Prince Ning's crimes

Liu Binghu carried evidence of Prince Ning's crimes to Yangzhou. Anticipating that Prince Ning's agents would destroy the ledgers and records, he tattooed copies of the evidence across his chest and back. He was severely wounded during the pursuit but refused to yield. 119

The Giant Elephant Sect arranged his escort to Censor Yu in Yangzhou. Li Beichen rescued him, while Zhang Jingque stabilized his condition with seven secret pills; Li then escorted Liu Binghu to the Yangtze River ferry under the cover of Azure Pupil illusions. 117 119 120

Although Censor Yu submitted a memorial against Prince Ning, corrupt eunuchs and officials turned the accusation against him and stripped him of office. Liu Binghu nevertheless retained his faith in Censor Yu's integrity. 133

Return to Elephant Mound

After reaching Yangzhou, Liu Binghu learned that Li Beichen and the Giant Elephant Sect had protected him. When Prince Ning's forces advanced toward Yueyang, he rode south at extreme speed—wearing out three horses—to help defend the sect, despite believing the journey could be fatal. 132 133

At this point, he had reached Third-Grade Marrow Refining. His willingness to face Prince Ning's ten-thousand-strong force alongside the Giant Elephant Sect earns Li Beichen's respect. 132 133

Service under Zhuge Yangming

Following the victory at Elephant Mound Ferry, Liu Binghu chose to pledge himself to Zhuge Yangming, the Governor of Yangzhou, because Censor Yu had described Zhuge as a man capable of reshaping heaven and earth. 138

He later returned to Elephant Mound as Zhuge's envoy, requesting the Giant Elephant Sect's Hundred Elephant Formation for a surprise assault on Nanchang. Zhuge had explicitly allowed Liu Binghu to speak candidly with Li Beichen. 140

Liu Binghu regarded Zhuge Yangming as his teacher and accompanied him when Zhuge travelled to Xiuwen County to teach at an academy. 165

Rise of the Tiger Army

Liu Binghu formed the Tiger Army in Jiangnan, where it gained a reputation as a righteous force. In many places, commoners voluntarily opened their city gates to receive his troops. 220

Li Beichen and the Giant Elephant Sect supplied the Tiger Army with weapons, armor, equipment, and disciples who wished to support Liu Binghu's cause. Liu Binghu sought these resources in part because he did not want to overburden the people with military production. 221

After the fall of the Great Liang capital, Liu Binghu incorporated one hundred thousand former imperial soldiers into the Tiger Army, bringing his total strength to roughly one hundred and fifty thousand troops. 234

Unification of the Nine Provinces

Liu Binghu launched a northern expedition from Nanjing, capturing cities and territories while facing resistance from rival warlords and experts from the Grotto-Heaven Blessed Lands. 240

When Xiao Daosheng's Youyun Iron Cavalry threatened the northern campaign, Liu Binghu offered Li Beichen the final Martial Fortune Golden Pellet of Great Liang in exchange for assistance. The pellet could have supported Liu Binghu's own attempt to become a Blood-Changing Martial Saint, but he chose to spend it on securing the campaign. 251

With Sun Zhige's command and Li Beichen's intervention at Juyong Pass, Liu Binghu won the northern battlefield and brought five of the Nine Provinces under his control. 253

He later broke Jianmen Pass, defeated Li Sanfeng, captured Chengdu, and unified the Nine Provinces. After Li Sanfeng's defeat, Liu Binghu promised that surrendered soldiers could return home as farmers or merchants rather than face slaughter. 257 258

Founding Emperor of Great Han

Liu Binghu established the Great Han Dynasty in Nanjing and became its founding emperor. His accession granted him immense Son of Heaven Dragon Qi, but it also caused his former martial cultivation to steadily decline. 259 309

Together with Zhuge Yangming, he planned the Severing Heaven and Earth ritual: an effort to lock the Grotto-Heaven Blessed Lands out of the Nine Provinces and prevent Ancient Martial True Cultivators from descending. 259

He later pursued the Imperial Way inheritance within the Yinxu Grotto-Heaven. Although the Human Emperor Sutra's martial inheritance had been lost, Li Beichen ultimately delivered the Imperial Ultimate World-Ordering Book to him through the Imperial Jade Seal. 320 331 332
