The Weasley Brothers' Astonishment
Crouch's inability to come is actually good news, Kyle thought to himself.
At that moment, Dumbledore and Bagman also came out from the side door.
"Oh, Kyle, why haven't you gone back to rest yet?" he said with a smile. "Like I said before, the Triwizard Tournament is no joke. I suggest you think it over carefully and come back tomorrow morning."
"Well then, Albus, I'll be going now..." Bagman said with a worried look, "Working all night, I wonder if there's any extra pay."
"Goodbye Ludo, thank you for your hard work," said Dumbledore.
After Bagman left, Kyle prepared to return to his dormitory, but after taking a few steps, he suddenly stopped, turned around, and said to Dumbledore.
"Professor, I think you'd better have the professors pay more attention to the Goblet of Fire."
"Oh?" Dumbledore confusion.
"Well... that's how it is," Kyle said. "You probably know that during the Quidditch World Cup, someone tried to kill Harry."
Dumbledore's expression gradually turned serious. "What do you want to say?"
"So... the person who cast the Dark Mark hasn't been caught yet, has he? Besides, you also said that the Champion participating in the Triwizard Tournament are in constant danger of losing their lives."
Kyle didn't say it explicitly, but Dumbledore clearly understood.
"I will consider your suggestion," he said, looking at Kyle, "But I think the chances are slim."
"I was just saying it offhand, Professor. Maybe I'm just overthinking it," Kyle shrugged.
He still felt it was better to remind Dumbledore before he was certain whether Barty Crouch Jr.. had infiltrated Hogwarts.
Filch's footsteps approached in the distance. Kyle touched the Marauder's Marauder's Map in his pocket, said goodbye to the headmaster, and returned to the Hufflepuff common room.
The next day was Saturday. Usually, everyone would eat breakfast very late, but today was an exception.
Kyle was woken up early in the morning by his two roommates.
"Wake up, Kyle! Everyone's gone to the Great Hall, how can you sleep like that!" Mikel pushed open the window, and the cold wind whistled in.
Kyle sat up in bed. "No need to rush, the Champion' roster won't be announced until tonight."
But Mikel and Ryan wouldn't listen; they seemed convinced that submitting their names earlier would increase their chances of being selected.
Left with no other choice, Kyle could only sit up and put on a thick robe.
When they arrived at the Great Hall, they saw dozens of people gathered there, all carefully examining the Goblet of Fire placed in the center of the Great Hall.
A thin gold line, roughly ten feet in radius, was drawn around the floor surrounding the Goblet of Fire.
Kanna stood in the doorway, with Phoebe, Madame Maxime, and Professor Sprout beside her.
"This was originally against the regulations."
Kyle heard Madame Maxime say in a deep voice, "But Phoebe... well, if you all think it's fine, I completely agree."
After the two professors left, Kyle leaned over and asked curiously, "What did you two just talk about?"
"It's nothing," Kanna said with a smile. "It's just that Phoebe said she'd stay here until the end of the school year. She can't sleep in the carriage forever, so I thought I'd try to see if she could stay in our dormitory temporarily."
We discussed it last night, and everyone agreed."
"So, Phoebe can move into the Hufflepuff dorms today?" Kyle asked.
"And Gabrielle," Phoebe explained, "But she won't be staying long. She'll have to return to the carriage closer to the competition; that's Madame Maxime's bottom line."
Kyle nodded; the headmaster seemed to have tacitly accepted that Phoebe would become Beauxbatons ' Champion.
"What about the others from Beauxbatons?" Kyle said. "Won't they have a problem with you staying here, since you all came together?"
"If they want, they can," Phoebe said nonchalantly.
Seeing her expression, Kyle didn't say anything more.
Just then, Fred and George came downstairs. Upon noticing Phoebe, they abruptly stopped in their tracks and then walked over in an affected, unhurried manner.
"Good morning, my dear friend," Fred said in a strange tone.
"It's so nice to see you all here..." George said seriously, looking just like Percy when they were talking about work.
"Can you guys be normal for once?" Kyle said with some disdain.
"We're perfectly normal," Fred said, pinning a homemade Prefect Badge to his chest, though it read "Big Head Boy" instead.
"They are Fred Weasley and George Weasley," Kyle introduced.
"Weasley?" Phoebe blinked, looking at the two identical figures.
"Yes, they are the younger Weasley family kids," Kyle said.
He noticed that Phoebe looked like she wanted to say hello, but also seemed a little lost.
"Oh, you don't need to know who they are, just call them by their names... they'll correct you themselves later."
"Hey, that's going too far!" Fred frowned in displeasure.
"Exactly, even though we're completely different, everyone says I'm more handsome."
"Nonsense, they're talking about me..."
The two started arguing as they talked, and it eventually escalated to the point where they were grabbing each other by the neck, and it seemed like they were about to come to blows.
"Excuse me, we'll have to leave for a moment," Kyle said to Kanna and Phoebe, then pulled Fred and George out of the Great Hall.
Surprisingly, once they could no longer see Phoebe, the two of them immediately sobered up.
"No!" Fred released his grip on George, shook his head, and said, "Kyle, there's something wrong with that girl!"
"We wouldn't normally act like this," George frowned, "But just now I couldn't help wanting to show off. This feeling is familiar, it's like..."
"The Quidditch World Cup," Fred said. "The Bulgaria mascots...those Veela!"
"She's a Veela!" George's voice was a little hoarse.
Kyle shook his head. "Don't talk nonsense. Veela can't use wands, no matter what country they're in."
"Then she must also have Veela blood," George said definitively.
This time, Kyle didn't say anything more, but simply waved his hand and said, "Don't make such a fuss. If others see this, they'll think that people from Hogwarts have never seen the world."
"That's amazing!" Fred exclaimed, his mouth agape in astonishment, instantly forgetting his earlier embarrassment.
George couldn't resist peeking through the doorway, then quickly looked away. "Hogwarts doesn't have anyone like that, does it? I bet she could become Champion."
