Background

Wang Shu was one of Daoxiang Village's two children to awaken Innate Soul Power. He wielded an axe Martial Soul and had Innate Soul Power Level Two. Though Su Yuntao invited him to join Spirit Hall, Wang Shu refused because he believed Lu Yi's training guidance had enabled his awakening and chose to remain at Lu Yi's side instead 1 2.

His parents supported this decision, and Village Chief Lu Rui obtained a Work-Study Student place for him at Nuoding Academy. Wang Shu and Lu Yi entered the academy together, with the village placing its hopes for the future on them 2.

Personality

Upon entering the Seventh Dormitory, Wang Shu refused Wang Sheng's demand that he acknowledge Xiong Kui and Wang Sheng as his “big brothers.” When Wang Sheng insulted Lu Yi, Wang Shu immediately attacked with his axe and incapacitated him with an upward kick. Lu Yi subsequently intervened against Xiong Kui to protect Wang Shu 3.

Conflict with Noble Students

Wang Shu was restrained and slapped by Xiao Chenyu's group after the noble students surrounded him. Lu Yi arrived to rescue him, then promised Wang Shu the chance to personally settle the score with Xiao Chenyu afterward 6.
