I Solemnly Swear I Won't Do Good Deeds
"The game is over," Kyle thought to himself, watching the changes on the court.
He could roughly guess what was going on.
Perhaps influenced by the commentator, or perhaps because Snape was also watching the game, for the first twenty minutes, the Slytherin Quidditch Team was indeed holding their breath, hoping to create a miracle.
Therefore, they will naturally give it their all when playing.
But after they realized that despite their best efforts, they still couldn't surpass Hufflepuff in the score, their pent-up frustration dissipated.
Simply put, it means: I tried my best... but it was useless... so I gave up.
Moreover, while it was certainly a pity that their own college couldn't win the championship, they were even more unwilling to see Gryffindor win.
Since we can't surpass Hufflepuff's 300 points, we might as well give Gryffindor more trouble and send Hufflepuff a few more balls.
In the final match, every ball they throw today could be the spear that shatters Gryffindor's championship dream.
That's enough.
Slytherin began to act, but they weren't stupid enough to openly perform in front of everyone; instead, they only revealed a little bit at crucial moments.
So most of the young wizards didn't notice anything wrong, thinking they were just unlucky or slow to react due to exhaustion.
But not everyone can't see it.
In the Gryffindor stands, Charlie angrily pounded the stone steps in front of him, shouting, "Damn Rosier! I thought they'd changed for the better!"
"This is cheating!" Fred and George were furious, shouting from the stands, "They're throwing the match! They should be disqualified immediately!"
Despite Fred and George's best efforts to shout, their voices barely made a ripple compared to the deafening cheers around them.
Apart from a few people nearby, no one else could hear it at all.
After realizing that their shouting had no effect, Fred and George exchanged a glance and got up to walk towards the commentary booth.
The match was definitely not going to be cancelled; they just wanted to use the commentators to expose Slytherin's despicable match-fixing to everyone.
But they were stopped as soon as they got close to the commentary booth.
"Weasley, what are you doing here?"
Professor McGonagall looked at them sternly and said, "This is not a place for you. Go back and watch the game."
"But Professor McGonagall ..." Fred shouted, "Slytherin are throwing the match! They're deliberately losing points!"
George echoed, "They'd do something like this just to prevent Gryffindor the Quidditch Cup, and you're not going to do anything about it?!"
Professor McGonagall was silent for a moment. "This is just your speculation, Mr. Weasley. There is no evidence to suggest that they deliberately lost points."
"But..."
Fred was about to say something more, but Professor McGonagall interrupted him.
"Go back and watch the game," she said sternly. "During Quidditch Match, no one except the commentator is allowed to touch the microphone; that's the rule."
"Can..."
"Never mind, Fred." George tugged at Fred's robe and shook his head slightly. "Sorry, Professor McGonagall, we'll head back now."
Professor McGonagall didn't speak, she just nodded slightly.
Before leaving, clinging to their last shred of hope, the two turned to look at the commentator.
They were speaking very loudly just now; at this close range, the other party could definitely hear them, especially if he were willing to help...
Fred and George stood there for a minute, but the other continued to passionately commentate on the game, showing no sign of stopping.
The two were completely disheartened and returned to their original positions without saying a word.
They figured it out: commentators naturally know Quidditch well, so how could they not see such obvious match-fixing? Why would they need to point it out?
Clearly, the other party, like Professor McGonagall, chose to remain silent.
After they returned to the Gryffindor stands, Lee Jordan immediately went up to them and asked, "How was it?"
Fred and George shook their heads simultaneously.
"Despicable Slytherin, cowardly and incompetent commentators, how could they do this?"
Lee Jordan was furious. "I was originally planning to compete for the Seeker position next year, but now I've changed my mind. I'm going to be a commentator."
"Go!"
We support you!
Fred and George simultaneously put their hands on Lee Jordan's shoulders. "We need to have our own voice!"
On the pitch, Hufflepuff's players also noticed Slytherin's unusual behavior.
Harris glanced at the opponent's goal, a hint of hesitation flashing in his eyes.
After a moment, he suddenly took a deep breath, and his eyes became firm.
After that, under Harris's leadership, the Hufflepuff team also slowed down. They stopped trying to attack and instead tightened their formation, adopting a defensive posture.
"These idiots!"
Rosier gritted his teeth and threw the Quaffle towards the Hufflepuff goalpost.
With a crisp sound, the Quaffle hit the rim and bounced away.
After receiving the ball, Harris calmly flew to the other side of the court and hit the ball against the Slytherin sideline.
"What a pity. It seems that after such a long match, Hufflepuff is starting to make mistakes."
The commentator said in a lighthearted voice, "Now it's a battle between the Seeker. Whoever catches the Golden Snitch first will win the game."
Kyle lost interest in watching the rest of the games.
He silently retreated to the last row of the stands and took a piece of parchment from his robe pocket.
The Marauder's Map, which he specifically borrowed from Fred and George before the match began.
Kyle took out his wand and gently tapped it on the parchment.
"I solemnly swear that I will not do any good deeds."
Unlike Fred and George, who only gave half of the commands, Kyle recited the complete ones.
In fact, Fred and George had already found seven words; with their intelligence, they could have guessed the complete password long ago if they wanted to.
But they didn't do that, and when Kyle tried to tell them under some pretext, the two refused.
They were exceptionally determined on this matter; they were determined to "find" all the clues, not just guess.
Kyle, however, didn't care.
As the ink lines spread, the true Marauder's Map was revealed before him.
Kyle first noted down the locations of some secret passages, such as the one leading to the Seventh Floor and the one leading to the cellar of the Honeydukes's shop; these would come in handy later.
After taking notes, Kyle turned his gaze to the Hufflepuff common room.
