Art is Explosions
Compared to the distraught Slytherin, the atmosphere in Gryffindor was much more cheerful, especially after seeing Rosier storm out of the Great Hall; they laughed even louder.
"George, is this the Nimbus 2000?"
After all the Slytherin members had left, a dark-skinned boy with long, bushy hair eagerly approached the twins and urged, "What are you waiting for? Let us see!"
His words were immediately echoed by the others, "Yes, let's open it and see for ourselves!"
"Merlin's beard, that must be the best broom ever made. Even professional teams probably don't have Nimbus 2000."
However, despite everyone's urging, Fred and George showed no intention of opening the package.
George glanced at the person next to him with obvious disdain and said, "Hey, Lee Jordan, it's Fred. Don't you recognize us yet?"
"Sorry, Fred, I can see..."
"No, I am Fred."
Beside him, the real Fred put his arm around his shoulder and said, "You fell for such a simple trick? To be honest, I'm starting to doubt if you're really our best friend."
Poor Lee Jordan was completely dumbfounded. He looked at the two identical faces next to him and couldn't find any difference between them no matter what he looked like.
It's obviously a copy.
"Okay, Fred George, I'm sorry." Lee Jordan shook his head, took a deep breath and said, "Whoever you are, can I just take a look at Nimbus 2000, just one look?"
Please, I beg you.
Normally, Lee Jordan would definitely point his finger at the twins, belittle their ridiculous and morbid hobby, and maybe even throw in a couple of slang insults.
But now he not only didn't do that, he even apologized directly, adopting a very humble attitude.
There was no way around it; when you're under someone's roof, you have to bow your head. As a Quidditch fan, the allure of a new broom that hadn't even been released yet was simply too great for him; he would definitely have insomnia if he couldn't even take a peek at it.
"What Nimbus 2000?" Fred glanced at him and said, "I don't understand what you're talking about. The brooms we're using are clearly the old-fashioned Cleansweep Five."
"I know you want to keep this a secret..." Lee Jordan glanced around and said, "But now Wright is all gone, and we're surrounded by our own people. One glance won't hurt..."
Fred and George remained silent.
"Why don't we go back to the common room?" someone suggested. "It'll definitely be safer watching from there."
"You can't do this..." protested the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw wizards. "We want to see it too!"
But nobody cares about their opinions now.
The Gryffindor swarmed around the twins and rushed out of the Great Hall.
However, when they arrived at the portrait of the Fat Lady, they discovered that Fred and George were nowhere to be found.
"It must have run away when it went upstairs just now."
Lee Jordan was extremely aggrieved. "It's outrageous! They even defend against their own people!"
By noon, the atmosphere at the Slytherin table remained somber.
They searched the entire Hogwarts all morning, but couldn't find a trace of Fred and George; it was as if the two had vanished into thin air.
Furthermore, those who sent letters home received nothing in return. Some short-tempered parents even scolded them in their replies, telling them to focus more on their studies and stop thinking about unrealistic things all day.
Rosier is one of them.
"Nimbus 2000? I Nimbus 2100, do you want it?!"
He crumpled the reply in his hand into a ball, and just as he was about to throw it away, he suddenly remembered something, pulled his hand back, and angrily questioned, "Still no news?"
The people around looked at each other, but no one said a word.
"Waste!"
Just as Rosier was about to flip the plate, a Slytherin player rushed over.
"Captain, I've found out."
Marcus Flint grinned, revealing a row of large front teeth, and said, "When I passed the Quidditch Pitch, I saw the Gryffindor Quidditch Team there. They must be trying to sneakily test the brooms' performance while we were having dinner in the Great Hall."
Rosier looked up.
Sure enough, none of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team were in the Great Hall.
"Captain, should we go take a look?" Marcus asked tentatively.
"Walk!"
Without hesitation, Rosier led his group toward the Quidditch Pitch.
Just as Marcus said, the Gryffindor Quidditch Team was indeed all there, but they weren't training or testing their brooms; they were... fighting?
To be precise, it was the Weasley family twins fighting, and the others were trying to break them up.
Seeing this, Marcus exclaimed with delight, "There's internal conflict within Gryffindor?"
The match is scheduled for this afternoon, and the fact that the opposing team is experiencing internal discord is fantastic news for Slytherin.
Rosier also discovered that the package delivered by the owl that morning was placed near the passageway where they were.
Moreover, there was no one around to watch over them.
A minute later, the Slytherin members left the Quidditch Pitch, forming a tight circle that completely blocked the person in the middle.
Instead of returning to the Great Hall for their meal or to the common room, they randomly found an empty classroom and went inside.
After closing the door, they dispersed, revealing the person surrounded in the middle... and the long, thin package he was holding.
"Captain, is it okay to hide here?" Marcus asked somewhat uneasily. "I think it's better to just let them rest here..."
Before he could finish speaking, Rosier kicked him.
He wasn't trying to steal the broom; he just wanted to hide it before the competition so the Gryffindor couldn't use it.
What's the point of putting it in the common lounge? What if someone lets it slip?
Slytherin steals brooms?
If this news gets out, Professor Snape will be the first to punish him.
Rosier looked around and found that all the tables were covered with a thick layer of dust, clearly indicating that they hadn't been used for a long time.
"This is fine. Remember to hide somewhere well," Rosier said.
But no one moved; everyone stood still, staring at the person who had taken the package.
After a long silence, someone suddenly suggested, "Why don't we open it and see? What if it's not a broom inside? We'll have wasted our time."
The others nodded in agreement.
"No, you can't open it."
Rosier resolutely refused, snatched the package, and set it aside.
He knew the Gryffindor people; if the news was false, the package definitely didn't contain anything good.
So it's best to leave it here untouched.
"Hehehe, you clever little devil."
A small, milky-white dwarf suddenly appeared outside the window.
"Get out of here, Peeves!" Rosier said in a deep voice.
"You impolite brat, you'll be punished!"
Peeves angrily smashed the glass and threw in a balloon filled with liquid.
The balloon didn't hit anyone; instead, it landed precisely on the package.
Whether it was from getting wet or for some other reason, the package began to swell violently.
"I knew it... Damn Peeves!"
Rosier turned to leave, but the door was stuck and couldn't be opened from the inside.
He drew his wand, "Thunderbolt..."
"Bang..."
With a loud bang, the package finally exploded, and a strong stench instantly filled the entire classroom.
