"So, you deliberately let them capture you too?" Raven asked in confusion.
Li Yuan shrugged. "In a sense, that shadow-playing guy was indeed pretty formidable. I really couldn't beat him."
"But it wouldn't have been so easy for him to capture me. I sensed that he had something of mine on him."
"To get to the bottom of it, I showed myself and let him capture me."
"Otherwise, my tens of thousands of spawn could have kept him fighting until the end of time."
Just then, footsteps echoed from the corridor on the other side as well.
A blonde woman walked over from the other corridor. "Oh, everyone's here?"
Raven blinked. "Don't tell me you deliberately let them capture you too?"
"What do you mean, deliberately?"
Queen Bee tilted her head. "I simply lost, that's all."
Raven and the others exchanged glances. "Then how did you get out?"
Queen Bee flashed a seductive smile. "Sorry, but the ones assigned to observe and record my information were all men."
"So?"
"After gazing deeply into my eyes, they all fell in love with me. When they heard those people were going to execute me, they actually released me on their own, then started fighting their own people."
As she spoke, Queen Bee glanced at the charred corpse on the ground. "That thing that looks like charcoal... wasn't that Spider?"
Wang Haonan nodded.
"Yes. I'm impressed you could still recognize him."
Queen Bee sighed regretfully. "What a pity. I'd wanted to turn him into one of my Guardian Bees, but I didn't expect him to die so quickly."
Li Yuan tilted his head. "I had the same thought. These people have some interesting abilities. I wanted to turn them into Deep Ones—I feel like that might produce some unexpected results."
As soon as he finished speaking, the elevator in front of them suddenly started up.
The four of them turned toward the elevator in unison and watched as its doors slowly opened.
A muscular man stepped out of the elevator, then froze on the spot.
What the hell?
The muscular man blinked at the four monsters before him.
What happened?
Inside Rift Space.
Chen Ye was observing the outside world. When he saw the muscular man appear, he subconsciously plucked at the man's fate thread.
Unexpectedly, the muscular man's fate thread was too fragile. With just a light pluck, it snapped apart.
At the same time, a spinning electric fan suddenly flew over and chopped off the muscular man's head.
Like a chainsaw beheading someone, it sent blood spraying everywhere.
A tiny spark drifted onto Chen Ye's hand. "That fragile?"
After severing the man's head, the electric fan continued flying forward.
Suddenly, a group of Nine-Tailed Fox soldiers appeared in the distant corridor!
"Target spotted!"
Seeing the Nine-Tailed Fox hunters, Chen Ye grabbed their fate threads, but only gave them a gentle pluck.
Buzz!
The electric fan instantly swept past the group, but did not hit anyone.
"Oh, these people have pretty tough lives."
Chen Ye meant "tough lives" literally. Their fate threads had not snapped after he plucked them, so they truly were quite tough.
With that in mind, Chen Ye held their fate threads in one hand and placed his other hand over them, beginning to pluck them rhythmically.
Buzz!
The electric fan flew past again, and the Nine-Tailed Foxes abruptly dropped to the ground!
"Get down!"
Chen Ye's fingers kept plucking, as though he were playing a zither. The fate threads swayed and rippled, and the electric fan turned around before flying back!
Snap!
Just then, one person's fate thread snapped.
At the same time, the electric fan plunged directly into that person's body!
Splat!
"Ahhh!"
Chen Ye smiled faintly and continued using everyone's fate threads to play "Dong Feng Po."
The entire scene was utterly ridiculous. To the people outside, those men looked as though they were repeatedly dancing along the edge of death.
The murderous electric fan circled around them, slashing horizontally one moment and vertically the next. The group bent backward one moment and twisted sideways the next.
Those few movements made it look as though they were on some variety show, dodging an approaching wall.
Only when their fate threads could no longer endure it did Chen Ye snap them all at once, and the electric fan directly bathed the crowd in blood!
Watching the bloody scene before them, the group turned and exchanged looks.
"What was that thing?"
"Just one of Sequence 009's trash split-offs."
"Speaking of trash split-offs..."
"On my way here, I happened to see those Nine-Tailed Foxes researching these stones, so I snatched them." Wang Haonan opened his hands, revealing twelve stones.
"What are these?"
"One of Sequence 009's trash split-offs, but they're pretty useful."
"Have you watched Jackie Chan Adventures?"
"No."
Wang Haonan took out three stones and tossed them to Li Yuan. "Ox: strength. Horse: healing. Rooster: gravity."
Li Yuan caught the three stones, and a terrifying power instantly flooded into every part of his body.
"This is rather interesting."
Wang Haonan then looked at Queen Bee and tossed her three stones as well.
"Dog: immortality. Snake: invisibility. Goat: astral projection."
Queen Bee was stunned for a moment. "You gave me all the life-saving ones? Do I seem that fragile to you, darling?"
"I think these suit you better." With that, Wang Haonan turned to Raven.
Raven obediently held out its hands. "What about me? What are you giving me?"
Wang Haonan took out three stones and placed them in its hands. "Rabbit: speed. Dragon: flames. Pig: laser eyes."
"What did you keep for yourself?"
Wang Haonan raised three stones in his hand. "The three most useless ones."
"Rat: animate the inanimate. Monkey: shapeshifting. Tiger: yin-yang balance."
"Will that be enough?"
The others instinctively felt that Wang Haonan was the weakest among them.
What they did not know was that Wang Haonan had already evolved.
He now possessed a conceptual-level ability.
The second-stage potion he had taken was Mirror Demon.
As its name implied, Mirror Demon could travel through any mirror-like surface, or rather, any object with reflective surfaces.
And while he traveled through those reflective surfaces, even if the outside world crumbled apart, it had nothing to do with him.
Within the mirror world, he could neither be attacked nor affected by the outside world.
Yet when someone's reflection appeared in a mirror, Wang Haonan could attack them.
In other words, attacking him was useless, while attacking others was like beating up their son.
And Wang Haonan's own invisibility ability still existed. Thus, he could also turn invisible within mirrors and kill people.
It truly made enemies impossible to guard against, leaving them utterly bewildered.
The only flaw was that this ability depended on the refraction of light.
Without light, Wang Haonan could not use his ability.
Wang Haonan clenched the three stones in his hand.

"This mission is complete. It's time for me to leave."
Wang Haonan's mission had not been to rescue them. Chen Ye had not told him to, so he had only come to kill Sequence 009.
Saving Li Yuan had merely been a coincidence.
Do not think Wang Haonan was thick-headed. He was the only one who could understand Chen Ye's orders.
