As the Great Buddha Hall trembled, the Shakyamuni Buddha statue on the main pedestal actually braced itself against a pillar and slowly stood up from its lotus throne.

However, whatever material the statue was made of, his Divine Wind Swords—capable of cleaving stone and snapping jade—vanished upon contact as if they had sunk into the sea, not even leaving a scratch behind.
