Background / History

Zheng Feng was born into the Zheng Family, one of the five great families of Lin Prefecture Great City. His father held influence within the family and discovered Jiang Chuxue in a poor village, brought her home to cultivate, and arranged her betrothal to Zheng Feng. 231

His circumstances collapsed after both parents disappeared while travelling in Miao Prefecture. Zheng Feng and his younger sister Zheng Hui lost their standing in the family; Jiang Chuxue entered a relationship with Zheng Feng's cousin, Zheng Lin, and the family elders pressured Zheng Feng to dissolve the engagement. He ultimately left Lin Prefecture Great City with Zheng Hui and joined the Azure Sky Sect. 231 293

As an Azure Sky Sect true disciple, Zheng Feng was sent to Anxi County to suppress unrest. He dealt with the inside agent Zhang He and his family, but White Old Three escaped him—an embarrassment that became a recurring sore point. 43 85 He later pursued White Old Three through the Former Dynasty Ruins with Jiang Ye and Zheng Hui, refusing to let the bandit escape a second time. 111

During the Former Dynasty Ruins expedition, Zheng Feng became one of Jiang Ye's closest allies. He contributed fire-attribute combat support, identified rare treasures and spirit herbs, and received Azure Sky Spirit Liquid and contribution points for the mission alongside Jiang Ye. 106 109 126

He initially hesitated when offered the chance to enter the Lin Prefecture Upper Sect, fearing renewed contact with his former family and fiancée. He ultimately chose to go, asking Jiang Ye to bring Zheng Hui as well. 207 214

Zheng Feng attended Zheng Lin and Jiang Chuxue's wedding with Jiang Ye. When the marriage collapsed amid revelations concerning Jiang Chuxue, he openly laughed at the ceremony and left with the emotional knot that had hindered his cultivation finally broken. 267 272 After seclusion, he overcame his inner demon, reached Core Formation perfection, and advanced to the Gang Qi Realm. 274 277

When Zheng Hui disappeared in Lin Prefecture Great City, Zheng Feng immediately suspected the Zheng Family, whose members had long coveted her exceptional sense of smell. He sought Jiang Ye's help and confronted Zheng Guang and the family directly as Jiang Ye forced their way into the Zheng residence. 293 295 297

Zheng Feng is a young man with refined, handsome features and a generally composed bearing. His appearance becomes visibly strained whenever his past with Jiang Chuxue or the Zheng Family is brought to the surface. 85 231

Zheng Feng is upright, disciplined, and notably humble despite his background and status as a true disciple. He accepts responsibility for White Old Three's escape rather than making excuses, and he treats Jiang Ye with consistent respect. 85 96

He can be impatient during fruitless searches and intensely vengeful toward those connected to his past, particularly White Old Three, Jiang Chuxue, and the Zheng Family. However, he is capable of restraint: when confronted by Jiang Chuxue at the Weapon Forging Hall, he suppresses his rage and withdraws rather than attacking impulsively. 103 111 231

His strongest personal loyalty is to Zheng Hui. He consistently prioritizes her safety, keeps her out of combat when possible, and left the Zheng Family with her to protect her from relatives seeking to exploit her talent. 104 163 293
