The City Falls!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three streaks of golden light slammed viciously into the giant bear-man's iron hammer, producing three strange thunderous blasts in succession, like an iron war drum being struck. Wave-like sound rippled outward from the hammerhead in every direction.

The giant bear-man's body, as though a heavenly star had fallen from the ninth heaven, paused in midair after being struck by the three golden lights. But then it let out another earthshaking roar, and a wave of earthen-yellow air burst from its powerful body.

"Break!"

The massive hammer continued hurtling toward the empty air above the moat.

This time, the black shadow that had released the three streaks of golden light was helpless and could only watch as the massive hammer fell.

Clang—

A sound rang out as though a porcelain vase had been smashed to pieces on the ground. A golden, glazed dome suddenly appeared above the moat, then shattered piece by piece. In an instant, a huge hole broke open in it. Then the golden glazed dome vanished strangely once more.

"Demon, you seek death!" The black shadow revealed himself. He was a Daoist in a black robe, holding a whisk in one hand and a bronze mirror in the other.

After shouting, he swept the whisk across the surface of the bronze mirror, and a beam of golden light shot out from it, straight at the giant bear-man.

The giant bear-man gave a contemptuous snort. With a sweep of its hammer, it smashed apart the golden beam with little effort this time. Then, paying the black-robed Daoist no heed whatsoever, it shouted, "Follow me! Kill our way in!"

Awooo! Awooo! Awooo!

Seeing their leader's overwhelming prowess, the demons' morale surged. Like a black mountain flood, they poured toward the city walls.
