's going on?"
"Remember? You lent me two Galleon on the train," Professor Lupin chuckled. "Coincidentally, Professor Dumbledore gave me an advance of a month's salary."
"No need, Professor, I..."
"Listen to me, Kyle," Professor Lupin interrupted him. "I know what you mean, but as a professor, I cannot accept money from students. That's absolutely unacceptable... Do you understand what I mean?"
Professor Lupin's expression was very serious.
"I understand." Kyle took the two Galleon.
"But I also want to thank you," Professor Lupin smiled again, "Thanks to those two Galleon, I was able to buy a decent outfit before class."
He made no attempt to hide his predicament, even jokingly saying, "The cheapest clothes in Hogsmeade Village are one Galleon and fifteen Sickle the extra money, you can buy a box of Chocolate Frog, which used to be my favorite... By the way, do you collect cards?"
He took a Chocolate Frog Card out of his pocket.
Kyle glanced at... Salazar Slytherin.
"No!" Kyle shook his head decisively.
Professor Lupin didn't pay much attention, assuming that Kyle already had the card.
"And this, consider it my thank-you gift."
He picked up the parchment in his hand and said, "I remember you also used the Patronus Charm on the train, but you were unable to summon the complete Patronus."
"Here's a summary of how to learn the Patronus Charm; it should be helpful to you."
"Forehead..."
Kyle wanted to tell Professor Lupin that he actually knew the Patronus Charm and used it quite well, but since it was a gift of thanks, he accepted the parchment to avoid awkwardness for both of them.
"Thank you, Professor."
"You're welcome," Professor Lupin said with a smile. "If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me anytime."
"Yes... I will."
"It's alright, go back now." Professor Lupin blinked. "Don't keep your friend waiting."
Goodbye, Professor.
Just as Kyle turned around to leave, he suddenly found two more people in front of him.
Cedric and Fred lay motionless on the floor, as if they were dead.
"Oh, it's Boggart..."
Professor Lupin noticed this as well and stepped forward, saying, "I always thought it had been eliminated, but I didn't expect it to hide here. Let me help you..."
Before he could finish speaking, Kyle had already raised his wand.
Almost instinctively... a towering flame erupted from the wand, coalescing in mid-air into the shape of a Dragon.
"Smack!"
The Dragon spewed out a ball of flame, and a scorching wave of air instantly swept through the entire office.
All the windows were shattered, and the tables and chairs in the room were instantly reduced to ashes.
Cedric and Fred's "corpses" had vanished. A cloud of black mist twisted and Transfiguration before the Dragon, finally disappearing completely...
Things happened so fast that by the time Professor Lupin realized what was happening, his office was already a pile of rubble.
"Stop it..."
Looking at the enormous fire dragon before him, he drew his wand in terror.
"Finite Incantatem!"
But it didn't work.
The "Dragon" seemed to be enraged, turning its increasingly massive body around and opening its mouth towards him.
At this time...
"Finite Incantatem!"
Another ball of golden flame rose up and attached itself to the "Dragon," causing its enormous body to rapidly shrink.
At this moment, the "Dragon" struggled incessantly, just like the Boggart before, until it disappeared completely.
Professor Lupin looked up blankly.
The office was a mess; desks, chairs, cabinets, and even the windows were gone, and only half of the door remained, hanging precariously on the doorframe.
Footsteps sounded outside, as if someone had heard the noise and was coming this way.
"I'm sorry, Professor, I..."
"This is too dangerous..." Professor Lupin suddenly exclaimed, "That's not how you use the Fire-Making Spell!"
After saying that, he rushed out of the office and chased the students away before they even reached the door.
"There's nothing to see here. Let's go eat in the Great Hall... Hurry back, don't be late for afternoon classes."
"Oh, Professor McGonagall... what brings you here too... It's nothing, don't worry, it was just a minor mishap with the Fire-Making Spell, it's all taken care of now."
