The Headmaster's Office vanished. Professor McGonagall felt as though she had flown through countless shifting shapes and colors before finally landing back on solid ground.

Then Kyle appeared as well. He too was curious about exactly what memories Dumbledore had left behind to clear Snape's name.

If Snape had been there, he definitely would not have let him see these memories... memories that could practically be called black history.

Unfortunately, he was not in the Headmaster's Office at the moment, which was one of the reasons Kyle was willing to help.

Whether Dumbledore had done it deliberately or not, they appeared directly opposite Snape.

He stood atop a bleak, freezing mountain peak, gripping his wand tightly as though waiting for someone.

Professor McGonagall stood silently across from him, her expression stern.

If this had not been a memory, she probably would have stepped forward and punched Snape straight away.

"Kyle, what exactly do you want me to see..."

Suddenly, a blinding white flash streaked across the sky. It looked like lightning, but Snape dropped to his knees with a thud, his wand falling beside him.

"Don't kill me!"

"That wasn't my intention!"

Kyle instinctively reached into his pocket, only realizing a moment later that he was inside Dumbledore's memory and did not have his Mokeskin Pouch on him at all.

Actually, he had not intended to do anything in the first place.

Kyle pretended that nothing had happened and withdrew his hand again... though there was no need to go to such trouble. Professor McGonagall, the only one who could see him, had all her attention fixed on Dumbledore, who had just Apparated over.

He stood before Snape, his robes billowing in the wind. The light from his wand shone up at his face, making him overwhelmingly imposing.

"Well, Severus...
