Kanna's Reply
Friday, the day before the Quidditch World Cup begins.
In the morning, a brand-new car drove into the Ottery St. Catchpole.
Hermione has arrived.
Mrs. Weasley had originally said she was going to pick her up, but Mr. Granger thought it would be too much trouble for them, so he sent Hermione over to the address on the letter.
Furthermore, to express his gratitude, he brought a large number of oral care kits as gifts.
"Oh, this car is beautiful..." Mr. Weasley's eyes lit up as he looked at the silver sedan that Mr. Granger had driven up.
Ever since Ron lost his old Ford, Mrs. Weasley has forbade him from buying another one.
So for now, he can only admire it from afar, constantly circling around the car and occasionally lying down to examine the tire treads.
Mr. Granger, however, was unfazed by his behavior and even kindly handed him the car keys.
There's nothing strange about that; when he first entered the magical world, he didn't perform much better than Mr. Weasley.
Mrs. Weasley also came out and invited Mr. Granger to stay for lunch.
Mr. Granger shook his head, saying that he had other guests with appointments coming later and declined.
He was a dentist, a profession that Mr. Weasley was very interested in. After he left, Mr. Weasley took the oral care kits and went to study them.
Mrs. Weasley then summoned Ginny and asked her to show Hermione around the Burrow.
It was Hermione's first time encountering a wizarding family, and everything there was new and exciting—a completely different feeling from her time at school.
By the afternoon, Cedric and Cho had arrived, and a large group of people appeared at the Burrow. According to Fred and George, they had never felt their home so crowded.
Kyle wrote a letter to Kanna, asking if she wanted to come along too.
But when Ladon returned, besides a brief reply arranging to meet at the venue the next day, he also brought a small bottle containing a blue potion.
This is a poisonous Potions often used to eliminate household pests.
Around five o'clock in the afternoon, Mr. Weasley was preparing to pick up Harry, the last of the group, because he had to prepare dinner, so the task of picking him up fell to him.
"Dad, can we go with you?" Fred and George volunteered.
After receiving the news that they were to pick up Harry, they immediately rushed back from the Kyle family's house.
"Alright," Mr. Weasley agreed, but after a moment's thought, he added, "No mischief allowed. That family doesn't like wizards, and we can't cause Harry any trouble."
"I don't think he can get any worse," Fred muttered to himself.
They had picked up Harry once before and knew Harry situation all too well.
However, Mr. Weasley didn't hear this; he was throwing Floo Powder into the fireplace.
Prior to this, he had already submitted an application to the Floo Network Authority under the guise of picking someone up, requesting that the Dursley family ' fireplace be temporarily connected to the Floo Network.
Although the Ministry of Magic stipulates that Muggle fireplaces cannot be connected to the Floo Network, Mr. Weasley has many friends, including people from the Floo Network Authority.
So the application was approved very quickly, but only within ten minutes.
Knowing full well that you need stamps to mail a letter, yet using Floo Powder to pick someone up... Kyle didn't know what to say.
If he had to choose between the two, he felt the Dursley family would be more accepting of an owl delivering a message than a person suddenly appearing from the fireplace.
However, he didn't stop them, since their agreed time was five o'clock, and there were less than ten minutes left.
There wasn't nearly enough time to get there. If they didn't use Floo Powder, they'd have to Apparition, which would only further agitate the Dursley family.
"Hurry up, we only have ten minutes!"
Once the flames in the fireplace turned green, Mr. Weasley was the first to step inside, shouting out Harry's address.
"4 Privet Drive Surrey!"
The green flames in the fireplace leaped upwards, and Mr. Weasley vanished.
Immediately afterwards, Fred and George also entered the fireplace.
Ron wanted to go too, but Mrs. Weasley grabbed him.
"Don't let too many people go; that family doesn't like wizards."
Upon hearing this, Hermione, who had been eager to try out Floo Powder, immediately stopped in her tracks.
Five minutes later, Fred was the first to return.
He stepped out of the fireplace and excitedly approached Kyle, lowering his voice to say, "I threw away a bag of candy when I left, and deliberately left one unpicked..."
Just then, George and Harry arrived.
"Has he eaten?" Fred asked excitedly, reaching out to help Harry up.
"I ate it." Harry stood up. "What was that...?"
"Balloon Candy," Fred said, beaming. "You were the one who inspired it. All summer, we've been trying to find someone to try it..."
A burst of laughter erupted in the small kitchen.
Harry breathed a sigh of relief. To be honest, when he saw Dudley float uncontrollably to the roof, he thought he had inflated him again, just like Marge did last year.
Harry then looked around and greeted everyone.
Charlie and Bill were also very curious about him.
They had only heard of the Boy Who Lived; this was the first time they had met him.
The fire in the fireplace quickly went out.
"Mr. Weasley hasn't come out yet!" Hermione said anxiously.
"Don't worry," Ron waved his hand, "Dad has a plan..."
Before Ron could finish speaking, a soft popping sound was heard. Mr. Weasley suddenly appeared next to George, furious.
"This is no joke, Fred!" he yelled. "What exactly did you feed that Muggle boy?"
"I didn't give him anything." Fred grinned mischievously. "I just accidentally spilled some on the ground, and he picked it up and ate it himself... It's not my fault."
If he had considered giving the candy back to me, none of this would have happened, right?
"You deliberately spilled it!" Mr. Weasley knew his son all too well. "You know he's on a diet... he'll definitely eat!"
"Did he really fly?" George asked eagerly.
"Fly all the way to the ceiling!"
Harry and the Weasley brothers burst into laughter again.
"This is no joke!" Mr. Weasley exclaimed, "This behavior seriously damages the relationship between wizards and Muggle. You shouldn't..."
"This has nothing to do with whether he's Muggle or not!" Fred said angrily.
"Because he's been bullying Harry," George said, "And that family won't feed him!"
"Yes!" Harry said seriously.
To make Dudley, who was on a diet Dudley better, he was only allowed a small, pitiful piece of grapefruit at each meal. Aunt Petunia seemed to think that the best way to cheer Dudley was to make sure he ate more than Harry.
Even so, Dudley would often steal his meager possessions. If Ron and Hermione hadn't regularly sent him food, he didn't know how he would have survived for over a month.
"That's not the problem; your behavior itself is wrong," Mr. Weasley, still somewhat angry. "Besides, they'll take it out on Harry, and you're just making things difficult for him."
"It's alright, Mr. Weasley." Harry shrugged, indicating that it didn't matter.
Whether or not this incident happened, his aunt and uncle would never like him, especially after he inflated Marge last year. It doesn't matter...
