Taking Over Filch?
Inside the room, Kyle held his wand and used it like a quill, slowly drawing Ancient Runes and symbols on the sapwood frame of the mirror.
Drawing Ancient Runes is not like writing with ink; once a mistake is made, it cannot be corrected. This is destined to be a very tedious task, requiring a great deal of patience and focus.
Fortunately, Kyle happens to meet both of these conditions.
Moreover, time seemed to fly by when he was focused on the Ancient Runes formula; Kyle had only finished drawing half of the frame when a week had already passed.
This also means the Easter holiday is coming to an end.
That morning, the House-elf Tata, as usual, brought over a plate of sandwiches and bacon.
The dining table is too big, and he's the only one there, so he'll feel more comfortable eating here.
Kyle picked up a sandwich and was about to put it in his mouth when a head suddenly popped out of the plate and stood right in front of Kyle.
This sudden scene startled Kyle so much that he almost dropped the sandwich he was holding, while Tata next to him let out a piercing scream and howled as she ran out of the room.
"Ms. Helena Ravenclaw..."
After regaining his senses, Kyle said with lingering fear, "When did you learn Peeves?"
"No wonder Peeves loves playing pranks so much," Helena Ravenclaw said cheerfully. "It's really quite amusing."
She was like a ghost, her tone light and cheerful, and her expression no longer as preoccupied as before.
She was laughing, and laughing very happily.
To be fair, as Ravenclaw's daughter, Helena Ravenclaw has certainly raised the average attractiveness of the Hogwarts ghosts. She looked like this when she had a serious face before, but now when she smiles, she could probably turn Bloody Baron, into an idiot.
"Ms. Helena Ravenclaw, one Peeves is enough for the castle. If there's another one, I'm afraid everyone will go crazy." Kyle put down his sandwich and said helplessly, "Are you all done talking?"
"Not yet." Helena Ravenclaw shook her head. "But Mother said we can talk later, so we should give you time now."
"For me?" Kyle looked up in confusion.
"Well, you'll find out when you get there," Helena Ravenclaw said. "But you'd better hurry, the Easter holidays are almost over."
Kyle nodded, put away his wand and the mirror with half -Ancient Runes, and turned to walk back to the room he had been in before.
Tata had already screamed and run far away.
Kyle went downstairs, found the room, pushed open the oak door, and went inside.
The Ravenclaw's Diadem was placed on the table, very conspicuous.
When Kyle picked it up, he hesitated slightly before putting it on.
"Don't worry, with Mother around, she won't let you be affected by the Ravenclaw's Diadem," Helena Ravenclaw said, following behind. Kyle could even detect a hint of pride in her tone.
As Ravenclaw's daughter, this is perfectly normal.
Without further hesitation, Kyle placed the Ravenclaw's Diadem on his head.
This time, he didn't experience the magical state he had felt before. Kyle let out a breath, unsure whether he was disappointed or relieved.
"Thank you, child," Ravenclaw's voice came. "Thank you for bringing Helena Ravenclaw here. This child has never liked talking to me, and I rarely care about what she wants... If I had paid more attention to Helena Ravenclaw, she probably wouldn't have been so determined to steal the Ravenclaw's Diadem."
"I never imagined that these things I overlooked would eventually become a shackle, trapping her for over a thousand years."
"It's a bit late, but the misunderstanding has been cleared up," Kyle said. "And Ms. Helena Ravenclaw helped me a lot during the Triwizard Tournament... Oh, it's a tournament between Europe magic schools, including Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang."
"The school founded by Nerida Vulchanova?" Ravenclaw said softly. "Salazar initially agreed with her teaching philosophy, but Godric disagreed, and the two had a big argument about it."
Kyle blinked.
The person Slytherin would likely approve of wouldn't be Beauxbatons... so is it Durmstrang?
Surprisingly, the Founders of this school also had connections with the Four Founders.
"In any case, you have solved my biggest problem... a problem that I couldn't have solved even when I was alive."
Ravenclaw's voice sounded somewhat erratic, not as clear as before.
"In return, I can grant you one request, just as I said before, whether it's wealth or knowledge, it's all you can have."
Kyle was somewhat agitated.
Although saying this is a bit too obvious, he had indeed been waiting for those words.
Furthermore, Ravenclaw is one of the Four Founders because of his magnanimity, unlike Dumbledore an old bee and comes with a whole host of restrictions.
"I want to learn the Vanishing Spell," Kyle said almost without hesitation.
"The Vanishing Spell?" Ravenclaw for a moment. "Is it a spell that erases objects?"
Although I can teach you, I must warn you that this spell requires the use of intricate Ancient Runes, and even the slightest mistake could backfire and cause irreversible damage. Even in my time, it was extremely dangerous.
We prefer to use the Magma Devouring Spell. Its effect might not be as immediate as the Vanishing Spell, but it's about the same, and much safer."
Kyle's lips twitched. He had a feeling that Ravenclaw had misunderstood something; erasure and disappearance seemed a little different.
And it's similar to the Magma Curse, is that what he meant?
They really teach everything...
To be honest, Kyle was a little tempted, but he quickly shook his head, resisting the urge to agree.
"No, you misunderstand, it's a Vanishing Spell."
Kyle took out his wand and pointed it at a book on the table.
The book disappeared quickly, only to reappear on the table after Kyle recited the counter-spell.
"Not bad, a good Transfiguration Spell ..." Ravenclaw said. "Haven't you already mastered it quite well? The Transfiguration process is very stable, and I don't think you need to learn it again."
"That's true only for objects," Kyle said. "But I want to learn how to cast it on myself."
Then, Kyle briefly explained his idea... which was to use this spell to achieve true invisibility.
"Great idea," Ravenclaw said.
"Is it even possible?" Kyle asked expectantly.
"Yes," Ravenclaw said almost without hesitation. "The biggest challenge is resolving the magical conflict, so all I have to do is turn myself into Squib."
Kyle's excited heart instantly calmed down.
"Then let's forget about it?"
If they've all become Squib, how can they use magic? That's simply impossible.
Moreover, he doesn't want to take over Filch's job yet... although it's certainly convenient to catch those who break school rules this way.
"No, it's another form."
Ravenclaw continued, "The simplest way is to use a magical item."
"What prop?" Kyle asked quickly.
"Salazar has a Slytherin's Locket that connects to his own magic."
Ravenclaw calmly stated, "When you wear it, the Slytherin's Locket becomes part of your body, yet remains relatively independent."
"This way, you'll be able to use magic even without any magic power of your own."
