Gu Yi completed the Asura God’s final trial after helping Spirit Hall defeat the Star Luo forces and securing his family’s safety. He became a god, returned to his loved ones, and asked Zhu Zhuqing whether she wanted to become a god too.

• Gu Yi infiltrated the enemy camp and learned that Tang San and the others were staying in Star Luo City, then attacked Ning Rongrong but was driven off by Tang Hao and Tang Xiao.
• Gu Yi and his allies poisoned the Star Luo army, helping force its retreat, and Spirit Hall later advanced toward the capital.
• Gu Yi killed Ning Rongrong to complete the Asura God’s Eighth Trial, then joined the battle against Tiger God Douluo and defeated him.
• After Spirit Hall conquered Star Luo, Gu Yi entrusted his family’s safety to Qian Daoliu and traveled to the Northern Icefield to find a soul bone.
• Gu Yi acquired a Snow Dragon soul bone and helped Ling Yan rescue her father, then killed Qi Tian and left Ling Yan in charge of the city.
• Gu Yi entered the Asura God’s final trial, judged Bibi Dong innocent in the trial’s scenario, and completed the trial despite the Asura God’s disagreement.
• Gu Yi absorbed the soul bones, reached godhood, and returned to Spirit City, where he reassured Qian Daoliu that he would not initiate a fight with Bibi Dong.
• Gu Yi reunited with Gu Rong and Zhu Zhuqing, promised Zhu Zhuqing they would stay together, and asked whether she wanted to become a god.

Gu Yi helped Zhu Zhuqing pursue the Sea God’s inheritance while gathering resources and hunting million-year Soul Beasts in the Sun Moon Empire. The arc ended with Gu Yi breaking into Holy Court Tianyuan as Yan Yan chose to follow and investigate him.

• Zhu Zhuqing chose the Sea God’s inheritance, and Gu Yi warned Bibi Dong that he would oppose her if she harmed his loved ones or innocent people.
• Gu Yi brought Zhu Zhuqing to Sea God Island, where she received the Sea God’s Nine Tests despite Gu Yi’s clashes with the island’s guardians.
• With Soul Masters’ buffs and Gu Yi’s help, Zhu Zhuqing passed her first test, then later defeated Xiao Bai and began enduring the Raging Wave Desperate Situation.
• While Zhu Zhuqing trained, Gu Yi killed the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King and traveled to the Sun Moon Empire to find more million-year Soul Beasts.
• Gu Yi obtained information about three possible million-year Soul Beasts from the Mingde Merchant Guild and agreed to take Yan Yan along after she claimed to know their locations.
• Gu Yi killed the Frost Hellfire Sheep in Moon Soul Forest and absorbed its million-year Soul Ring, gaining the Delusion Illusion skill.
• Yan Tian ambushed Gu Yi near Holy Court Tianyuan, but Gu Yi repelled his forces and shattered the entrance barrier after it rejected him.
• Gu Yi entered Holy Court Tianyuan, while Yan Yan decided that investigating him interested her more than pursuing a million-year Soul Beast.

Gu Yi hunted the final Million Year Soul Beasts and brought Yan Yan to Sea God Island, where Zhu Zhuqing completed her fourth and fifth trials. After Zhu Zhuqing reached rank ninety-three, Gu Yi confronted the Seven Saint Pillar Douluo over the injuries she had suffered, and the fight began.

• Gu Yi killed the Unicorn Pegasus and absorbed its Soul Ring, then learned from Yan Yan about the final soul beast and helped her survive by infusing her with Divine Power.
• Gu Yi and Yan Yan found and defeated the White Whale in Mist Shadow Dense Forest, then traveled to the Azure Sea Region, where Gu Yi killed Gray Whale after it attacked them.
• Gu Yi returned to Sea God Island with Yan Yan and reunited with Zhu Zhuqing, who had completed her earlier trial and reached level eighty-five.
• Zhu Zhuqing killed the Evil Orca King with Xiao Bai’s help, completing her fourth test and gaining a 10% increase in Sea God Affinity.
• Zhu Zhuqing defeated Sea Star Douluo, Sea Witch, Sea Spear Douluo, Sea Horse Douluo, Sea Illusion Douluo, and Sea Ghost Douluo as she undertook the Fifth God Test.
• Zhu Zhuqing outlasted Sea Dragon Douluo’s attacks and passed the Fifth God Test, then cultivated for nearly six months, reached rank ninety-three, and awakened Nether Flash.
• Gu Yi sealed the altar and challenged the Seven Saint Pillar Douluo over Zhu Zhuqing’s injuries, using Delusional Heart Sound to make Sea Spear Douluo attack Sea Dragon Douluo as the others joined the fight.

Gu Yi helped Zhu Zhuqing complete the Sea God’s trials while searching for his final Million Year Soul Ring, then hurried to Spirit City as Bibi Dong claimed the Rakshasa God position. Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong began their battle, which Zhu Zhuqing interrupted after completing her own inheritance.

• Gu Yi killed the Slaughter King to save Gu Rong and Dugu Bo, then took Gu Rong to Sea God Island for a God Trial.
• Gu Rong advanced through his trials as Zhu Zhuqing passed her Seventh Test by pulling Poseidon’s Trident and learned that her Eighth Test required Gu Yi to obtain his final Million Year Soul Ring.
• Gu Yi and Zhu Zhuqing searched the northern icefields and ocean, found a mammoth facing a Heavenly Tribulation, and Gu Yi killed it for his final soul ring.
• Gu Yi returned to Sea God Island, where the Sea God urged him to go to Spirit City as Zhu Zhuqing began her Ninth Trial and Bibi Dong neared her Rakshasa inheritance.
• Bo Saixi sacrificed herself to open the inheritance gate, and Zhu Zhuqing endured the Sea God’s final trial, resisting illusions of Gu Yi in danger and Dai Mubai.
• Zhu Zhuqing completed the Sea God’s inheritance as Gu Yi reached Spirit City and found Bibi Dong newly transformed into a god.
• Qian Renxue emerged after completing the Angel Nine Trials and attacked Bibi Dong, while Gu Yi revealed the truth about Qian Xunji’s abuse of Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue rejected Bibi Dong as her mother.
• Bibi Dong trapped Gu Yi and Qian Renxue in Rakshasa Prison and wounded Qian Renxue, but Zhu Zhuqing pierced the domain and blocked Bibi Dong’s next strike.
