Borrowing Fire to Refine the Sword

Although the Five Qi Grotto-Heaven was an independent grotto-heaven, it still had to rely on heaven and earth to exist. Without heaven and earth, there would be no inexhaustible Five Elements spiritual qi within the Five Qi Grotto-Heaven.

A grotto-heaven was like a fruit growing upon the great tree of heaven and earth, condensing a portion of heaven and earth's vital essence. Without heaven and earth to support it, the grotto-heaven would quickly wither and decline, ultimately collapsing into ruin.

Having reached his current level of cultivation, Gao Xian naturally possessed a deep understanding of the nature of grotto-heavens.
