While Kyle was talking to Hagrid, Kanna stood beside them with a completely bewildered expression the entire time.
Who am I? What am I doing here? What are they even talking about?
Wasn't the dog just off its food? How did they suddenly get onto Three-headed Dogs?
And what even is a Three-headed Dog? A dog with three heads? But there isn't one in this room.
"Kyle..." While Hagrid lowered his head in thought, Kanna hurriedly voiced her confusion. "What were you talking about just now?"
However, Kyle did not answer her directly. Instead, he looked at Hagrid and gestured with his chin. "Take it out. Stop hiding it. I'm not a professional veterinarian—I need to see the exact situation for myself."
"I wasn't..." Hagrid still wanted to struggle, but when he thought of Fluffy's recent condition, he sighed. "All right, but you can't tell anyone."
"Of course." Kyle nodded. "I swear on Cedric's character."
Feeling conflicted, Hagrid failed to catch what Kyle had said and got up to leave the hut.
But Kanna had heard it.
"Why did you swear on Cedric's character?" the young witch asked in confusion.
"Don't worry about the details." Kyle waved a hand. "If I had any character, I'd definitely have sworn on my own."
Kanna said nothing and silently edged a little farther away.
Hagrid returned soon enough. Apparently, the place where he had hidden Fluffy was not far from here.
After returning to the hut, Hagrid first drew the curtains before lifting the Murtlap-fur coat draped over his arm, revealing Fluffy hidden beneath it.
Fluffy was now about the size of a cow. After realizing it had been carried back into that cramped room, it quickly drooped its heads and lay motionless on the floor.
