Background / History

Lu Yu awakened the Eight-Faced Han Sword at Martial Soul Hall with only level five soul power. Calm during the ceremony, he immediately took responsibility for Lu Fei’s training, believing that a support-type soul master needed the strength to survive combat. He trained Lu Fei through real battles against wild beasts and cultivated using the Heaven Origin Technique, which strengthens physique, soul power, and mental strength simultaneously. 3 4

He attended Notting Academy, where his conflicts with Tang San escalated from sparring to repeated violent confrontations. Lu Yu deliberately injured Tang San to complete a system mission, later defeated him again after Tang San used sword techniques Lu Yu regarded as stolen. Lu Yu controlled his force enough to avoid killing him, partly because he feared provoking Tang Hao. 11 22

After obtaining an over-limit 700-year first soul ring, Lu Yu sought Martial Soul Hall’s protection without immediately committing himself.
