Acquisition and Absorption
Lu Yi’s first Soul Ring hunt begins with Yu Xiaogang and Flender searching the Star Dou Great Forest for a high-quality water-element Soul Beast. Their initial targets include the Wave-Calling Azure Scale Fish, Dark Tide Ink Scale Turtle, Thousand-Thread Water Spider Mother, and Turbulent Vortex Conch. 12
Instead, the group finds an injured 860-year Mysterious Cang Armor Carp. Lu Yi kills it using a Three-Bow Bed Crossbow, summons Magikarp, and draws the newly formed ring toward his Martial Soul. The absorption lasts roughly two hours and completes successfully. 13 14
Later, Lu Yi enters the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye after consuming the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Infernal Delicate Apricot. The souls of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings enter his body and fuse into a red-and-blue taiji-like disc, leading to Magikarp’s evolution into Gyarados and the manifestation of god-level Soul Ring power. 25 26
