The Thestral carriage sped through the clouds until evening, when it gradually slowed down and returned to the ground.

Kyle stepped out of the carriage and looked around curiously.

Devon... Kyle was no stranger to it.

Because Ottery St. Catchpole was in Devon, but he had no recollection of this place at all.

It's so far from Ottery St. Catchpole, almost to the very edge of Devon, that Kyle could even hear the distant sound of the waves.

"Welcome, sir." A sharp yet familiar voice rang out.

Kyle instinctively looked down and saw a House-elf wearing a floral shirt and goggles on his forehead.

"Tata? What kind of look is this now?"

Tata is Nicolas Flamel's House-elf, but unlike other House-elf, it doesn't dislike clothes; in fact, Nicolas Flamel has given it so many new clothes that it has filled an entire wardrobe.

Kyle still couldn't quite understand the outfit of a floral shirt, goggles, and leather shoes; in fact, the buttons were fastened incorrectly, and one side of the shirt was higher than the other.

But Tata's outfit looked quite normal when they were in Paris...

"My master said I should try some different combinations." Tata tugged at her floral shirt. "What does the master think?"

"Hmm... very novel." Kyle gave a thumbs up. "At least it surpasses ninety percent of wizards; it's definitely the most eye-catching one in a crowd."

Tata happily tugged at his clothes again, but he didn't forget the important matter at hand.

"Sir, please come with me."

Tata bowed slightly, then walked in one direction.

Kyle followed behind him, leading the Thestral carriage. After only a dozen or so steps, the scene before them suddenly changed.

A magnificent manor has inexplicably appeared on what was originally a vacant lot full of rubble.

The ground beneath my feet had turned into a flat meadow, dotted with all sorts of beautiful plants whose names I didn't know.

In front of the manor gate stand two lifelike Dragon statues that look just like the real thing.

The Thestral refused to go any further, no matter what Kyle said.

"It's alright, sir. It's safe here, Tata will take good care of them."

"Alright then." Kyle thought for a moment, then simply untied the reins from the Thestral, allowing them to move freely around.

"The food is in the carriage; I'll bring some more later."

One of the Thestral snorted and nuzzled Kyle's arm.

Kyle then followed Tata into the manor.

It's even bigger than it looks from the outside, almost the same size as Hogwarts.

A watering can, with its short legs, walked past them, shaking its head as it evenly sprinkled water on the plants on both sides.

"Hey, watch out, we have guests," Tata said, annoyed.

The kettle suddenly stopped, its long spout bending slightly, as if in apology...

Is a kettle apologizing?

Kyle felt like hundreds of Mooncalf were stampeding through his mind... He really had met Merlin!

But when I think of the owner of this place, everything seems to make sense again.

"Ignore him, that reckless fellow." Tata continued walking.

Along the way, Kyle also saw scissors pruning dead branches, a fountain that was bathing birds, and a refrigerator being chased around by Kneazle.

Kyle felt he had to apologize to Mr. Weasley... Nicolas really did have a refrigerator that could run, and it was throwing ice cubes out as it ran, trying to scare away the Kneazle.

Wow, this is really lively.

Kyle followed Tata up a flight of steps, where Nicolas Flamel stood smiling, with a similarly white-haired witch beside him.

That was his wife, Perenelle, who was also over six hundred years old.

"Long time no see, kid." Nicolas patted Kyle warmly on the shoulder...

"Click..."

Hearing the sharp crack beside his ear, Kyle initially thought he was trying to scam someone.

"Be careful, this is the third time this year." Perenelle gently tapped his wrist.

"I will," Nicolas said with a smile, then led Kyle into the room.

To Kyle's surprise, there were only the three of them in the huge room.

He had hoped to see some familiar faces, like McPhail, whom he'd met in Paris before, or Olympe Maxime, the Beauxbatons principal who'd tried to poach him...

"Don't be surprised." Nicolas seemed to see his confusion. "A few friends wanted to come and celebrate Christmas with us, but I didn't think it was necessary."

"In my opinion, those so-called holidays are no different from ordinary days."

Having lived for over six hundred years, Nicolas has experienced far too much, so in his eyes no day is special; they are all the same.

The old man walked slowly forward, Kyle followed him into a spacious room.

The chair that was originally in the corner immediately moved to the table, and the teapot on the table poured a steaming cup of black tea.

"It's quite a coincidence. Just a few days ago, I was preparing to invite you to visit, when I received the letter you sent through Albus."

Nicolas, sitting in an armchair, chuckled, "I must say, you've really given me a tough problem..."

"What?" Kyle was a little confused.

"This..." Nicolas handed Kyle a gold pocket watch with five hands. "Last year, Albus came here and asked me to fix it no matter what."

"The last time he seemed so nervous was when he came to borrow the Philosopher's Stone from me a hundred years ago."

"Is this Slytherin's Time-Turner?" Kyle carefully took the pocket watch, a look of surprise immediately appearing on his face.

When I first saw it last year, this Time-Turner looked like it was made of sand and would break at the slightest touch, but now it's perfectly fine, and I can handle it however I want without any problems.

"You fixed it?" Kyle asked in surprise.

As expected of Nicolas Flamel, he can even repair such a shattered antique.

No.

Nicolas shook his head. "I only repaired its outer shell, but the most important Ancient Runes runes of this Time-Turner have been destroyed. They are products from a thousand years ago and are vastly different from the runes of today. I could only find a small amount of information, making the repair extremely difficult."

Although Nicolas complained, he kept smiling as he spoke, clearly enjoying himself.

"You didn't invite me here just for this, did you?" Kyle handed the Time-Turner back to him.

"Yes, I need your help," Nicolas said. "I want to know what you experienced during that time travel, especially the beginning and the end, the more details the better."

"This helps me deduce the composition of those symbols."

"No problem." Kyle nodded.
