• Chōjirō Sasakibe reported that Isshin Shiba's spiritual pressure had been detected in Karakura Town, and Mayuri Kurotsuchi assured the captains the readings were reliable.
• Yamamoto Genryusai announced that Isshin had given Soul Reaper power to a human, married, and had children, then ordered that he be brought back to Soul Society by sunrise.

• Ichigo woke at Urahara Shop and learned Isshin had been taken away by Toshiro Hitsugaya and Tsunayashiro Su Feng, while Renji revealed that they had lost their powers after Su Feng cut their Saketsu and Hakusui.
• Kisuke Urahara promised to restore Ichigo and Renji’s powers, and Renji said he wanted to return to Soul Society and recover the Lord Su Feng of the past.

Meanwhile, Su Feng prepared to let Aizen and the others play out their moves, and the group’s attempt to enter Seireitei ended with an alarm identifying Ichigo as a Quincy.

• Renji Abarai led Ichigo, Orihime Inoue, and Yasutora Sado through Rukongai to the Shiba estate, where Ichigo accidentally knocked Ganju Shiba into a crater.

• Ichigo broke through Jidanbō’s attack at Hakutōmon, but Gin Ichimaru blocked the group’s escape and accused Shiba Kaien of colluding with Quincy.
• Ichigo fought Gin with Holy Arrows of Destruction while Shiba Kūkaku and Ganju Shiba used flames and smoke to cover the group’s retreat.
• The intruders split up: Ichigo took Ganju Shiba, Shiba Kūkaku took Orihime Inoue, and Shiba Kaien entered Seireitei with Yasutora Sado while Renji Abarai went separately.

After the captains assigned Aizen to guard the Chamber of Penance, Su Feng told Toshiro Hitsugaya that the Shiba Family might lose its noble status. Meanwhile, Ichigo and Ganju fought Ikkaku and Yumichika, and Ichigo defeated Ikkaku with a Quincy attack before the survivors fled for treatment.

• Yamamoto Genryusai ended the captain's meeting, lifted the restrictions on Zanpakuto release, and Aizen accepted responsibility for guarding the Chamber of Penance while Hinamori took charge of the Fifth Division.
• Kenpachi Zaraki rushed off to hunt the invaders, while Su Feng told Toshiro Hitsugaya that the Gold Seal Council had rejected Isshin Shiba's appeal and might strip the Shiba Family of its noble status.
• Sajin Komamura declared that he would not allow injustice, and Kaname Tosen quietly questioned his faith in justice.
• Ichigo and Ganju encountered Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa; Ichigo asked whether Ikkaku or the Ninth Division captain was stronger, provoking Ikkaku to attack.

• Mayuri Kurotsuchi left Ikkaku Madarame's bedside, while Kenpachi Zaraki learned the intruders were headed for the Chamber of Penance and set off with Yachiru.
• Ikkaku Madarame asked Su Feng how large the gap between them was, and Su Feng answered that he could cut Ikkaku into seven pieces with three slashes.
• Su Feng used the Communication Device to track the Ryoka and found Shiba Kaien and Yasutora Sado moving through the Sixth Division district.
• Shiba Kaien attacked Su Feng with Nejibana, but Su Feng froze his waves with Hyōga Seiran, and Yasutora Sado's punch failed to hurt him.
• Su Feng struck with One Bone, burying Shiba Kaien and Yasutora Sado beneath rubble and leaving them unconscious, then gained Transcendent Spiritual Might.

Su Feng captured Shiba Kūkaku and Orihime Inoue after they tried to pass through the Fourth Division, while discussing the Shiba Family’s crimes and Soul Society’s laws with Byakuya Kuchiki. The chapter ended with Toshiro Hitsugaya and Renji Abarai facing off as both released their Bankai.

• Byakuya Kuchiki questioned Su Feng about the Shiba Family, and Su Feng said Isshin Shiba’s punishment came down to his lack of strength.

• Shunsui Kyoraku challenged Su Feng but withdrew after learning the execution had not yet begun, then asked Retsu Unohana whether she would side with Su Feng if he opposed Soul Society.
• Su Feng had Minazuki swallow Renji Abarai and Toshiro Hitsugaya, flew back toward his division barracks, and received a mission reward that raised him to Transcendent spiritual pressure.

Ichigo fought Captain Aizen while Ganju Shiba broke into the Chamber of Penance and rescued Isshin Shiba. When they reached the exit, they saw Aizen Sosuke dead atop the spire pierced by Ichigo’s Holy Arrow of Destruction.

• Aizen confronted Ichigo and claimed he had requested a reduced sentence for Isshin Shiba, but Ichigo chose to fight him.
• Ichigo closed his eyes to avoid Kyoka Suigetsu and attacked Aizen with Light Rain and Seishō, blasting him across the battlefield.

• Ichigo told Isshin Shiba that his strongest attack had pierced Aizen and nailed him to the spire, and Isshin took him and Ganju Shiba into hiding.
• Momo Hinamori learned of Aizen’s death, confirmed his corpse at the Fourth Division, and led Shinigami in a search for the killer.
• Shunsui Kyoraku received the Level One lockdown order and secured intelligence about the Five Great Noble Clans before heading out.
